Located at the EntertainmentOne Building in the Queen-Spadina area, at the corner of Peter & Richmond, Ricarda's pairs modern Mediterranean-inspired fare with charming hospitality. Serving Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Tapas in between, the broad offering also includes Saturday a la carte Brunch, Sunday All-You-Can-Eat Jazz Brunch Buffet, Take-Out, Office Catering, and Private Events.
We went to the Sunday jazz brunch for my two years olds birthday. I found this the perfect place to eat really good food and have your kids be able to play. The play area and staff in the play area are really nice. They brought her a little cake and everything. Both my kids had a great time and ate a lot.
The food was great! But portions were much smaller than we expected so we had to order charcuterie after our meals. It doesnt normally come wth cheese however the waiter went above and beyond to get us some great cheeses. Service was on point!
I chose Ricardas because I was looking for a wheelchair accessible restaurant and they came up in a Google search of the top ten accessible restaurants. The accessibility is excellent, but the food is even better! Will definitely be going again. There are so many layers of flavours to their dishes! Every dish we ordered was superb. Service was excellent. No complaints whatsoever!
Food was as delicious, portion was good and wide variety of selections
Shared the four course dinner for two. It was delicious and good value.
Fabulous food and service!
One person in our Group experienced food poising, when paying for food at this price you would expect the food to be safe. Service was also extremely slow. We would not recommend eating here.
If you do go. Don’t order the Halibut and make sure you taste your Wine.
First time visit pre theatre dinner! We started with the octopus! delicious! a little small, but cooked well! Main was the halibut! Again delicious! Home made bread was sooo good! we finished it all! Definitely recommend! Their flatbreads looks too good! next time!
Had a fantastic Sunday brunch with delicious food. Will definitely be back.
Ambiance is fantastic. Favourites - oysters and crab claws. Happy they had seared fois gras (although a little over done as they cook a bunch and leave it sitting there which I guess is what happens at a buffet)
Friendly every step of the way.
Great service and having an ECE on site to monitor our children in the bouncy castle play area was a godsend.
The food was devine and I couldn’t get enough of the crepes, pastries, and desserts!
Great ambiance. Highly recommended
service was excellent. The food was delish! I especially loved the octopus. Great ambiance. Table was a tad uncomfortable. We were seated at a high table and the chairs weren't high enough for the table.
Service was very poor at Ricarda’s, our server seemed too harried and we had to ask for the drink menu, the croissants, had to clarify our order, ask for butter, all the attentiveness that a restaurant of this caliber and price point should have. Also, the bread was stale. Shame.
Overall, nice brunch with some tasty selections and friendly staff.
However, I personally didn’t see the value for the money. But since Collette’s closed I would say this would be the next best thing.
Ricarda’s is just missing that je ne sais quoi that I’ve enjoyed elsewhere.
Great experience. Food was great and server was awesome !
Great birthday lunch. Beautiful restaurant. Cute gimic on your birthday of the discount of your age. My mom was 82 so it was a great deal for her meal! We will definitely be back.
Worst birthday dinner experience ever.
Food was bad and the service was terrible.
The waiter was the rudest waiter I ever had.
Never going back.
I went for brunch with a friend and the food was amazing! We were torn on what to get and decided to share 3 plates (Eggs Benny, Croque Madame and the amazing Lemon Ricotta Pancakes). We were seated at a high table by the window. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely. I would definitely go back!
My only complaint was that it took some time to wave down our waitress to get our bill, but we weren't in a hurry so it's not that big a deal.
It was my Mom's birthday, and we took her out for brunch. Not only did the staff make her feel extra special, but they also gave us a discount on her meal, a free dessert, and a free umbrella! We had an excellent time, and the food was delicious, especially their freshly baked goods. I'd very much like to try their lunch and/or dinner service, next time! Thank you for making my Mom's birthday celebration a memorable occasion :)
The food was mediocre. Nothing worth remembering. The baked goods were decent enough. Service took forever.
Overall had a great experience
My boullibaise was a bit too salty but our waiter was amazing!!
Most things were great, seafood, pastries and desserts are amazing.
However, the cook food were a little disappointing. Pasta and omelette were over cooked...
Won't stop me from coming back but it would be great if there's improvement on the hot food stations.
Love this place the food is good quality the atmosphere is nice for a date or a nice evening
This used to be one of our favourites, but the quality of food has slipped noticeably. The wine list has also deteriorated, I expect this is due to the sommelier leaving. Our server however was excellent.
The service was great! But the food could be better
In a word: perfect.
We were there for Valentine’s Day. We were seated at the very table where we met (a request I had made earlier that week; the staff was happy to accommodate).
The food was extraordinary and the service was exceptional.
A building fire alarm was met with immediate visits to all tables to apologize for the disruption.
They took photos of us in the atrium and the living wall, capping the night with a complimentary umbrella.
Michael and the management team have done an incredible job assembling a team that delivers flawless customer service. If I ever need a family brunch or special night out to go perfectly, Ricarda’s is my first and only phone call.
The vegetarian valentine fixed menu was ok. The tartar was just cut bell peppers put together, it doesn't hold together at all. Beet salad was good. Risotto was excellent. The gnocchi was overcooked.
Went there for Valentine's day. I would have appreciated knowing it was going to be a fixed price menu beforehand.
Food was good. Not fantastic, but still good. While the ambiance was initially nice, the fire alarm was going off for what felt like half an hour. Not great considering how much we were paying for the meal.
Michael the general manager was exceptional in making Valentine’s Day special for my wife and I. The chef’s preparation was outstanding. The service staff were courteous, and attentive. The open concept layout and lively atmosphere of the place made it a memorable experience
A perfect dining experience !
Food and service are very good. Will go back sometime
I came to Ricarda’s for Valentines Day. The ambiance and food was great that night. I have been to Ricardas before and the service seemed to have a bit of an off day but overall it was a great date night!
My husband came from the states, for the week, and booked a reservation for Valentine’s Day. Holy Cow! EVERYTHING WAS INCREDIBLE! Minus the special cocktail but I don’t like grapefruit to begin with and that was an ingredient so I only blame myself. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant! Side not- I have a gluten allergy and the kitchen more than accommodationed me!
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. And a special bday dessert was sent over for our Birthday boy and a discount was applied to his meal! Great experience, as always.
Food is good. Wish there’s the tapas option on days other than Tuesday. Good dessert recommendation from waitress.
Food was incredibly bad especially seafood bar. The dining room was So noisy! Seafoods there was so gummy and unfresh.
We did Sunday Jazz brunch. A good selection of high quality food. We were a big group with 4 kids, and the service was excellent. The kids loved the play area tucked in the back. It's a bit pricey, but overall we had a great experience and would recommend it. Added bonus, if it's your birthday, you get your age (as a percentage) off your bill.
We chose the dinner for two. The food was nice, but skimpy. The salad was good but small for two people. The pasta was also nice, but laughably small. When the fish came I smiled at my husband and sarcastically said: "What are you going to eat?" That night after the show we ate cheese and crackers before going to bed.
As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by this beautiful green floral/plant wall and a friendly smile. The place is well decorated and very Instagram-able. They had a nice table and view for us by the window (per request). Our server was very nice and attentive. He was great. The food was very good. We went for Brunch (Saturday not Sunday), and it was delicious
A favourite spot with creatively tasty food, attentive service, and a nice atmosphere.
Great ambiance. Good food. Good for casual or formal.
