Rio de Brazil
Great food, great service!
The service was absolutely amazing! Food was melt in your mouth delicious. I know I said it already, but the staff was so kind and attentive throughout dinner. And fellas, for the time being date night should be Wednesdays. It's the perfect romantic setting with the dimmed lights and beautiful artwork on the walls.
In addition I am very germ concious during these trying times. They have hand sanitizer and disposable gloves at the salad station! Love that they are caring about their guests to that degree
This was our first time visiting the restaurant when we arrived at 6 o’clock it’s not overly crowded food is plentiful as much as you wanted to eat very good flavors service is good enjoyed the experience. Cost is a little on the expensive side would not make it a regular stop on our dining routine with nice for special occasions.
Great place to go on a special occasion. We enjoyed the experience.
The meat is for the most part great the buffet is average at best. Some improvement could certainly be made in cleanliness procedures in light of the COVID virus. Overall disappointed in the experience considering the cost.
very poor overall as a churrascaria.
Filet was supposed to be medium rare and was always well done.
servers were very slow to bring out the choices. Salad bar was mediocre
Price was equal to what a top, first class churrascaria restaurant would charge..
Would never eat there again
This place would be identical to Texas de Brazil with the exception they do not have lamb chops and a few other items but the problem is this. While we were there we had told the waitress we wanted everything rare except the chicken. Well they kept bringing out all the meats more than medium close to medium well. A lot of the meats were dry and then after the fifth piece Of meat was brought out to us we told the waitress we want everything rare. So then everything came out what you would call blue rare. Some meats are OK like that like filet mignon but there are some others that you would need them rare at least. But not blue rare and cold. Was it worth the 3995 per person? No.
We went there for the first time last night because we had heard really great things mostly good reviews. We were extremely disappointed. I did enjoy the salad bar, even though there was not a lot to choose from, and I'm glad I did because had it not been for the salad bar, we'd have left hungry. The menu was difficult to understand and the waitress spoke very broken english so her explanation was even harder to understand. My husband wanted a beer, which made up one entire section of the menu but she then told us that they don't have beer.....at all????? They have about 5 sides to choose from and one of those was empty. The meats, with the exception of the tiny piece of filet that we got, were tough as shoe leather. For the price, the types of meats served were really cheap types of meats....chicken leg, some sort of sausage link, small piece of chicken breast, some sort of red meat that was mostly gristle, and that one tiny piece of filet. A lot of the meats were seasoned with something that was extremely salty and had to be scraped off to be even remotely palatable. We didn't ask for seconds of anything but reading other reviews, apparently that is a big no no. Then they brought around a dessert tray and we chose one dessert to split, thinking it was party of the exorbitant buffet price, but NO, that was an additional $7! So for two people the bill was $106. I hate to leave bad reviews for any business, especially in the current climate and when we have been trying to support local restaurants. But the price is far too high at this place to not expect to leave completely satisfied with your meal. Probably the most disturbing was the fact that our waitress told us we had to wear gloves, which they provided. We had to put them on before we picked up our plate...mind you that everything is buffet style so every utensil used to get the foods on the bar is touched by everyone. We used the gloves, but then noticed NO one else was! Definitely won't be back.
Staff very friendly and attentive. Very clean restaurant. Staff made sure food on the bar stayed fresh. Food was excellent. We will be returning.
Delicious food, excellent service, need to add Brazilian Beer and Coffee to the menu.
Food was great, service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be going back!!!!!
Food was great and plentiful! Wish dessert was included in the price.
Great food friendly staff, would recommended to others
Food was excellent. You need to make sure you go hungry to get your moneys worth! Excellent service!
This was my first time at a Brazilian steak house...and I wasnt prepared for the amount of food we would be served. It was fresh and delicious! Great value for the amount and quality of food served. Our servers were amazing.l, and gracious. Great experience, we will be back.
Food was delicious and staff Area was clean and neat and atmosphere was nice Would definitely eat there again!!
Great food and service was great the sirloin and house steak was amazing
Our first time. Chose Rio de Brazil for a special birthday celebration and had a great time!
