Ripple-wood offers the best gourmet double-patty burgers and fries in the area.
Being served by Collin the bartender made our lunch experience particularly fun and informative.
I love the Ripplewood! Always outstanding food and drinks. The atmosphere is nice and cozy abd the music is always good!
Food was excellent and presentation was beautiful!
We were on our way down town to a concert so our waiter made sure to have our food out in a very timely fashion.
Great creative cocktails. Small plates are perfect for sharing. The grilled octopus is a standout. Book your reservations well ahead, because this place is really popular
Bartender served drinks with way too many pieces of ice for craft cocktails. Drinks were like slushees
Every other 5 star I’ve ever given should be dropped to a four star. This is a true 5 star. My compliments to the chef. Every single bite was an exploration in flavor combinations and textures that melted together perfectly. Exceptional.
Great variety of food choices. Lively bar / restaurant atmosphere. Polite fun service.
Congratulations are in order! Every thing was excellent! Will be back of course!
We had a great dinner. My only complaint was that I requested a high top table when making my reservation but was not seated at one but instead at a regular table in a deserted room. There was an available 4 person high top table open during our entire visit. I am not sure why I was given that option during the reservation process through opentable if it was not going to be acknowledged by the restaurant.
We went for brunch and had one of the best Bloody Mary’s we’ve ever had. Just the right amount of heat. For our meals I had the Eggs Benedict with the house made gravlax. I always order this there for brunch and it’s always perfect. My husband had the omelette with short ribs. He always orders this. One weekend we need to to come both Saturday and Sunday for the brunch so we can order something else! Also for a side dish we shared two orders of the beet hash browns. Also, not to be missed. My friend had the the Eggs Benedict with spinach and totally cleaned his plate. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the incredible Carrot Cake we shared for dessert.
This place never disappoints.
Great food, company and service. Highly recommend
We got 3 shareable appetizers, rip fries, garlic shrimp and hot wings. All the food was delicious. Cocktails were very original and lovely
Great place. Always a great experience.
Food was pretty good, our server was great!
Delicious food and drinks. Back room lacks ambience. Decent portions but would be nice to have side dishes. Four of us shared two apps and each had an entree . We were not full at the end of the meal. Would definitely go back, though.
Delicious food & great service. Seated upstairs for a quieter ambience.
Ripplewood never disappoints. Great new cocktails (bourbon punch and gin and violette something) and new menu items (branzino was especially good).
We left saying we were going to name Ripplewood as something we're grateful for this Thanksgiving (yes, we go a lot)!
I have been here several times and food and service are always great. Chicken wings are best in town, always served hot and crispy with excellent homemade spicy sauce. My guest and I both had the Branzino entree, it was also delicious, crispy skin and perfectly cooked.
On our first visit to Ripplewood, we were treated like regulars. The service, particularly from our bartender/server, Michael, was excellent. He was able to recommend drinks suited to our tastes and made the best Old Fashioned (with rye rather than bourbon at his suggestion) that I have ever had. The "Riff Fries" were a decadent blend of cheese, peppers and brisket and were a highlight. The octopus was tender and nicely paired with cheese. The pasta special was overly salty, however. We had mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and were treated to a complementary dessert, which was a very nice addition.
Dropped in for pre theatre cocktails and apps. Tried 6 different cocktails between the 4 of us. Good but not great. Liked the vege app options. Noisy and expensive.
Mike was a terrific server—knowledgeable and warm. Food was either delightful (Brussels sprouts, sweet potato “fries”) or so-so (mushroom soup, flat bread). Wish other staff kept water glasses full, cleared more quickly.
Server was knowledgeable and personable. Food was good but...my (high) expectations weren't met completely. Overall, a welcome addition to our local dining options. I will go back and hope for an even better experience.
Great place, great experience, nice ambiance........................................,
It was noisy and crowded. We are not hip. This is not for anyone who is not hip.
It should not advertise itself as upscale pub food. It is a bar scene.
