Riccardo Enoteca Ratings and Reviews
What a wonderful meal we had at Riccardos’s, amazing food great service and cozy atmosphere. We came in after walking around the LP Zoolights it was freezing out there but this meal really hit the spot.
Definitely recommend this place!!!
The food was unimaginatively prepared and missed their target. The soup was thick and tasteless, the chicken piccata tasted pure lemon juice and way too many capers. The food had to be sent back because it was cold...the plates weren't heated so cooled too quickly. This restaurant is a miss!
Neighborhood gem. Worth a drive if you are not nearby. Quiet. Quaint. Service is always great. Very accommodating. I normally would never order a pork chop when dining out but the Pork Chop Emiliana is absolutely amazing. Large portion and so delicious. We’ve been here for a night out with friends and also had family night out here with our kids. Absolutely recommend!
Absolutely delicious meal. The waiter was extremely friendly, attentive, and had wonderful suggestions. The portions were perfect. My date and I shared the burrata and a salad to start and then each ordered a pasta dish. The food came out quickly and was very flavorful, the pasta was cooked to perfection. Definitely would recommend for anyone looking for a wonderful Italian meal. We'll definitely be back!
A very nice evening. Our waiter, JP, was excellent. The food was great. We've been here before and it is consistently very good. We'll be back again. Thanks for taking care of us. Wine list was nice, not to complicated or over-the-top expensive. I'd like to see a reasonable corkage fee option to better manage the expense of the dinner.
Possibly the best Italian I’ve had in the city- simply stunning. Fantastic food, unbelievable atmosphere as it was Christmas time and the place was decked out. Random Tuesday with Julie and Darren. Felt very New York-in-Christmas
Took my "foodie" and very experienced daughter and her husband for her birthday dinner as they were visiting from LA. I was congratulated numerous times during and after the meal for my choice. (That says it all). Very authentic, Tuscan style enoteca, with a wide array of options, knowledgeable service, comfortable setting. For those who don't know, the restaurant across the street has valet parking - so don't be intimidated by the fear of finding a place to leave the car. From beverages to salads, entrees and pasta, and even pizza, desert.... espresso... we loved the entire experience.
We were celebrating an anniversary and received a complimentary prosecco and dessert. Such a nice surprise! The lasagna and seafood pasta and bruschetta were excellent. The wait staff flawless and the music and cozy ambience just right.
We used to frequent Riccardo Enoteca when we lived in Lincoln Park. Now that we live in Streeterville, we still go regularly. Cesar and his Guadalajaran crew do such a great job (thanks guys!). The menu is extensive - delicious food. The room isn't as cozy, or as pretty, as Riccardo Trattoria, but the ambiance is more relaxed and laid back. We find the crowd at Trattoria a bit pretentious - and while the crowd at Enoteca is also a bit pretentious, less so at Enoteca.
Riccardo Trattoria (sister restaurant across the street) was booked, we were bummed but decided to try Riccardo Enoteca. OMG. Our new favorite restaurant! Everything was fabulous!! My husband ordered the fish special and I ordered the pasta with seafood and spicy red sauce. To die for! Wine list was excellent. My martini perfect. Staff was nice, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Can't say enough about this restaurant. Love, love, love this place!
We were seated at a table shoe-horned into an area of the restaurant's small dining room, one very close to the entrance; we tried to move the table a few inches forward so we wouldn't be right under a ventilation duct streaming cold air onto our shoulders and heads and would also be out of the nearly direct path of people exiting and entering, but our waiter came over and forced us to move it back, in a brusque manner too which offended me.
The food was also overpriced--I don't think we'll be going back. This was our second time there--our first visit was better, the service less persnickety, though the table again was cramped and undesirable. In fact, there are few desirable tables at this restaurant.
We were with two friends who are regulars at Riccardo Enoteca too; nonetheless, the manager either didn't recognize them or was too busy or harried to try to ensure our dining experience would be more enjoyable.
Amazing! Love it here- our server was fantastic (more amazing, hospitable and personable then the one we had at the trattoria across the street a few months back) the food is amazing, we ordered the mushroom pizza w truffle oil- awesome.. that crust is too good... also ordered the veal parm and the truffle fettuccine- all on point. Can't wait to go back
