   Normally great service but we go on weekdays. Today (saturday) the service wasn't really up to scratch. We were a party of 5 and got moved from our table to a table for 4 after ordering drinks. So was a bit tight for tapas! As we were moved off to the side we seemed to then be forgotten about and had to keep flagging down the staff. Seemed to be out of key things on the menu which was a disappointment and we didn't get one of the things we ordered. Food as ever was great though and value is decent. Will still go back but recommend weekdays!

   We have had mixed experiences the last 2 times that we have attended. We thought we would try again. Firstly, we wanted to go to have a variety of tapas. We were told at ordering that they had no octopus, calamari, and chrizso. They served us dry chicken without the chrizso but charged full price. The majority of the food lacked flavour. They served us stale bread, which we sent back. Not an enjoyable meal. At least the cocktails were enjoyable. I would definitely not go back.

   Sadly after having frequented this restaurant several times before we visited with friends. Bad move! Service was poor but that was probably more lack of staff and the workload on those working. But be more proactive at least. Many items not available - chorizo (in a Spanish restaurant), croquettes, squid, octopus and even the wine option. Unfortunately, I think this restaurant may be struggling as I know others in the chain are either closed or in a bad way.

   Was disappointed with this visit. which is a shame as usually it’s a go to! had wines out of stock and loads of dishes on the tapas. (they wait for you to make your choice rather than telling you prior to ordering). Then charged us for the wine that they didn’t have even though we had the cheaper option. Our meatballs were forgotten about, had to ask and then we’re cold in the middle so sent back. came out not offering a fresh dish as my half eaten meatball was there heated up and offered back to me! and yes they were still on the bill 🙄. When paying (for the more expensive wine that we didn’t have and cold and then reheated meatballs) server didn’t give option to tip or show me the amount on the PDQ just asked me to tap. could have been paying any amount. Overall just bad service and initiative to please a customer. I’ve worked in this industry for 10 years and just poor service. We understand accidents happen but to just expect to pay for things that weren’t good was a shame. Sadly won’t be returning any time soon.

   Food very poor. If you have ever eaten Spanish food then avoid this. Most food not hot Chicken and chorizo skewers had no chorizo. Chicken so dry I think it was cooked last week. Garlic mushrooms used tinned mushrooms 😫 Tomato bread was just bruschetta Prawns horrible Pork was flavourless. All in all very disappointing and will not be returning

   Have been here before and I really enjoyed it, I don't know if it's because it was the weekend but the music was too loud and we were in a table with lights flickering above us and like a little fruit fly around our food and a couple more on the wall beside me. The chicken and chiroz skewers were just chicken skewers which is also disappointing for someone who likes chirozo. I would recommend but I would say, pick when you go.

    Every tapas came with so much cabbage. Ordered a feta salad and was full of cabbage. The Spanish omlette tasted too smoky and not quite right. The restaurant run out of pardon peppers and was only lunchtime on a Saturday. Have been to Rico Sabor numerous times, and really quite disappointed this time.

    Food, ambience and venue amazing. We felt rushed though, as soon as the tapas was done the desert menu was given, no time to relax, we didn’t want deserts and was asked twice if we wanted the bill. We felt very rushed, for my wife’s birthday it was a shame. Would I go again? Yes food is amazing.

    After hearing alot of good things about the restaurant we thought we might give it a go! The food was very average. Nothing to exciting. Most of it seemed like it had come from a freezer. It's not overly expensive but it's not somewhere we would return to any tome soon unfortunately.

    Food was fantastic as always but service was poor this time and whoever does the ordering of drinks etc needs to up their game as they didn’t have any bottled beer or tonic and we couldn’t have a coffee because the machine was broken. I love Rico Sabor but last night was a disappointment….. fingers crossed next time it’s back up to it’s usually high standard

    Really lovely setting and great friendly staff. Only things for me was a dish that wasn’t meant to be spicy was really spicy and the restaurant was freezing. Be a nicer place in the warmer months or they could turn the heating on. Good good though

    Normally a great place to go but was freezing in there. Even the staff were complaining how cold it was. Which then made the food go cold quicker. They didn’t have the wine me and friend wanted. Place was dead, so atmosphere wasn’t like it normally was. The coldness ruined the evening, everyone was sitting in their coats!

