    We were one of only two tables in the restaurant, pretty slow Sunday. Surprisingly the service was spotty, slow, and disconnected. The lone server was rarely table side, drinks orders were forgotten, one entrée arrived 4 minutes after the other three. We were asked / rushed to select a dessert at 7.30pm because they decided to close early! Really?! Food is great, very consistent, we come here pretty often, but management needs to be more focused on the service.

    Love Ricky's. Got married at Marin Inn 10 yrs ago. Always feel lively and fun and so happy to see how busy the restaurant and bar was on Friday night. Only complaint was the 2 bottles of wine we selected on the menu they did not have, however, the manager was lovely and picked out a special bottle for us and our waitress did not charge us for the bottle. Not necessary but a wonderful gesture! Food delicious except Calamari great flavor but seemed hard like it was frozen before! Everyone was happy with encrusted halibut, steak, short ribs and pork chops.

    What an unexpected treat! And right in my neighborhood. Had brunch first and then just had to come back and try dinner. Absolutely all the dishes both times were so so good. It’s rare to have six people all in total agreement about their experience. It’s nice & casual at the same time. Everyone there was welcoming & on it. Can’t Wait to have happy hour next!

    Food was unremarkable & the portions were small. Calamari tasted good, but the portion was extremely small. Surf and Turf portion was good, but the steak was overcooked & had no flavor. Caesar salad was smothered in dressing & could not be finished.

    Open table accepted our reservations for Sunday July 3. At 11:00. Restaurant closed. Called restaurant and recording said open but busy on phone called several times throughout morning and no one answered and no way to leave a message. Just said call back. Gave up went elsewhere.

    Like many restaurants it seems these days, they were dealing with a staff shortage on the night we were there. We weren’t in any hurry and they were upfront with their challenges, so we settled in to enjoy the evening. The food was outstanding. They didn’t let quality suffer to push food out of the kitchen. We won’t hesitate to return.

    We visited Rickey's for the 1st time, and had an amazing anniversary dinner...made all the more enjoyable by our phenomenal waiter, Angela. She was such a delight and made us feel so well cared for! We'll be back!

    Came here for Father’s Day. Had a reservation… but I knew when I walked in that it was going to be either a wait or they were short handed because the manager kept saying thank you for your patience as people left. I don’t mind waiting and I understand with the lack of staff that it’s hard to keep up with all that they have to do. What I don’t get is being ignored. Like not even looking at you, not a hi I will be right with you or even a person to bring water… just straight up walking past you no eye contact whatsoever. It’s so weird to me. Food was alright… not worth driving to Marin for but it was good to have a change of scenery. I had a burger, it was fine. Husband had eggs Benedict and again.. it was fine. Son had a waffle but undercooked and didn’t finish it… husband couldn’t finish it either. I don’t know that I will try this place again. Not that I need anything fancy but it definitely needs some upgrades (lobby are for sure) and maybe some enthusiasm. It was just alright for me… which is sad. It came highly recommended.

    Picture this, Fathers Day brunch. Packed house, 1 poor waitress. We waited so long for our food, and then didn’t even get one dish. We asked for it to go about 5 times before we finally saw it. The manager was rude, even said “this happened on Mother’s Day”. Ok well maybe learn from your mistakes and help out your staff? Our waitress was very sweet and I hope she gets a raise. Or a better yet takes the managers job.

    Clearly understaffed and poorly managed. Wait staff didn’t even acknowledge us even though she was slammed to simply say “I’ll be right right with you” Food was just ok. Disappointing Father’s Day brunch.

