Riccio's Steak & Seafood
For the casual diner, Riccio’s offers a relaxed patio presentation for watching downtown Palm Springs unfold while sampling their intriguing, seasonally changing menu. Riccio’s bar faces lively Palm Canyon Drive, and picture windows frame a sculptural fountain.
The desert's top steak and seafood restaurant. Come taste why over 40 years of customers keep coming back to this downtown landmark.
Service was very efficient, food was very tasty and ambiance on the patio was relaxing.
Food was great. Kitchen smells in dining room not good. Like smell of something burning! Good service!
Absolutely a wonderful dining experience! Order the Chicken Marsala the rich sauce is savory and this dish is the best I have ever had. The Riccio family will welcome you Italian style and encourage you to Manga Manga their homemade family fare. Enjoy, Ciao Bella!
We were celebrating our honey moon and this place popped up with decent reviews so we decided to try it out.
Place was empty when we got there and our server seated us. We wanted to look at the menu so we ordered waters to start. Waters came out in dirty glasses so we asked for another one. The busboy tried telling us that it was the reflection of the table cloth.
We ordered their oysters as appetizer and a bottle of wine. There was no presentation of the wine when it was brought. We ordered a Cab and there was no black napkin, our server asked “who’s trying it” and waved the bottle between my husband and I. She brought two chilled wine glasses and they were once again dirty. I asked if she could bring another glass because that one was dirty so she went and told the bartender and came back and told me that it was because they were chilled that it wasn’t dirty. I grabbed a napkin and I could scrape things off from it. So she brought another one and poured the wine.
By that time we were a little annoyed but still wanted to try to enjoy the evening. I’m a big fan of clam chowder so I decided to give theirs a shot. I was very disappointed when it came out it did not taste pleasant had no flavor you could only taste potato.
After that we knew it was not going to get better. So we asked for the check and made reservations somewhere else.
Mgr did stop by and was he was nice and we told him the situation and he just thanked us for the feedback.
Maybe it was an off night but I would definitely not go back.
We were 10 mins late for our reservation due to misdirection, but we arrived to find an empty restaurant, which seemed odd to me. Myself and 2 others had the filet, which I found to be very good. One other in our party had the Paella, which he indicated was not good at all. Towards the end of our meal, one other table did show up but I thought that during a convention where restaurants are packed, an empty restaurant wasn't a great showing. Overall I enjoyed my meal, but would probably look to one of the many other steak houses or seafood restaurants in the area.
One and Done
I had the beef cannelloni and my spouse had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Both were mediocre. The garden salad was alright. The cup of minestrone was skimpy and bland. The bread was passable but too soft and not the right kind for an Italian restaurant. The appropriate bread is crusty Italian.
The $14 Manhattan was way overrated.
Service felt rushed and intrusive.
The restrooms are in a common area shared with another restaurant next door and accommodate only one person at a time.
For this restaurant to charge top dollar for such an experience is pretty outrageous.
We will not be going back.
Greeted by our lovely young server but did feel kind of rushed to order. Possibly because we were early birds and she was being over attentive.
Cocktails were excellent, Old Fashioned and a Bellini Martini.
Little neck clams were the smallest that I have ever seen and tasted a bit peculiar.
The pear salad was good but pears were hard and bleu cheese and cranberries would have been a great addition to this salad.
Salmon was tasty.
The Veal Parmigiana was a wee bit tough.
I would definitely come back and try a steak instead.
Place stunk like sewer, food was bland. Ordered carpaccio with shaved Parmesan. Order came without Parmesan. When we asked the waiter for some he replied they don’t have that. Why is it on the menu? Did i mention the food was awful? The $42 cowboy steak was dry and had no flavor. On a bright note, the service was great! Don’t recommend.
Went there to celabrate a birthday. Good choice. Great food and service. Has been a few years been there and as good as I remembered it.
The veal chop is the best in the Valley.
First time at Riccio's restaurant in Palm Spring. Enjoyed the visit. Nice intimate place on Palm Canyon. The service was very good. Enjoyed the food. Had the Escargot and the Med seafood with pasta, it was very good. We would go back for another visit.
Wonderful food and attentive service. It was a little loud but there were families with kids that had parents who didnt ask them to have manners while out in public.
Pervasive issue these days.
The food and service were great! Inside is on the smaller side, more of an intimate environment. Overall, we were very happy with our experience.
At the time of my visit, there was a order that could have been sewer or mildew, however, my food was excellent! The Chef prepared very well! My waitress was also excellent, strong customer service skills and just a good person. Nice getaway for us!
