Good overall but stilll inconsistent. This is my 4th visit. Experience has varied visit to visit. Service varies too from gruff to pleasant. Overall, still very good and I’d go back.

In a word: underwhelming.
The wine markups are high and several of our [too-many-recommended] dishes were hit or miss. Combined with squeezing into two-tops stacked tightly on each other and service that was just fine, I'd recommend other similarly-priced but much better-valued restaurants in SF.

Perhaps our evening would have been more luxurious had we been celebrating a special occasion, as those around [read: on top of] us who were celebrating, did appear to receive extra-special treatment from the waitstaff.

We were very disappointed by our experience at a Rich Table. The servers were surly/rude, the food was incredibly overpriced and underwhelming. We will not return and we will let friends know about our disappointing experience.

Elegant dining in an approachable setting. Added bonus that their kitchen is open late, so it’s perfect for a late bite after the symphony.

food here was awful. doughnuts too doughy & salty served with a bland white sauce to cover up the saltiness, oysters drenched in aji, aged beef wonton bathing in chili oil. gnocchi sardi was bland. service was whatever. completely underwhelming.

Rich Table is my go-to for fine dining in SF. I usually go for the Chef's choice. This is my 5th time and I was never disappointed.

Excellent service and food that is delicious and out of the usual mode. The prices are high so you may want to save it for a special occasion but you won’t be disappointed.

A great cozy place. The good is definitely chef quality. One of the best i have had. The beef straganoff and the ravioli were great. Dessert was so good
I live in Los Angeles but if i go back to sf, I’ll definitely go there again. I will recommend to all my SF friends and family

Excellent good, you can tell that the ingredients are thoroughly selected. From the home made bread and buyer to the entrees. Excellent food at a reasonable price. The menu is an interesting combination that will make you travel to a brassiere in parís.

Service was awesome. It was wife’s 50th birthday and RT gave us great table, birthday card and complimentary dessert.

Food was disappointing. Doughnuts with porcini powder and cheese - a favorite of ours - were so heavily salted that we had to brush them off. Nearly returned them. Pasta and ricotta dumpling entrees were fine but not amazing. Real disappointment was grilled greens with date vinaigrette. It was a slimy, saucy mess. Would like to see some fresh green salad on the RT menu - that always seems to be missing.

Soundtrack for the evening was 70s classic rock. Really not into fine dining with Bad Company and Lynard Skynard playing in the background.

This was my 5th visit and I was disappointed in the food.
There a few delicious dishes and a few that were average.
Loved the anchovy chips and the porcini donuts were really doughy with no flavor. The pasta dish with pumpkin was tasty but barely at room temperature.
The cod was well cooked but the delivery with tortillas and a delicious slaw was very awkward to eat.
Overall for a dinner I was really looking forward to I was disappointed.

Favorite restaurant in the city. Food is always beautifully presented with unique flavors. Service is attentive and unpretentious. Ambiance is down to earth but classy. We are always just in love with the food. Always the first place I check when I’m making a reservation.

The tasting menu is the way to go - and it’s derived from the regular menu, so no surprises there. Great service from Joseph and the entire team. Chef Brandon paid us a visit and could not have been more charming and gracious for our having decided to dine there...which is pretty cool considering it’s an impossible reservation. One of the best meal experiences we’ve had in years, and we seek out great experiences. Would return over and over again (if we could ever get in again...)

We so appreciated the delicious food and impeccable, personal service. The staff included a birthday note on our table and a beautiful dessert. A great dining experience no matter what the occasion. Love the warm, cozy setting as well.

Could have been great if not for the host rushing us out. He told us from the beginning that we would only be permitted to stay at the table until a certain time. I understand it is a busy place and tables are coveted, but where is the hospitality when we are told from the get-go that we are only welcome for a certain length of time? When is the last time anybody went to a restaurant, with a reservation, and the host said “Hold on, I need to evict the earlier diners from your table.” That never happens. And it shouldn’t. It just isn’t good hospitality. At the very least, the host could have been more respectful about the whole thing. Instead, he was curt and passive aggressive. And, in the rush to get us out, they screwed up the bill and mixed up our take-out boxes. Not a Michelin-Star worthy experience.

Dinner was delicious - the porcini doughnuts lived up to the hype, and many other dishes surpassed expectations. Service was extremely hospitable and generous, and our server was v good at reading our group and guiding our dining experience. Thank you for a wonderful time!

My wife and I recently went to Rich Table the night of our wedding to celebrate and could not have been more pleased with the experience. We were treated to a glass of champagne upon arrival and even got a menu from the night signed by the entire staff! None of this, by the way, should distract from how truly wonderful the food and associated drink pairings were. We both ordered the chef’s menu with drink pairings, which allowed us the full enjoyment of the menu. We recommend this experience to any and all, regardless of the celebration at hand, and look forward to our next chance to return ourselves!

As usual, the food was very good, with some special items from the visiting chef from Maison Manesse in Zurich. But the experience was a bit bumpy. The pacing of the meal was uneven with a very long wait for our main courses. And I really wish they would tame the noise level; it's very hard to have a conversation, even with just 3 of us.

I’ve been trying to get into this place for awhile, a little harder for me because I have a tight schedule, finally saw and opening at 9:45 p.m. on a Sunday and I took the chance. I’m so glad I did. We did the Chefs Pick. I cannot believe the amount of food we got, I think you get more than what you’re paying for. I love that they gave us both different items for each course so we had more to try. The place is small but I loved the experience. It was worth it.
