What a transfiguration. The restaurant, physically, is more inviting. Nice bar scene too. A great job refurbishing.
The food was superb. I had scallops with a corn risotto, my wife had porcini crusted halibut with mushroom risotto. DELICIOUS.
The biggest change was the service. Prompt, efficient, friendly.
Keep it up and you will be in business a long time.

We sat upstairs like we usually do and my Chicken Parm was really good however, my wife's Pork tenderloin was overcooked. They took it off the bill which was really nice. The new downstairs concept looked really cool and I get that the new owners are trying to appeal to a more 'cost conscious' crowd and we appreciate that upstairs is still basically the 'old bridgemans'. Yet, the subtractions to the menu are a real bummer, no more Eggplant stack or Veal.

I booked this restaurant as what appeared to be the best restaurant in Hull for our night-away. My wife is a fantastic cook, so we generally only eat out at restaurants of particularly high regard. Receiving great reviews, I booked a table at Rinato. The service was incredibly friendly and accommodating when we changed our minds about table seating. The manager/owner was very friendly and helpful, as was the hostess and our server. We ordered the stuff mushrooms which were delicious! My wife enjoyed her gin martini. Unfortunately, my Manhattan was mediocre at best, tasting watery and without much flavor. They kindly gave me a glass of wine instead. Our main dishes, pork tenerdloin and the chicken Parmesan both had some good flavors and were large portions, but overall fell flat in their taste. The chicken had an odd malt flavor, and the pork was not very tender.
It may be unfair to give this restaurant a poor review, as we have especially high expectations on our rare date nights out. But overall, for the price of the food and creativity of the menu, I had hope for a much better execution of the dishes. We were underwhelmed by our experience, but perhaps others would really enjoy this restaurant that seems to have a lot of potential.

Reincarnation of Bridgemans. Menu now includes "small plates" options with an emphasis on Italian cuisine. Downstairs dining room now divided between a bar area with high top tables and a more intimate space with smaller tables, many of which are equipped with individual glass faced fireplaces built into the wall ( not heated). Attentive and friendly staff. Reasonable prices

Very noisy...had difficulty communicating with dining partners. Very good waitress.