Soup was too salty. One steak was too done, but they did offer to replace it. Generous servings of the desserts which were made in house were fantastic! Great service, very attentive owner who made sure his diners were being well taken care of all night.
Excellent place for a romantic date. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious
We were there to celebrate my dads 83 birthday. We had an early reservation so I don't know how crowded it gets later but it was quiet and the atmosphere was great while we were there. Food was great, service was great and the wines were priced well. I would definitely recommend trying this place.
Our server was fabulous. Food was delicious.
Always one of our favorites In Palm Springs.
Great service
A bit pricy
Wedding rehearsal dinner. Beautiful evening made even more special by the staff at Riccio’s. Food was very good tasting, a little basic for the price. The location is further down the strip of the main drag which made for a quiet personable evening that we really enjoyed. The staff was fun warm and friendly. You felt welcomed as if you were in their home as dinner guest. Riccio’s will definitely be added to our list.
I was an excellent experience.
I had a very good and tasty paella. My friend ordered a steak, medium cooked and it was a little overcooked but tasty
Been coming to Riccio's for about 2 years. It is located west of Downtown crowd, so your parking is easier ( park down the street at public parking area). Service is excellent and food very good. Go, you will enjoy yourselves.
Dinner was excellent!!! We will return upon our next visit to Palm Springs!!
Friends get together
We were excited to make a reservation after driving by and seeing it in the evening. It looked really nice.
We were disappointed with the dinner. Bread was like white sandwich bread. Balsamic was so bitter that it ruined the vinegar/oil dip. Salads were a let down One salad had browned lettuce and my $11 pear salad was not worth it.
The meals were “ not horrible “ but definetly not what was expected
Sat outside so a little noisy with traffic but serve car and food was outstanding
everything was great. The service from Eric (?) was incredible...and the whole team
It was a wonderful evening. Food was delicious and the waiter was attentive. Nice patio seating for warm Palm Springs evenings. The martini was especially memorable - a generous pour plus a mini carafe kept on ice for seconds!
My husband and I had a wonderful and intimate dinner here and our steaks were cooked impeccably and right to order! We will be coming back!
This has always been one of my favorite Palm Springs restaurants, last time Harry & Paul were here too. Tonight’s food was exemplary. I started off with clams in the half shell and then we had spaghetti Bolognese with giant meatballs and pan fried salmon with cauliflower and Julianne carrots and new potatoes, absolutely spectacular. I had a glass of rose and two beers one German and one Belgium.
The Belgium beer was most intriguing. It’s been brewed since 1128 it is very dark but very mild and is named after the mythical phoenix bird which they call, Grimbergen. Eating here is highly recommended !
First time visit and we were very happy with the quality of the food and the excellent service. Lovely patio although we sat inside. The interior is very intimate. We will definitely be back.
The experience was very good and the food was wonderful
We like to save a night at Riccio’s when visiting Palm Springs as always meets our expectations
We always eat here before our play at Palm Canyon Theatre. This time the service by Ridya was fast, which has not always been true. We had our drinks, appetizers, and entrees in 40 minutes, allowing us time for coffee and dessert before we had to walk across the street.
Our service team was excellent. They were attentive and quick to fill water and bring drinks. We ate outside. It is a typical outside setting, nothing special. With the construction across the street there isn't much of a view. My wife's veal chop was excellent, but pricy at $48. My veal parmesan was just mediocre. The serving was not large and it did not come with pasta. Who serves veal parmesan without pasta? I inquired and was told that it would be a $6 charge for a side of pasta. All meals come with potato and vegetable, NO SUBSTITUTIONS. When you are paying that kind of money there should be some flexibility/choices.
I don’t know how you mess up spaghetti and meatballs... however, they managed. The servers were arguing over who got to cover specific tables and although I had about 3 bites of the horrendous pasta, no one asked if it was ok. I am not one to proactively complain about food but this was a sad show. I guess being in a tourist town, they just let themselves go..
We enjoyed the meal, maybe a bit pricey for the quantity of food served. Maine Lobster tail was great, the Lobster bisque not so good, the lobster (I'm assuming was Australian) was rubber and tasteless. Over all we enjoyed ourselves. Would probably try a new place before returning.
We had a family reunion in Palm Springs Ca. and selected Riccio's for our final dinner party before departing for our perspective homes in the USA. It was relaxed, wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. I have been here for dinner for many years and hardily recommend to all who come to Palm Springs.
