Rich Table Ratings and Reviews
Get the tasting menu and be hungry. It was a lot of really good food. Service was excellent. They are a well oiled service machine! I would happily go back. Probably groups of four are optimal and two works equally well. Also be prepared for lots of subtle sea food.
The food here was fantastic, but service was the especially memorable part of our visit. We came in for our anniversary and were greeted with a genuine "Happy Anniversary" from both the hostess and (later) our server. When we arrived at our table, we found a nice handwritten note. We ordered a smattering of things from the menu and all were thoughtful and extremely tasty. After our meal, two delicious pistachio creme coffees arrived, compliments of the staff. Many restaurants ask if you're there for a special occasion, but few make you feel as special as the staff at Rich Table did for us.
It was our first visit, and we ordered the Chef’s Tasting Menu which was outstanding. The explanations of each delicious flavorful dish, and our servers’ concern for our timetable for the Symphony made this the best meal I’ve enjoyed all year. Wow. Truly a special dining experience. We will probably not order the Tasting Menu next visit, however— it was a lot of food. Our server kindly boxed it up for us, so we could take it home. But look out! They’re generous!
Incredible meal with exquisite cocktail pairings. The doughnut bites, bread and butter, was exceptional and definitely worth trying if it’s your first time. The dessert was perfectly balanced and introduced new flavor combinations that were delicious. Highly recommend
Rich Table came highly recommended for a dinner. Original reservation was for four, but later expanded to 7. The restaurant accommodated the change, steered us toward the family style option, and was just fantastic throughout the evening. If there was any complaint, it was that we had too much good food! A great “problem” to have. I’d be very happy to return.
The dried porcini doughnuts with raclette were amazing. I got the dry aged ribeye and my mom got the trout, and both were sooo delicious. For dessert we shared the poached apple which was good as well. Service was friendly and helpful. Can’t go wrong with Rich Table!
The staff was definitely well versed and we had excellent service. We did the porcini doughnuts and sardine chips per the yelp review and although creative, they were not that exciting. We had octopus salad, cod, and steak entree and we thought the cod was overdone and the steak was okay. I did enjoy the uni pasta and the beef tartare. I was just underwhelmed.
This meal was by far the best food that we had in San Francisco. We came the day after our anniversary on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the area. The food was creative and packed full of flavour. The porcini doughnuts and the sardine crisp are must tries.
We also had a cocktail which was excellent as was the service which was meticulous throughout.
We have eaten at a number of Michelin restaurants and this meal was equally as pleasant a dining experience as some of these.
Food quality has slipped. Sardine chips were once one of my most favorite appetizers, but sadly, they have been subpar the last 2 visits- sardine portion is now tiny and very tough. Also, vegetable and salad choices were lacking. Pork chop was a bit overcooked and dry- brining would have helped.
