Richard’s is Boise’s newest fine-dining restaurant located in downtown Boise. A modern take on regionally inspired Italian/Mediterranean cuisine; Richard’s celebrates the integrity of ingredients, sourced locally when possible, and prepared simply to showcase the natural flavors of the products. Their service staff is recognized as one of the best in town, with many years of professional serving experience in the Boise area and beyond.

Chef Richard Langston has had a loyal following in Boise since taking the helm as chef at Amore Restaurant in 1993. From there he opened his own restaurants in Boise including Richard's Bakery, Richard's Across the Street, and Richard's Café Vicino. Chef Richard Langston was a 2014 semifinalist for the James Beard Award and a graduate of the California Culinary Academy.

Service and atmosphere were great. Very friendly staff and you genuinely felt their desire to ensure you enjoyed the experience. Our issue was with the food. My wife had the risotto. It was over cooked making it very sticky and thick. Not a lot of taste. I had the prosciutto wrapped chicken. It was decent, but the polenta tasted like it was deep fried in days old oil. It unfortunately overpowered the other tastes. Point is that we expected higher quality for the price. This was our second time (first time wasn’t much better) and we don’t plan to return.

Lovely evening at Richards while staying at Inn 500. The ambiance, service and food keep bringing us back. This particular evening we weren’t thrilled with the dishes we selected from the short menu. But we loved the experience and we will be back!

We were very disappointed had not been to the new location but had enjoyed or meals at the old location. Service was great but my entree was cold and my wife’s was mushy we both had pasta dishes. Very disappointing and for the money spent we will not go back.

The prices are a great deal for how nice the experience feels. They are always really sweet and give great service. Our waitress accidentally left us to decide on dessert for ten minutes, and she comped our dessert. That was so sweet and unnecessary. We’ll definitely be back.

Food and service were good, but the bench style table seating was a real disappointment, especially at their price point. Don't choose this place for a special occasion unless you want to have an intimate conversation with the folks seated at the table 18 inches away from you.
