Really good place with great service and amazing food. Honest food, absolute top-notch cooking and amazing taste. Good wine choice and super good beers. Many fancy Michelin restaurants can learn how to do both casual and high level food experience in a friendly atmosphere.

Overrated, Overpriced, did not live up to the hype. Was a fine meal. In SF it takes a lot to stand out and this meal did not, other than a few of the small plates, nothing really stood out. For nearly $300 for two people, we expected a caliber of meal that this restaurant did not deliver.

So good. Decided against the chef tasting menu. Still had a great experience. The uni butter cacio e pepe is out of this world. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about suggesting pairings with our food.

We came to Rich Table primarily because it was close to the venue where we would be seeing a show, we will be returning because it is worth a trip all on its own. The food was all excellently prepared; however, what put the evening over the top for us was the service. While all the servers who came to the table were excellent, our primary server, Dana, was above-and-beyond. Professional, courteous, and friendly. Knew the menu backwards and forwards, willing to make recommendations and help us decide. And, made sure that we stayed on schedule to get to the performance we had let her know about.

Very highly recommended.

Truly a special meal. Every dish was playful, flavorful, well portioned but had me wishing for more! Service was attentive and warm from server, to host, to manager, to food runner. #SardineChip4lyfe.

The food was layered with flavors and beautiful to look at. The atmosphere was more casual than I expected. The servers wore jeans. I like to dress up for fancy dinners and there were more people casually dressed than not. Overall really enjoyed the whole experience.

The food was AWFUL. Had the chefs choice tasting menu. Ate like 9-12 different things. Not a single thing was near wow. Avocado dip was ok, not special. Doughnut item with cheese was ok, not special. Croquette balls nice, not special. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS TRASH! I’m not exaggerating. We were served asparagus twice once cold and then later hot. Halibut with Miso was disgusting. Even the hanger steak was junk, and I have never met a piece of steak I didn’t like. Me and my wife didn’t really enjoy even one thing we ate. The crazy thing is they gave each of us different dishes through half the tasting menu so we had a lot of opportunities to find something we liked. Nope...didn’t happen. Spent $250 plus $40 tip on trash. I tipped because of service not the food. I asked for my check early and the Asian waitress could tell something was wrong and asked if everything was ok. I said yes because her job was done properly. We took dessert home and threw it away because we were already so disappointed. Who ever puts the menu together at this restaurant and cooks everything should probably work at school cafeteria. Avoid - Avoid - Avoid this place. Garbage.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood, you would never have thought that a hidden gem existed around the corner.

Amazing food especially with the donuts and katsu pork. Would have loved a bit more curry sauce but amazingly beautiful plating and superb tantalisation of the palate.

Highly recommend.

Always a wonderful experience. Food was delicious, inventive, and seasonal. Staff is outstanding. Warm but informed creating a relaxed atmosphere. The drinks were outstanding as well. Fantastic meal.

Wonderful meal and excellent service! Really enjoyed a couple of old standbys (porcini donuts and sardine chips), as well as the strawberry rhubarb foie gras pie, beef tartare, and all the pasta dishes. Yum.

We were eager to try Rich Table because of all the great reviews we had read. Getting dinner reservations was tricky and credit card was needed to confirm. Probably had too high expectations for the restaurant, so I was rather disappointed by our dining experience. I do highly recommend the "Risky Business" cocktail, an orange flavored gin martini. The sardine chips and porcini doughnuts were also delicious, but the beef wontons were too oily in a chili sauce. The pasta dishes were tasty, but I was disappointed that the same pasta noodles were used for 2 separate dishes. I also was not overwhelmed by the hamachi crudo or beef tartare. Overall, I think the food is high quality, but nothing was outstanding. The service was excellent, but seats were uncomfortable, hard benches, and it was a bit noisy. I would next time rather have cocktails and appetizers only at the bar.

this was a wonderful meal as usual. the asparagus appetizer was some of the best asparagus we have ever eaten. Kudos also goes to the chocolate pannacotta. the service was appropriately attentive and helpful. And we were out in plenty of time for our 7:30 show. this is a cozy, not stuffy, Michelin one star

We dined pre-performance at Rich Table on a recent Friday night. Dining at Rich Table requires planning (need to book as soon as reservations are available one month in advance); confirming the reservation is problematic (you never talk to a real live person, just leave a message and hope it is received.) But once inside, all hassles disappear. The staff and ambiance are friendly and welcoming; the playlist features my personal favorites (lots of Grateful Dead); and the food is an incredible mix of experimental California cuisine. We started with porcini doughnuts with raclette (don’t miss them); followed by lovely spring vegetable salads. The beef agnolotti was a bit spicy but the halibut in a miso broth was incredible. The coconut shave ice for dessert was a light way to end the meal. Wine staff helped us select an incredible Calderara Sottano from Etna in Sicily. The meal more than made up for the difficulties in securing and confirming the reservation.

The food at Rich table was good - they have some creative dishes on the menu . Our favourite was the sea urchin pasta - it was awesome. The wontons were good too. My husband loved his pork. Service is a bit impersonal and you are almost eating with your neighbors - we went through our neighbors’ journey of finding the perfect wine for the night. We were visiting SF and this seems like a very SF thing - new restaurants touting a new hip vibe and it probably lasts half a year. Rich table was definitely better than some of the other restaurants we tried but needs to add a bit more of personality through its service to make people want to visit again, and again.

Loved the locally sourced vegetables in our two delicious salads -- Riverdog Farm is our neighbor and parts of our dinner came from that farm and also from Full Belly Farm just down the road in the beautiful Capay Valley. Our server was quite knowledgeable about the food and the chef came out to introduce himself. Very nice!
