Ripplewood Whiskey and Craft
This is our new favorite restaurant! We just moved to the are and this will be our regular spot. Loved the cocktails, wings, meatballs, steak and dessert!
Drinks were good. Food just ok. Descriptions of food did not match what was placed on the table. Food did not have a hand- crafted feel.
Wonderful food, great local restaurant great staff welcoming environment
Service was great, and the food was very good.
Excellent server, good food, comfortable neighborhood pub
Excellent food. Good pacing. Fun atmosphere. Good ambience.
From the moment I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by the host, everything, I mean, everything about this restaurant was stellar!!
Nicely curated cocktail, spirit, wine and craft beer lists - definitely something for everyone!
There aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe this creative, innovative and delicious menu!!! And here goes...
Smoked carrots and beet salad with goat cheese and baby kale was fantastic!
The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection!
And the star of the evening (a special), lamb 3 ways - rib confit; tenderloin; belly - with a brunoise of (I think pickled) cantaloupe topped with huckleberry and lamb jus and fresh green figs - served on a nifty round wooden platter.
No room for dessert, next time yes! Again, creative tight dessert menu.
Our server Adrienne was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, pleasant and laughed at a few of my corny references...
I couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable dining experience in Ardmore. I understand they are opening #2 in Wayne soon... I cannot wait!!!!!
Ripplewood Whiskey and Craft is the spot to check out on the Main Line! An amazing ambiance and the staff is always ready to help. I really appreciate the manager Mike, who I called ahead of time with special request. Not only was everyone so friendly and helpful it really made this special occasion for my mom memorable. Thank you again and would recommend to all of my clients!!
The food was awesome but our waitress was not friendly or attentive
Delicious food and drink and great music too! Spectacular service and ambiance.
Highest quality for moderate prices, and a wonderful bar robot!
We had another great experience at Ripplewood -- in part because our waitress Erika was so knowledgeable. She made recommendations for how to stage the meal in order to highlight each dish. Mussels first (to die for good) and then brussel sprouts (we always order these because they are decadently good) and the ripp fries with shredded pork and fondue. We could probably have done without the donuts but those were delicious too.
We also had cocktails. I like nothing sweet and Erika made sure my drinks were tart and spice forward. My husband loved his more traditional bourbon Manhattan.
We will be coming back soon1
Somewhat congested tight eatery but worth going to for the well prepared food, attentive service and great drinks! Overall vibe was hip and fun....!
Food was fantastic, cocktails even better. Our server was attentive. Would definitely go back.
Food is great but overpriced. Waitress that I've had on 3 occasions is not blatantly rude, but tends to make people feel a little rushed and is not particularly warm and friendly. Can get noisy.
The waiter was very inattentive and seemingly tried to avoid our table. One of my friends made a small complaint and he did not come back u til out entree were ready. Not to offer more drinks nor even water. The food was great but we just happened to get the bad link
Love this place for casual dining and great drinks. I hope it survives amidst the heavy competition in Ardmore.
Service was so bad and table was so uncomfortable we didn't actually stay to eat. Was clear they were unprepared for us despite a reservation.
I would recommend this restaurant for happy hour or light fare.
The food presentation and taste was outstanding. I loved the Bronzino, which I always do but this was definitely the best I have had. We shared a cucumber salad that I probably wouldn't have even noticed but my niece wanted it and it was so good, I would order it again. The drinks also were delicious. There was a cucumber strawberry contain that was fresh and light-delicious. The prices were what I would consider moderate, worth every penny.
salads were a little too heavy on the mayo/cheese dressing. Branzino was terrific!
Food is much better. Server was wonderful.
This was our first trip to Ripplewood, and we were very happy with the experience. We started with the Ripp fries and brussel sprouts. The fries are a must have, the best twist on poutine so far. The drinks were good and the bartender took my request for a spicy old fashioned and came up with something great. For the entrees we had the half chicken and filet. Both were cooked perfect and had great flavor. I believe my filet won best dish of the night, but I enjoyed the chicken as well. Overall it is worth a trip.
Food was amazing! Service was even better! Cocktails were on point!
Our meal was amazing and the service was friendly and comfortable! Will definitely go back!!
This is a good hipster joint in Ardmore, which is unique in Ardmore. The whiskey part of the experience is unmatched on the Main Line, with great food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Come hungry and thirsty to this place!
Excellent food, service and experience. They were able to accommodate our request for outdoor seating on a beautiful Friday night. Great way to kick off a summer weekend. Highly recommend this main line gem!
Food was great and atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed for date night. Fun drink selection, including delicious cocktails and mocktails and wide variety of whiskey and bourbon. We did shareable plates and starters and enjoyed all the different tastes throughout the night. Wonderful experience!
Unique menu that had one of my favorite foods -roasted tongue in tongue and cheek tacos. I enjoyed this very much along with the grilled shrimp ,though would trade off the modest sized 6 shrimp for 4 larger ones. My 2 friends raved about the lettuce wedges which was surprisingly topped with delicious fresh salad veggies.
The burger ordered by both was too unusual for them and both prefer the standard style of one thicker burger rather than 2 thin ones. Also both chose to eliminate the bologna and cheese. One of my friends was not happy with the meat flavor and tho asked the waiter in advance of ordering what cut of meat is used for the burger , just said it's good meat and did not offer to ask the chef. I only order a burger if it is sirloin or black angus.
I plan to return for some other of the interesting choices on the menu
Great place. Food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!
Great atmosphere and I thought the food was lovely. The wait staff was limited so the timing for food and drinks was too long, but nice and accommodating.
Food was very good but very small chicken sandwich and it took my parents like twenty minutes to get their shrimp tacos. Calamari was amazing. Would return for food. Cute space.
My wife and I went to Ripplewood a month or so ago. Good food great interesting drink menu. Our server was pleasant and helpful. the food was slightly slow coming out but was well prepared and well presented. We will go back. To me the only negative is that it was pretty noisy.
Ardmore restaurant week it was a busy night at Ripplewood, although we had a reservation we were seated in the bar area making it difficult to talk across the table. Food is always delicious, had the filet that did not disappoint and the fries are a must have. Just be clear on where you would like to sit when making a reservation.
GREAT food - we had brussel sprouts, mushroom flat bread, branzino and scallops. Dessert was OK. Fairly small place so gets a little crowded
Slow service on a weeknight.
This was my second time going to Ripplewood. The first time was better. This time I sat upstairs and I don't like the ambiance as much as downstairs, weird smell like living quarters, don't love chaise lounge. Food was great, possibly a little salty. I would definitely go again!!
A great restaurant...service was excellent and the food was very good and fresh. Happy hour is very nice as well.
Food was excellent!
