Riganato Old World Grille
Our ingredients are all fresh, locally sourced, and organic when available. They are traditionally prepared, producing classic old world flavors. It's old country tradition with modern culinary twist!
All was good except for the sea bass my husband ordered was cold. Other than that the taste was great
The food is amazing. We started off with a pizza as our appetizer. I had one of the specials and my husband had the lasagna and stuffed meatballs.
Taylor was our server and as always very kind.
First time...will go back...traditional Italian...not fancy but good food ,good portions, good service.
Really enjoyed my first experience at Riganato. Great for family dining and portions are plentiful. Will be returning.
If you like soggy fried calamari and lasagna that’s 75% melted parmigiana, then this is the place for you! The locals seem to like it, but if you like authentic Italian food I would not recommend.
Jimmy; Nick and crew have done it again! This little gem has food better than many of the big restaurants. If your in the mood for a sandwich; pizza; spaghetti or fish this place has it and more done in with a great Mediterranean Spin! The dining room is small and cozy and there is also carry out! I recommend you make a reservation and give it a TRY!
Service was good, food was great very authentic Italian dishes. A little loud for my liking but I would definitely be back.
Excellent menu. A good variety of Italian offerings and everything is outstanding. Portion sizes are fairly large as well, I always bring about 1/2 home with me. Service staff are all very friendly. The only downside is during busier times the noise level can make it hard to even hear others at your table.
Made rev on line and confirmed still they did not have our name
Pasta was over cooked and mushy, meat ball had way to much cheese in it
pasta sauce was forgettable, bland
only good part of the meal was the calamari
Second time dining at the restaurant. My expectations were high this time. I started with an arugula salad. Very good. Wife ordered the cream of potato soup. Very good. Appetizer was the pita with hummus, tiziki sauce, whipped feta cheese combo. Did not disappoint. For the entrees, wife ordered the
First time there and we were very pleased with everything
We took a family member here to catch up and enjoy a nice meal and chose this restaurant based on the reviews. The restaurant was very crowded and loud. The service was not that great, I had to get up from the table to get our servers attention twice during our meal. The chicken was overcooked and the fish special had several bones in it. The meatballs were very good. Maybe it was just an off night but we most likely will not return.
The restaurant experience was pretty good but the noise level was just too much for me. I understand a packed house is expected to have a higher noise level, but I sat at my table wondering about how adding some accoustic sound dampening might improve the dining experience for everyone. Honestly, it is a nice place but the noise level was just way out of my comfort zone.
Just so you know, and to represent the other side of the story, my sweetheart loves this place and raves about it every time she goes. But, she also thinks it is too noisy.
My customer from the hotel I work at, that was from out if town recommended this restaurant. He said he would just come back to eat here they loved it. The only thing that was negative, it was very loud in back room. Food was outstanding. E plan and going back.
Family friendly for both customers and the family that owns this business. Meals available for every appetite and budget!
Great restaurant from the food to the service. Awesome gluten free menu. Fine, plentiful entrees reasonably priced.
At our table, we enjoyed lemon and rice soup, great salads, pasta dish specials with ricotta cheese roll and meatball and pasta with veggies and Italian sausage. Very original and oh so good. Cute, boutique feel decorating inside. It appesred family owned.
Thanks to our server too who was prompt and had fine suggestions from drinks to foods. Also, they kindly served the birthday cake we brought into the restaurant. The three combined families at our table were very pleased and plan to return.
Food was amazing and the owner was very accommodating to our nut allergy.
Food was delicious. Cozy atmosphere because it is in a house. Hood service and a wide variety of entrees and prices.
Small cozy Italian restaurant with excellent dishes for dining in or take out. Chicken Riganato is our favorite with smashed garlic baby red potatoes.
We drove a distance to eat there. It was good, but theres better, closer to home.
Riganato's has the best Pizza in the Chicago area!
Great food and great service!!!!, love love love this place
Service is TREMENDOUS!!! All service staff looks after your table not just the person assigned. Food FANTASTIC!!!!
Small dining establishment with excellent chicken and a very extensive menu to choose from. A bottle of wine is very reasonable and they have some very interesting specialty drinks. We will return to try some of their fresh fish dishes.
Adorable place with great food, and set in a cute home that has been re-purposed into a restaurant.
Had the lasagna, and the meatballs. O MY! YUM!
Excellent as always, great food and great service!
I had to let my glass of red wine cool to room temperature before I could drink it but the food was good.
The food and service were outstanding. We'll definitely go back!
My favorite place to dine in the fox valley area. :)
The best chefs. The friendliest owners. :)
Was good, little loud and did get very warm during dinner but was an extremely hot day out.
Chicken Breast Riganato was seasoned to perfection. Reasonable priced bottles of Wine.....we enjoyed a LaTerre Chardonnay. We are looking forward to future visits.
Very friendly and accommodating. Nice variety of dishes. We enjoyed the trout special and the salmon. Many 2-3 bite dessert choices. Will return.
Our waitress was exceptional - we never lacked for a thing. The food was quite good and everyone enjoyed the meal very much!
Took our 88 yr old mom out on what would have been her 66th wedding anniversary . Hoping to have a quieter atmosphere but It was a Friday night so it was noisy, however we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The calamari and chicken wings were an excellent choice for appetizers. Really enjoyed that wings were not breaded and fried. They were Greek style - garlic, lemon and herbs. Delicious ! Calamari, tasty and tender. Bread tasted good with sauces from appetizers. The fish specials were excellent. Trout and Sea Bass . I ordered the Rib Eye Shish Kabob.. very good flavor, my only criticism was I ordered medium rare and it was over cooked to medium and was a bit tough. The desserts looked sooo good, but we were full. Next time, as there will be a next time and then some.
Nice experience overall.
Four of us had dinner. The lasagne was particularly good as was the branzino. Service was prompt and attentive without being annoying. Food arrived quickly and everything was as ordered. We would nit hesitate to return
The trout special and the shrimp were cooked perfectly; done, but still moist and flavorful. Fried zucchini appetizer with hummus and sweet potato fries were also very good. House Chardonnay was well balanced and interesting. Wish they would carry draught beer, too. Service was attentive and helpful with good recommendations and information about the items on the menu. We plan to return soon.
We LOVE going here. They have awesome gluten free options.
Excellent Italian food! Good service too! Nice wine selection and delicious bread!
Incredible service and food. One of my favorite restaurants in Geneva as always.
This place is a gem and the absolute best restaurant in the western suburbs. We have gone there numerous times and have never been disappointed.
