We have been in the past, this time for my wife's birthday. The calamari was excellent, the lamb chops were seasoned nicely, but too much fat for me (I also cook lamb at home).

We have always enjoyed Rick Erwins but this time the food was just ok except for the mashed potatoes which had so much horse radish that they were not edible. This was with an order of short ribs which were good but not great. We were celebrating our anniversary and nothing was offered even though we mentioned it on our reservation and again to at least two of the servers. We will likely come back but will consider Vangelis instead where we have always had an excellent experience.

So disappointed - we thought going there was upscale! Our table was stuck in the corner next to a group of six in baseball caps etc. Service was slow - coffee cold - iced cream icy- calamari soft- the only thing really good was the steaks !

Great ambiance. Staff was excellent and very prompt and courteous. The only downside was the food. I was a single diner and feel that they were rushing and trying to free up the table even though others weee open. My food arrived before my wine and I thought it was someone else’s. My filet was supposed to be medium rare but was raw inside. I ate around it but should have sent it back. Overall while I was disappointed I would eat there again as I feel this was probably not the norm.

We come in every few months when we are in town and the service and food are always phenomenal but this time we barely saw our server in the bar area. Next time we will opt for the dining room as we usually do.

We enjoyed our dining experience and thought the staff was really amazing in terms of checking in, being friendly, and having an overall joyful spirit about them. Our waiter had a great balance of banter and seemed to excel at being efficient in his work needs and his interpersonal nature meeting with our personalities. The food was good to great with some items having unique, exceptional flavors (filet mignon, crab cake, and ceviche in particular). Other food was good, but didn’t stand out, such as the redfish…which I’ve had better at other times. Overall, the pricing of menu items was higher than it felt justified to be but it is a finer dining establishment so the expectation was there. Lastly, I can’t blame the restaurant for this: Part of our experience was offset by a nearby table where a regular customer made several outwardly racist derogatory comments during our meal (not directed at us, just something I wish wasn’t part of the experience).

Great experience for our Anniversary dinner. There was a card waiting on the table for us which was signed by some of the staff wishing my wife and I a Happy Anniversary. Christian was our server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful with descriptive recommendations. Excellent service from him and an excellent experience overall.

Vastly over priced for the quality. Sorry, can’t charge big city prices for tepid steaks and sides. Interestingly, Clemson just lost so there were many cancellations and this they can’t blame it on a jammed packed crowd - dining room was barely 50%. We will not be returning to this venue, just can’t justify $200+ for 2.

This is our go-to fine dining restaurant in the area and never fails to disappoint. Cocktails, oysters, burrata, filet mignon, wine selection all excellent. We didn't get the table we requested in the reservation (training issue) and the service, while quite good, wasn't quite the outstanding level it typically is. That said, I don't think you will get a better fine dining meal elsewhere.

Always a special experience going to any of Rick Erwin’s restaurants. Clemson is no exception to the excellent food and service. This time I had The Company Crabcakes. They were so full of delicious crab chunks and very little bread! The side was perfectly fried green tomatoes. Will definitely be back!

Came for our 4 year anniversary. The restaurant an staff did a great job making it a great experience to celebrate a special occasion. Also, they thanked us many times for choosing to celebrate at Rick Erwins which I appreciated. On top of that, the food was great as expected.
