Delicious brunch and cute atmosphere! Can’t wait to come back for dinner
Enjoyable early dinner at the Inn. Foie gras appetizer a bit under done. Calamari app very good. Salmon en croute a beautiful plating, but salmon a bit stodgy. Rack of lamb very good. Will go back again.
We biked 10 miles down the tow path specifically to have brunch here. The experience was fanatic. Three salads and one traditional breakfast were delicious. Peach and burratto salad was excellent. Tasty, fresh and scrumptious. Topped with scallops, the dish was hard to beat. Speaking of beets, two folks had the beet salad with salmon and chicken. Also lovely.
The famous Bloody Mary was good, with a nice selection of veggies added and a lovely piece of shrimp. I found that the taste sat on the back of the tongue which leaves room for more complexity. Mimosas were delicious.
Lastly, we sat outside along the same tow path that we bikes on. The view was wonderful. Also, service was fast and friendly.
There's no better setting for a nice dinner with friends than the upper porch at Rieglesville Inn. Overlooking the Delaware, simple but very tasty options from the Pub Fare menu, and a breezy Summer evening made it another enjoyable night at the RI.
Awesome experience! Sat outside. Live music at the bar was great on Friday. We danced the night away. So much fun with a friendly local crowd.
Beautiful seating outside by the canal - perfect ambiance! Food was excellent - scallops, steak, and pork chop dinners ordered at our table and everyone agreed their meals were excellent.
This was probably the worst brunch of my life. The building is absolutely beautiful, but it’s beauty couldn’t make up for the insanely slow service, and terrible food. I got the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was runny and thin, the eggs were hard boiled, and the plate looked like a horror show. To make matters worse they took an hour to get the food to us. Apparently there was a miscommunication and our food was late to start. So basically I waited an hour for the worst eggs Benedict in my life.
Love the food, sometimes the salt can be a little overused.
We were driving through the area on a wine tasting tour and booked a reservation for lunch. Finding good seafood for lunch can be difficult. Being the 1st day of Musikfest as well, we wanted to be on our way quickly but have a relaxing meal. The staff were very friendly and the food great.
Driven by here many times, always busy, finally got a chance to come for a celebration meal. Beautiful setting in an old historic building. Relaxing, great atmosphere, with outside seating overlooking the Delaware River bridge across to NJ. Food was very good, not excellent. Chocolate tart was more like a mousse. Didn't like the texture of the tomato tarte, needed to be more firm. Lamb chops, salmon en croute, surf and turf, cheese plate, and bread pudding were all excellent. Service was outstanding, but we were one of few tables being served this evening. Ask for Philly, he was informed, personable, funny, and provided good service. Great experience overall, will be back.
Just beware, if using the Open Table app directions, they take you to Delaware Rd in Easton, not Riegelsville. Just use google maps. Road was a bit noisy on a Sunday afternoon which I guess is to be expected. Outside porch on ground level really needs some cleanup and paint. Otherwise, food and service very nice and would definitely come back.
Enjoyed being back there, was a favorite place years ago. My husband enjoyed his dinner, (rack of lamb). I had the short rib ravioli and for my taste their was a bit too much mixed in with the dinner. I had a hard time deciding on a main course..a bit too fancy, possible for me. Will go back for lunch.
After a dissatisfying experience here on Mother’s Day, the manager invited us back. The manager and staff did everything to make our second trip correct. The food and service were both excellent. We are glad that we tried again because this was an exceptional experience and much better than the experience at the Mother’s Day buffet.
This is an excellent place to eat. It’s beautiful, priced fairly and portions are generous. My biggest problem is that they serve foie de gras, which should be boycotted. No creature should be force fed, caged and abused. It should be illegal to serve Foie de gras and I wish, if nothing else, the Riegelsville Inn would take it off their menu.
Excellent food, ambiance is lacking, building looks about to cave in.
Exceptional experience all around. The food was excellent, service was great (we were not in the least bit rushed) . It is a beautiful place and well worth the hour drive to get there! We will definitely be dining there again
Food and service excellent will be coming back soon
The view on the balcony was beautiful and peaceful and the service was excellent. The seasonal cocktail was delicious. The only problem was that the chairs were uncomfortable and my husband had back issues from sitting in them the next day.
Old hotel. Great service, tired insides, I'm sure most of the dishes are outstanding. The crabmeat with my steak was awesome. Unfortunately, my ribeye was very chewy and full of gristle. Dessert was very tasty.
So relaxed, met my expectations!
Had a wonderful ladies lunch at the Riegelsville Inn. The dining room is charming, the service was excellent and the food was very good.
Great food, great view, great experience! We will return!
