   Food was good but both my wife and I ordered medium rare filets and they came out overcooked medium to medium well. Our server never asked how the food was and was generally unengaged. Not a memorable dining experience.

   No booths, just tables, but there was a nice cozy atmosphere. The food portions were generous and everything was delicious!

   Rick’s is our go to date night spot and typically have excellent service and tasty food. We’ve been coming here for more than 20 years, but tonight was off. Service was rushed and our server was forgetful Didn’t receive a drink menu or wine menu. Bar drinks were not consistent with previous visits. Recipe was definitely off and was told there’s nothing we can do since they’re made in batches. Food would have been great, but potatoes were under seasoned and I didn’t get the salt and pepper I requested when the salads came…until I had finished my entree. We’ll certainly be back, but the night was not as great as I would have hoped.

   Ate up at the bar. Bartender was very nice. We asked for the most popular dishes and ordered the top 2. They weren’t bad just not good. No flavor in the penne vodka and the sliced ribeye sandwich was just blah.

   We had a reservation for 8:15 pm for my birthday. My kids and husband wanted to treat me for dinner. We were not greeted friendly by the blonde at the front in fact she told us we had an hour to eat before the band started because kids under 21 can’t be in the establishment. We were sat pretty much in the back. The waiter seemed like he was probably told we needed to be out by 9. Just rude and a horrible experience. The website isn’t clear on age after a certain time. Food was good.

    Very nice place but both steaks ordered at the table were tuff to the point of very chewy and had a lack of flavor. The gumbo was good, and the red dish was good. The bread pudding was ok, not anything special. Our service was good, and the restaurant was very clean.

    The steak was not cooked to order. I had to ask for salt and pepper because the crawfish stuffed filet mignon and au gratin potatos were bland. The food at Applebee’s is better than what we experienced last night.

    Love Ricks. Food is always good. Our service is usually really good but last night was VERY slow. We sat for about 20-30 mins before anyone even came to our table. We decided to go to the bar and get our own drinks. The band was late setting up, but once they started it was fun!

    Price was above what the quality of the food. We had the Calamari and it was greasy with the breading coming off. I think they fried it in the improper temp for it to come out that way. My steak was undercooked and was to peppery for my liking. Service was underwhelming and it just did not feel inviting.

    The food was good, one of us had to send a medium well steak back because it was still actively bleeding. Definitely not medium well. But they fixed it quickly. The server was really nice, but for a slow night, she would disappear for very long periods of time so it was difficult to get drink refills, our checks, then waiting for her to come back. We weren't in a hurry but can't give 5 stars for that. Overall, we would go back, it was worth it.

    This was our first time here and we had a very nice time. Our server was professional, polite, and attentive without being overly familiar or intrusive. The place is quite nice and comfortable even though we were there at the peak of the lunch rush. The food was good: I enjoyed my burger but others were more pleased with their meal. The fries were obviously fresh but could have been cooked to be more crispy, in my opinion. I look forward to returning.

    No one was there as we ate in the afternoon. Slow service, no refills on iced tea. Chicken Fried Steak was very tough. We have dined here many times this year and the food seems to not be as good, recently.

    Food was good. Place was a little noisy but that’s because of the hard surfaces in the open dining. Good bartender. Waiter was ok but not outstanding. Waited on the band…..got sick of waiting…left. Band cost the restaurant money. Would have stay and had drinks for another 2 hours but they couldn’t get their act together.

    This place is great. I took my granddaughter and wanted to just sit and chat and the service was great. Not too busy. The noise level was wonderful. The peach cobbler and banana pudding are to die for. We will do this again.

    Convenient location. No parking issues. The food was great and our server was fantastic with lots of personality. I think her name was Jackie. We came too early for the band so we can’t really comment on that. Will return.

    I was looking for good seafood in Tyler and liked their menu the best. great choice. The Caesar salad was outstanding. The grilled Red fish was just the right size and grilled to perfection. I will definitely visit Rick's on the Square again and soon.

    Disappointed. Made dinner reservation for 8:00 intending to hear band at9:00 as advertised. Waited 15 min before waitress came by. Ordered, ate & drank and waited and waited and waited. Band was watching the Rangers game at the bar. Show started 40 minutes late. Drunk kid bumped into our table and spilled my husbands beer all over my dress. Told waitress, expecting some remedy,& she basically said “sorry”. No replacement beer. Had to flag her down for drinks - she started waiting on another big table and we lost her. We still a $20 tip on an $83 ticket. Food was good, but our date night was less than we had hoped for. Thought this might be a new go-to spot for us. We like to eat, drink & dance and usually have another couple or 2 with us. And, we spend a lot of money and tip well - even for mediocre service, but we felt like Rick’s could care less for our business -so I’m not sure that we will return and I definitely won’t rave about it to our friends. I think you can do better.

    Can in and they had a band playing live music. They had a $10 cover charge. The music was great. Took a little while for me to get service but once I did my waitress Larissa was awesome and she helped me out with my food choice. Definitely would come back

    Our first time to visit and will definitely come back. Our server was in training but she had good support and worked very hard at taking care of us. I ordered the salmon with the crawfish sauce and it was flavorful. Drinks were very good. And BONUS…Big Daddy (band) played and we had an absolute blast!

    Outstanding time at Rick's! Seated promptly, had immediate service and never overbearing. Not many diners on a Monday night, but it was nice to hear our conversation. Food was hot, prepared correctly and wasn't rushed from course to course. Drinks were ON POINT! This is our new weeknight date spot.

    We went for my birthday and paid the cover to sit outside where the band was playing. Music was outstanding, food was great! Service was slow but I’m guessing it’s due to everyone being short staffed, we didn’t mind. Our waiter was super busy but still great! Great place for an adults only night. Big Daddy Band was energetic and such great music!