We had a wonderful experience! Incredible food and great service. Will definitely return!
Absolutely amazing food. Wonderful service. Definitely recommend.
Our experience here was fantastic. We have eaten at several different Brazilian steakhouse restaurants (Myrtle Beach, Raleigh, & Alexandria) and (IMO) Rio rivals the best. Highly recommended for a great time.
AMAZING value, even without my discount. Salad bar is super fresh, the meat incredible, good selection of wine, servers friendly and very accommodating.
Great food and service!
Definitely going back
Went for Valentine’s. The food was good for the most part although the meats were a little l too well done, for the most part. One filet was unedible because of being nearly burned and tasting like a salt lick. The rest were better. Maybe two pieces of meat would have been done perfectly, to my liking.
The ambiance was non-existent. A mix of a diner and a grill but nothing close to what my wife and I expected. When you pay nearly $50 a plate the atmosphere should be NICE. This place needs some decor and design help.
The wait staff weren’t too observant when it came to drink refills or other things that would be needed at such a restaurant, such as a plate for the gauchos to put the sliced meat on, but they were friendly.
We decided to go elsewhere for dessert, not wanting to end the date on a mediocre note.
Great food...but the servers had a hard time keeping up. Had to hunt down my ticket.
The food was delicious, especially the cinnamon sugar cooked pineapple. The hot sweet juicy goodness was amazing! The meat was exceptional and we'll definitely be going back in the future. Also, the staff, while being overworked, handled the Valentine's Day smoothly.
Not their fault, but I guess they have not been used to being that busy because at times we would sit there for 30 minutes waiting to get a servers attention or one of the guys bringing the meat over. We also would notice we were being skipped and seeing others around us get served meat while we just watched. Overall I have been to better brazilian steakhouses with more efficient, better service.
Great food but a little expensive! Me and my husband at there and it was $130 and we didn’t have any special drinks just coke .
Pricey but did enjoyed it. Food was great. Friendly staff.
Overall ok. The price is a bit steep for the value. I felt certain items on the bar should have been hot (such as side vegetables...asparagus/green beans), but they were cold. The hot items (rice and potatoes) were either crunchy from sitting too long or a little runny. The restaurant was very lovely - nicely decorated and clean. Service was a tad slow, but friendly.
Good food. Excellent service. Thanks!
Very great . No wait time to be seated and the service and food was Fantastic. Really Great place if you are looking for a allmeat Dinner
Rio de Brazil was a date night dinner for my husband and I. Overall it was a good experience with some high points and low points:
Restaurant was nicely remodeled, clean, and a good amount of lighting.
The staff was VERY kind and friendly.
The Picanha, flank steak, sirloin, Parmesan pork, grilled pineapple were delicious, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. You had some temperature options, but the beef was on the rarer side as I prefer!
Not the best:
The salad bar/sides were hit or miss. The rice and beans were good, but the mashed potatoes were almost soup consistency and could not have been scooped onto a plate. The premise salads were ok, but nothing special. The roasted cold veggies, Parmigiana, baguette, and antipasto-type offerings were good. The sausage and chicken we were served was a bit dry as well.
So, overall, if I stuck to what was good, it was a delicious dinner. But at $40+ Per person for dinner with no drinks in this region, I would expect everything to be executed well. So, the value wasn’t quite there for me, but it was a good day experience overall and a lovely family- friendly and family-owned restaurant that I hope does well.
Different dining experience. You choose what you would like and there is a very good variety. Salad bar/food bar had plenty to choose from including shrimp and cheeses along with a few sides. It is all about the meats. Great as a special occasion place.
Great food! The salad bar is excellent. Service was good as well
The food was good but all meats are medium to rare. I enjoyed it but my wife did not cause of the cooking level of meats.
A great experience, and very friendly service!
This was our second visit to Rio de Brazil. The food was wonderful and the servers were all friendly and fun. This is a place you can go casual to formal and still feel comfortable. We will definitely be back.
Great place to eat I don’t recommend going there at opening time through the week it took awhile to get the meats coming out but they were great.
Great food great atmosphere. Planning for a group of us to go