Seating is inside or outside. We sat outside on front porch to watch the people and cars go by. Service from JT was excellent. The island scallops were sensational as was the unstuffed salmon. The layers of flavor and presentation outstanding. Bought bottle of wine, was very good. Truly enjoyable evening all the way around. No rush. Everyone very pleasant.
It was lovely to sit by the canal and enjoy the scenery. Friendly staff, however our appetizer (clams) took a really long time to come out. The food was amazing and well worth the wait. Overall a nice place to spend date night.
We enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day brunch. The restaurant was very busy. The kitchen got backed up. The food was worth the wait.
As the only table seated outside by the water, we were afraid we would be forgotten about. The attentive staff did not disappoint. They frequently checked on us and as the weather began to turn they made arrangements to swiftly finish up inside.
We will continue to visit for special occasions (it’s a bit of a drive for us, but definitely worthwhile).
Ambiance of dining by the Delaware River was perfect. Staff was courteous and helpful and the food was delicious.
Love this place! Great food and drinks, awesome servers, cool vibe, and live music!
We sat outside next to the creek on a lovely evening. We order drinks and appetizers . Both were great and we especially loved the cheese plate. The main course was absolutely delicious. We got the steaks and the salmon entree. We order the desert trio and that was enough for us all.
Went on a Sunday was very nice reasonable great bartender
Soup and entree were excellent but server (Philly) messed up two items on our order. Desserts were not that good - bread pudding ok, carrot cake very dry, pumpkin cheesecake did not have the cinnamon whipped cream as stated in the menu. Great location right on canal.
Always a pleasure coming here. Great Food, scenic views, historic and outdoor seating.
Good interesting food, still in autumn mode though.
Mother’s Day dinner buffet. It was awful. We were stashed in an upstairs room and had to walk up and down very narrow and steep staircase to get food. Service was really inattentive. Took over 20 minutes to get a drink order in and get a drink. Bar drinks took another 10 minutes after that. By that time my Bloody Mary was watered down from the ice. It was terrible. Food selection was awful and really went on the cheap. Very low quality and it was also prepared very poor. Dessert was also terrible. It’s clear nothing was made on premise from scratch including dessert. To top it off they brought me someone else bill and cashed me out on it. I had to wait 30 minutes while my family waited in the car until they fixed it. Moral of the story is if you can’t do a Mother’s Day brunch really well don’t do one at all. It was laughable how bad this experience was. As you can see my profile, we are foodies and very rarely post negativity but this was that bad. I also felt sick for two days after the meal.
OK.. It was Mothers' Day.... but it would have been good if either Open Table or the restaurant contacted me to say they were not serving from their normal, full menu... only a fixed price brunch. Past that, it was very crowded (making queue for omelets way to long) and regular queue longer than reasonable; food was just warm; quality was average, at best (i.e. English muffins on which eggs benedict were served were like leather... and with no sharp knife offered, were impossible to cut without risking it flying across the room); service was pleasant, but not particularly attentive (another symptom of buffet). Another challenge they were dealing with (so us too) was the obvious loss of outside seating due to rain... so, despite a advance reservation for inside seating, we were jammed into a tiny table in the path of service in a second floor room with NO character. And all this brought with it a fixed price of $30pp with a 20% mandatory gratuity - a poor value. Generally disappointed. The only thing my wife really enjoyed was the French Gimlet from the bar.
I hope they do a better job when serving from the full menu on less busy days...
Lesson learned (again)... don't dine out on Mothers' Day or Valentines' Day...
Charming. Great service on Mother’s day. It was rainy and cold but they managed to seat all outside reservations to indoors. We had a table in a small upstairs room. Only 3 tables. Very quiet. However the other larger rooms with many people were noisier. Buffet varied and very good. Eggs Benedict were a bit dry. Overall an excellent Mother’s Day experience.
Mother's Day brunch. Too crowded, hard to navigate to the food . Good food but too expensive, I believe.. The owners definitely need to improve the logistics of feeding so many people in such a confined space.
The food was ok but the service was absolutely terrible. We went for Mother’s Day brunch. They were 25 minutes late with our reservation and we had to wait outside in the poor weather with our young child. After being seated we saw our waitress maybe twice the entire meal. Someone in our party never even received his drink. We spoke with the host and hostess team about our disappointments and they did nothing to address it. All in all, the subpar food is NOT worth this much headache and the large bill, which they included gratuity on that they certainly didn’t earn! We definitely won’t go back nor would we recommend this place to others. For the amount of money, you can choose someplace far better where you’ll be treated as a valued customer. Very disappointing experience for a special occasion.
The ambience is exactly what you would expect for a Pennsylvania in. The service was outstanding, the quality of the food was excellent and the experience was a delight. The first time that I have been there and I will definitely be coming back
We had a wonderful Saturday family brunch. They graciously accommodated our son’s special needs. Highly recommend.
