Rice N Bean - Hell's Kitchen
Food and drinks are consistently good and well prized
This is my go-to restaurant before seeing a play in
the city when there is not a lot of time
A cute little place, very tasty food. Great value for the money. I recommend the rice croquettes, the chicken croquettes, and the plantains.
Amazing foods. Tastes like Brazil.
I would definitely recommend this place.
Great authentic Brazilian food! Me and my wife will definitely go again.
The food is fantastic. I love the small place - the vibe is really cool. Just give yourself time because it takes a while for the preparation, it's not really a fast joint but everything is well worth the wait.
We had an excellent experience. This was a family outing with 6 people and it as really lots of fun. Was surprised that the restaurant was so small (looks like it seats less than 2 dozen people), but it was well run, clean, great service and excellent food for all 6 meals. Would recommend it to anyone who could get there.
Very nice staff
The food was amazing! Visiting from Chicago & would definitely come back!
Love this place. Like eating a homecooked meal in Sao Paulo!
So good and such nice staff. Happy hour is a real bargain and we loved our food. This is a great place!
Great food, great service & great prices.
Love their empanadas!
Always a wonderful time at this great little place. Love it here so much.
Great Brazillian food and very friendly service. The place is quite small but it didn't feel cramped.
I would recommend the cheese puffs and the Feijoada.
We absolutely loved the place, the food, the service and learning about Brazilian culture through food. The place is small, but just how we like it. We enjoyed our whole experience.
Great food and staff. Wish the place was a little bigger
Great service and delicious food. Great value. Felt like we were in Brazil.
A very small place. Make reservations if can!
Recommend the Garliac Steak- very tender and flavorful!
The food and service were great. Only drawback was when the bill came and we were charged $5 for water. If you visit and they ask if you want water just state you want tap water and not $5 dollar sparkling water.
We went prior to a Saturday matinee. By 12:15 all the tables in this small restaurant were full. By showing up around 11:45, we had our choice of seats - a good thing if there are only two of you as tables along the banquet wall are close together while tables on the opposite wall offer more space and privacy.
We had empanadas and black bean soup - both were good - but the star dish was the feijoada stew.
Once the restaurant was full, service dropped off a bit. There were only two servers and one was in training, so that will improve with time.
The value is tremendous. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Very good and intimate space. Almost too intimate! One dish was a little too salty but overall really enjoyed the dining experience
The steak appetizer is to die for. 4 of us had meals, 3 of us got a variation of Rice n Bans and it was phenomenal. One of us got a fish dish that wasn't based on Rice n Beans and it was good, but not as good as the dishes bearing their namesake.
Best place for authentic Brazilian food in Hell's Kitchen, but get there early if you don't have a reservation.
Amazing food and drinks! Great service, highly recommend!
If I could give more than 5 stars for the food and lovely service I would. My niece came from Australia and is amazed at all the various cuisines! But she keeps recalling rice and beans and wants to go back. I am not easily impressed by food. But this was amazing.. bursting with beautiful flavors!! New fav place in town!!
Good variety of Brazilian food. Good service, but restaurant has small seating capacity.
Really nice little restaurant. A tiny hole-in-the-wall, but excellent service and delicious, authentic food. The Sangria was to die for. Very reasonably priced for NYC, too. I will definitely return.
I love this place! It's my go to place when I'm going to a show on Broadway.
Has become one of my favorite spots to eat and recommend ... love the service and food
Had the Feijoada special and it was excellent, in fact possibly the best Feijoada I have had. Also found the Caipirinhas cocktail to be superb, very flavorful. I will be back!
Delicious food and excellent service! I love this place.
Really good value authentic Brazilian cooking, fantastic caipirinhas!
Always a great experience at this super authentic spot! Reminds me of true Brazilian home cooking! Staff always super friendly!
Fantastic, as usual.
Small, brightly decorated restaurant with yummy dishes and friendly, helpful service. Our group of 4 absolutely swooned over the desserts: passion fruit mousse and the “other worldly” chocolate brigadiers. A wonderful value. We can’t wait to return.
Authentic Brazilian food in a small casual and friendly storefront. Great value at this unassuming spot.
We have a new pre-theater gem! Loved everything about this tiny little spot from the friendly service to the unique cocktails. The yucca fries were to die for and the cheese puffs were delish. And that was just the starters.
We’ll be back!
Small restaurant with great food. Some of the best collard greens I’ve ever had.
Continues to be my neighborhood regular
The food was very good and tasty and plentiful -- and according to a friend who has lived in Brazil, authentic. The appetizer assortment was just OK, but the codfish dish (can't remember the name) was really outstanding. Also the chicken and fish-stew were very good. We had a very nice waiter, and the happy hour drinks were good.