    What a great find!!! Visiting from out of State and met family here 6/5/22 for brunch. The restaurant was very elegant and the service was top notch. The manager was super nice and accommodating. We had option of sitting on patio by pool or in main dining where there is a big fireplace. Mimosa’s (orig orange, grapefruit, mango & raspberry) were delicious. Most of us ordered chicken and waffles with eggs. My first time and boy has the bar been set high. We were all so impressed! Big piece of crispy tender and flavorful chicken, with a thick Belgium waffle with whipped butter and a few berries and syrup if you want. Waffles were crisp on outside and soft inside. With two eggs any way you want it was so much food. The outside of the restaurant is unassuming next to Inn Marin, but it’s a real gem. Thanks for a memorable experience. Rickey’s will be our go to place whenever we visit CA again! Try it, you won’t regret it.

    Fried chicken dinner was a disaster. Burnt on the outside, raw on the inside. Server was helpful and removed it from the bill, but the damage was kind of done. Beef sliders lacked seasoning and not grilled as requested. Overall disappointing.

    A recent change in management has been very beneficial, and I have returned three times recently. The food options are varied and interesting, prices very reasonable. Service is attentive and discreet. Heather makes a fantastic French 75! The Brussel Sprouts and Ahi Tuna Roll appetizers are divine, as is the Steak+Fries! The ambiance inside is warm, cozy, relaxing, with soft tones, warm lighting and dark wood. Or bask in the setting sun by the pool.

    Our steaks were 2 out of 3! One of the petite filets was supposed to be medium rare and was clearly medium. The prawns with the surf/turf were way too salty. The waiter was very friendly and talkative, but forgot to refill our water all three of the times we asked him to. We also ordered oysters that were supposed to be brought to the table first, but our beet salad arrived first. I have been pleased with Rickey's in the past which is why we went there to celebrate my 50th birthday, but I don't think I'll go back when there are so many other options.

    Unbelievably bad experience. Sat outside on a cold night (only other option was to wait 15-20 minutes past reservation time) and heat lamps broken. Food took more than an hour to serve and was cold and inedible when arrived. They did take some off of bill but I will never go back.

    We hadn’t been to Rickey’s in over two years, and it was nice to go back. Waiter was friendly, but I felt he was always a little rushed. I appreciated that he was willing to give us recommendations on his favorite dishes. Our food was very good, and we appreciated that they were willing to split our salad in two. We had the short ribs and the prawns with angel hair pasta; while they were yummy, they weren’t incredible. Our biggest frustration was the noise level. We went early, and the bar was already hopping — it was loud enough that it made it VERY difficult to carry on our conversation. I just wish they would find a way to separate the bar from the dining room — it would make a huge difference. If they could do that, I would eat at Rickey’s all the time !

    Reservation for two at 6:00 indoor seating, was mild and nice but the outside and bar was hopping due to it being happy hour. I wanted to try the Spa Water cocktail but they were out of the ingredients so I settled for a spicy skinny margarita which was good. My husband ordered the filet and I had the pork loin and both were very flavorful and nicely cooked (not overdone). Service was good too. Next time I would like to go back and check out their happy hour.

    Menu has good selections. Our waiter Ben, was excellent. the french onion soup was delicious. There have been hitches in the past but things are well run at present. Great to have a good local dining spot.

    We had a great time!!! Wonderful server!; very professional, yet friendly and efficient! The food was delicious! We had the Taco Tuesday special with grilled chicken. It came with 2 margaritas!! The beef sliders were excellent! Super juicy and cooked to perfection! We also had the brussel sprouts with creamy goat cheese.. Fabulous !!! A rare gem in Marin!! Hate to share all of this delicious news but I must!!

    Small family get together - new owners have really improved the experience- good choices for appetizers and entrees, well priced, good portions. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Heather our server was delightful. I be loved my surf and turf, we also had delicious Brussel sprouts, and arancini in a spicy Tomato sauce, to start. Shared the cheesecake for dessert with a smooth Porto. We will return, I want to try the Steak&Fries!!

    Food is tasty. Would like to have had the brussel sprouts hot and the cast iron skillet hot to actually keep them warm. Despite that they are good. Our entrees were hot and tasty. Butter cake is a must try.