    Sunday 5th March 2023, we visited this restaurant on the back of various recommendations. Even my wife had been twice previously and raced about it. We were taking my brother and his wife out for an early 49th wedding anniversary lunch. Having sat down we then waited 20 minutes to be served. At this point there were only 3 other tables with customers. We eventually ordered and my brother and I had our beers served. We waited a further 15 minutes for a jug of Sangria. I had to go and ask for it. We were served 4 of our 8 dishes of tapas waited a further 10 minutes for a further 3. When we finished those and ordered more tapas the 8th dish had still not arrived. It came with the second order. However a further dish that we ordered was disputed but eventually serveed. They even tried to serve it again 10 minutes later. In the space of 10 minutes when we were taking a break from eating we were asked 6 times if we had finished and if everything was ok. My wife asked if they were trying to get rid of us and the response was that they were short staffed. During the late service of meals we observed the staff standing around the serving area talking and not paying attention to customers who were waiting to be served or seated. It is probably the worst service that I have ever witnessed as a paying customer in a restaurant anywhere.

    Great food and lively atmosphere. Staff were overwhelmed with the number of customers and also made assumptions rather than ask. Basically my daughter asked for a cocktail (she's 20) and they gave her a mocktail without asking her age, just assuming she was under age. We only realised after receiving the bill. Anyway, it was a lovely meal and good sized portions of tapas.

    We had a fabulous evening, we enjoyed the food but felt it was a bit noisy . We were sat near the door so a bit cold as well . But it didn’t detract from a lovely evening catching up with friends

    Unfortunately a poor experience with an extremely limited menu due to “staff and supply issues”. Very disappointing. Half of order cancelled after first (and subsequently last) lot of tapas arrived. Tapas average. A shame as this used to be good.

    Extremely disappointed with my recent visit here it did not seem up to its usual standard at all. who ever heard of a tapas restaurant running out of chorizo? That meant that half the options on the menu were not available. The menu listed paella but did not say that it was only available on Sundays which was more then disappointing. We ordered some gf bread to the table, to then be told by another member of staff that they do not offer gluten free bread. Not a problem but maybe check next time before putting through the order and bringing just regular bread to the table which could have ended up in a severe reaction if it had not been noticed. We were asked 3 times if we had finished our meal whilst it was clear that we hadn't, and then when we had finished it took atleast 45 minutes for someone to clear the plates away. Call me fussy but when your paying £50+ plus for tapas food I expect better.

    We normally go here and it’s usually nice service and food, however this time it was slow to order, the food came out fast but it tasted like it had been cooked that afternoon and reheated for the evening. As someone who worked in retail for a couple years prior I understand how tough it can be, especially on Valentine’s Day, however the staff we’re standing around chatting by the bar and it felt like they avoided looking customers ways, if the table next to us hadn’t waved the server over I honestly think we’d have not had our order taken for longer than our already long (15 min wait). It was also other little things like one of the servers walked over with our drinks and just put them down and didn’t say what they were, they could’ve been the wrong drinks for all I know and, luckily I’m allergy free but since I wasn’t asked that they would have known that. Then the same lad brought over our food but I’m assuming the pork belly wasn’t ready, However instead of telling us we had to sit there wondering where it was for 5 minutes after all our food was out, the lack of communication seemed really annoying and disappointing. Like I said it’s usually a nice place so I will try it again another time, hopefully it was a one off but I do think the experience wasn’t good whatsoever.

    Both had the Paella and it was excellent as normal. Unfortunately the service was a little bit slow but that was probably down to a shortage of waiting staff.

    So disappointed with our vist at our favourite restaurant. Last went in august and it wasn’t to great then but because there was 14 of us eating I put it down to pressure but after last night this restaurant hasn’t gone down hill we was in and out in 30 minutes. We got our food before our drinks which ended up not being our drinks and the food was very poor. They had run out of bread to go with our mussels. Meat balls was cold in the middle and one dish was wrong we was given mushrooms instead of prawns so then had to wait for the prawn dish. Will not be returning again

    Good food and lots of choice. Very noisy but ok. Service when arrived was shocking. Nearly walked out. Waiter far too busy looking at his phone to bother with us. Took nearly 15 mins to ask if we wanted a drink once finally sat at a table. This was our first experience at Rico and could have been our last. Two waitresses just about pulled the service back.

    Excellent service, food was okay but not completely Spanish. The albondigas were just minced beef meatballs in a tomato sauce which was under seasoned, the champions al ajillo were in a creamy sauce, underseasoned and not very authentic. However it was good value for money.

    Nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere but the menu choice is a little limited. Would be much better with a larger range of main courses. Previously I'd only been to Rico Sabor in Gravesend and think they have a much better menu, unless they have reduced theirs lately?