This place is mixed. Interesting drink menu and some tasty and innovative bar drinks. Penicillin gets a thumbs up as does the whiskey sour. Wine was good but had to request a glass that was clear and clean. Food needs help. The eggplant appetizer was very good. But a filet mignon should never ever ever be chopped up and served in unrecognizable bits with equally unrecognizable chunks of potato, mushrooms, and broccoli all in a uniform brown. The cheesy gunk on top was cold and unappetizing. The Uber salty bouillon/Worcester sauce was terrible. And the bronzino, while tasty, was on a greasy bed of sautéed carrots. Flavor was good but greasy fish is a surprise.
Funny enough as soon as dinner was put down we realized we had ordered the identical meals the last time we were here. Not many items on the menu and the one vegetarianish entree was spoiled with veal broth.
So. Didn’t like the entrees then or now. If they can fix the food issues the place would be good. Some good points but I think I’d stick to the small plates. Except the soggy flatbreads.
Keep at it— the location is good and drinks are great. Service and people are also good!
Had been here for lunch a few months ago and disappointed. However recent dinner was delicious. The charred octopus and branzino were outstanding. That said the noise level on a week night was unbearable and the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired
Great food-loved the pretzel rolls, the smoked carrots, the chicken and the burger. Also had a homemade snickers bar for dessert that was fantastic!
It took forever for someone to take our order.
The service was good and our waitress was very nice, unfortunately most of our food was not. The brussel sprouts were the highlight, very yummy. For our entrees we ordered the roasted chicken which was very dry and the short ribs which were too fatty to eat. Additionally, we noted when making the reservation through OpenTable that we were celebrating a birthday, and no one inquired when we arrived or during the course of our meal.
Went once for dinner - love the menu and choices!! Went second time for Sunday meal - very abbreviated and not very healthy options. Vibe was very bar hang out to drink as opposed to gathering for Sunday meal or with fun friends. Not festive or inviting...
If bruch stays same, I won’t get back for anything but dinner. If this was my first visit, I wouldn’t return. I’d like to see more thoughtful, diverse, and balanced (healthy and indulgent) options on “brunch” menu. Maybe some cooler vibe for all...live music, more inviting outside seating, Nage tv’s and heaters outside? Lots of options...but defining needs a lift
Great new place. We needed a place just like this in our neighbor. Highly recommended.
Amazing service, bartender lastnight was amazing ! Liz and Taylor were awesome as well thank you guys for a great time as always. This has now been my second time in and I’ll be back for a third and forth I’m sure :-)
A great spot in the heart of historic Ardmore. A great job is done in the realm of creative cuisine without being too contrived. The waiter was extremely well informed and detailed selections at length. He talked us into the Ripp Fries, which I would have avoided... I'm glad he did.
An overall solid experience.
Amazing food, service was personal and took time to connect with patrons, cocktails were unique and tasty. Highly recommend this place!
Great food, drinks and more. Awesome place. Truly enjoyed our evening.
Service was very friendly and attentive. The chef is first class, ALL the food
was delicious. I had the "Crab Louie" and my friend had the Signature Burger,
both dishes were outstanding. We also had some of the many types of Whiskey to try.
Very convenient, went to a show next door at The Ardmore Music Hall. Will Be Back - For Sure.
Ripplewood is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant on the Main Line. The menu is original and the food is delicious. The service at yesterdays lunch was outstanding, with special attention given to the birthday girl, who was my guest. Everyone was friendly, knowledgable and genuinely happy. When you go, do not miss the Brussel sprouts...oh my goodness! I know that sounds crazy, but they are out of this world. The food at Ripplewood is all made in house, and you can tell! Don't miss this very special restaurant and bar.
Simply excellent. Service, food (amazing), drink menu and good seating options, including a secluded patio
My favorite part about this place is the service. Professional yet relaxed. A great place to meet, enjoy a great meal and good drinks. I have been here about 3 times now and cant wait to get back for many more.
Great food. Good Craft Beer. Great place to get together with friends in a casual atmosphere with good food and drink.
