In my humble opinion, food is an inexhaustible expression of art & alchemy. During my younger years, I stumbled upon this gift of being able to recreate recipes after eating them. I have done my best to offer that gift through the recipes you see on the menu.
Some of these recipes I learned eating at people's homes and others are my own rendition of the authentic flavors of my beautiful homeland,
India. Here you will not find any particular cooking style, but rather an approach to flavors and ingredients that seeks to nourish joy and awaken the senses.I express deep gratitude to the colony of cats, our welcome committee, I am ever grateful for the reminder of the many creatures we live with on this glorious planet.We are proud to call this lovely Isla Cale our home, with its giggly hymns of fairies, elves, plants and plants. Rico Indian is a tribute to you and your beautiful body. May this meal add more ease, joy, glory & celebration of your living.

Food not good. Have eaten Indian food frequently for years in USA and India. Nan not cooked properly - greasy and rubbery. The gulab jamun was very firm, dry, not enough syrup. I saw no Indian people in kitchen and who was in kitchen apparently had no really experience in cooking Indian food.

This was my second time this month eating at Rico Indian, an open air ( but covered) restaurant at the upper end of the Isla Cuále. The owners are constantly trying to improve the experience. This night we were greeted with a show involving lit batons and chains, mostly with kerosene. The performer was entertaining, but did delay our ability to order. The odor of kerosene was off-putting, but did dissipate after the show. Our food was excellent….lamb vindaloo and dal malkhani, as was the garlic naan that accompanied it. I have never had a bad meal here. Servers are very new and could use some training, but were sweet and pleasant. Be aware that the bar is often out of the listed spirits and wines. Dinner for 2 with drinks came to MXN $845. We will definitely return.
