We visited the restaurant while staying at the resort. The food was excellent! Large portions, very flavorful. We were a party of 5 and sat in a totally different restaurant (not sure if this was covid related, it would have been nice if they explained this to us). Otherwise, our waitress was kind, food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. We would visit again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, I am very glad you overall enjoyed it, That is our second dining room, our main dining room fills up very quickly and we use 2 other dining rooms in addition to main to accommodate the large volume of customers we get. I apologize this wasn't conveyed to you beforehand. With that in mind I certainty hope to have the opportunity to serve you in the future. Best Regards, Lilit K.

We had dinner here for NYE and took advantage of the $78. NYE menu and it was horrible. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was just 4 tempura shrimp on a plate with no sauce on it and 1 walnut. The Korean short ribs although good flavor were hardly an entrée! Very little meat and small serving. I’ve eaten twice here now and the quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Quality for the price is unbalanced.

PF Changs would be a better option. This restaurant is categorized as fine dining at GSR. Not fine dining and not on par with Charlie Palmer. The food was like airport Panda Express. The spring rolls were bland and the generals chicken was sweet, not spicy. But not good either way. The server was great but management was full of excuses about an overbooked, understaffed restaurant. The reservation does not include all you can eat sushi. It was a separate section, first come, first serve.

The food was mediocre at best. It took 30 minutes for a sushi roll from ordering to table. The featured wine was out of stock. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery. The servers were very good. One dish we ordered gluten free and confirmed by the wait staff turned out not to be after the order had been placed in the kitchen, but caught before being served. One busboy who was cleaning a table next to ours was muttering about having to do all the work himself. Maybe he was just having a bad day.

The restaurant was very busy. Many other dining options were closed due to staffing. Our waiter was excellent and very prompt and courteous. Unfortunatly the food was less than average. My husbands Ahi salad did not have anything in it except lettuce and 3 very small pieces of ahi. No snow peas, no radish nor any bean sprouts. Just a sad little plate of wilted lettuce and some Ahi.
My Wok tossed chicken salad wasn't much better...tough over cooked chicken and no mandrian oranges.
The Pork Belly Adobo was pretty bland.
Overall, if you have never had ethnic food and this is your first time eating Asian...you might love it. We were far from impressed. Skip it.

Food was just ok. My husband ordered the mango scallops. What a shock when the plate came with only 6 small scallops each the size of a quarter with a dollop of mango salsa. White rice was served in a bowl. My Singapore vermicelli was way too salty along with the chicken fried rice our friend ordered. For the price of food and drinks it wasnt worth it. With so many other top totch restaurants in Reno i see no reason to go back there or suggest the place to others.

The food was excellent. We ordered the Holiday special for two. It had a salad, an appetizer, and two entrees with rice. We were two couples. They brought most of the food all at once. We had to point out some was missing and had to ask three times for the rice. I told our server I was expecting it in courses and was told it was family style and was meant to be brought at the same time. After we ate the salad and appetizer the main courses were cold and we still had to wait for the rice. But everything tasted great. I've eaten basque and other family style meals but this is the first time it was all delivered at the same time.

Would not recommend this place. Overpriced, mediocre food. Watered down $16 “specialty” drink. Salmon dinner horribly bland and arrived 20 minutes after our other two (underwhelming) entrees were served. Spoke to the manager and she said we “did not understand that the salmon takes longer than the other meals.” Huh? Besides the fact that salmon takes minutes to cook, shouldn’t meals be cooked in a timely manner to be served at the same time? Manager did not accept any responsibility for the slack but instead, gave ridiculous reasons for their problems and insisted that we “didn’t understand.” All we understood is that we paid too much money for a very, very disappointing Christmas Eve dinner. (Manager did not charge us for the salmon - small consolation). Never came here before and will never go back.

It was my buddy’s birthday. We were going to catch the Daniel Tosh show after dinner. Charlie Palmer was booked so I made reservations at RIM. We were seated in an overflow area outside of the restaurant, which made us feel like second class citizens. We ordered both Chinese and Sushi. The Chinese came out 20 minutes sooner than the sushi which wasn’t the best however the food was good. I had marked on the OpenTable reservation that it was a birthday celebration but there was no mention of it by our server. No offer of dessert. No mention of the show. The waiter could have cared less if we were there or not. He checked in with us once for drinks, which we needed but we were only able to have two rounds as he never came back until he handed us the check essentially 5 minutes after the sushi came.

In summary, great food, horrid service, a bit pricey for Chinese, sat in an overflow section and absolutely nothing special for a special occasion. The hostess was super cute but had the personality of a rock as well. Overall, much better places in town to go for a special occasion.

The food was good, but this was some of the worst service I have ever seen. When you go out for Chinese food the standard is ordering dishes to share. The table were seated at barely had enough room for the plates and glasses that were already on the table. My guest ordered the Hot & Sour Soup and I ordered the Wonton Soup. His soup came out right away and we kept asking where my soup was. They kept saying something about my soup coming from the kitchen. I sure hope his soup didn't come from the bathroom! When they finally brough my soup about 15 minutes later, along with all the other food we ordered it was cold. We proceeded to try and pile all the other dishes we ordered onto our tiny table. We stacked as many plates as we could and began our meal. When I finished what I wanted from the cold wonton soup, there was no where to put the bowl, so I was unable to begin eating any of the food! It took about 10 minutes and about a half dozen tries to finally stop someone to remove my bowl, by then all the other food was cold also! I must say that when I brought the left overs home and re-heated them, the food did turn out to be tasty, but I will never make a reservation to eat in this restaurant again.

We had a 6 PM reservation and arrived at 5:55. We were told that no tables were available at that time. I checked in again at 6:15 and again was told that no tables were available but I could sit at the sushi bar but would have to order sushi!!?? They made the decision to seat "walk ins" and not have reserved tables available. I asked to speak with the manager and was met with hostility.
The manager was help and "allowed" us to sit at the sushi bar and order hot food. We then waited 25 minutes after ordering and NO food arrived. Later our appetizers and main courses came at the same time and delivered by a server (not the waitress) who decided to argue with me about the service.

Anniversary 19. Dined at Rim for 15 years. This visit all food bland, had no flavor. Manager kept asking me what flavor profile was I looking for. Well, beef black bean sauce, Singapore noodles, spicy egg plant, salt n pepper shrimp should taste like they are supposed to. I was getting very irritated with her. Then she asked if I wanted to talk to the Chef one on one. No I don’t want to talk to 2 managers fir an hour on my anniversary dinner which was terrible. I just want to leave. We left the food at the table and left. she charged me $46.00. I did not care. Server was very enjoyable. This will be our last visit with Rim. Portions getting small, prices high, quality major slipping. $12 for frozen pot stickers joke. New restaurants to enjoy.
