   Terrible restaurant don’t bother going here it’s nothing like the downtown location. Very slow to receive a glass of water and twenty minutes after arriving, we had to order the food and drinks together as no one had bothered to visit our table, despite there being about 10 others in the restaurant. The manager sat on a table talking to friends/customers? for fifteen minutes in plain sight and wasn’t paying any attention to what was happening. After waiting almost an hour for our food to arrive, we left - apparently it was nearly ready twice. The kitchen is open and we could see three chefs one of which was on his phone and eating for ten minutes. The manager wasn’t planning on even coming over until we asked the waitress if we could speak to her, she arrived with an attitude and left with one, awful customer service and no one here cares about your experience, it’s an inconvenience for you to be there. Also it’s very draughty and cold. Too much hassle and a hundred better options for 3 burgers!

   We booked a reservation here in order to recreate our recent experience in Spain. We started with the beet and burrata salad and the octopus appetizers both which were very good. The short ribs were a B+ and while the scallops were flavourful, I thought only 2 small scallops was not really a an entree size dish. One of the things we had hoped to have was a white Rioja that was listed on the online menu as this is a wine that is rarely seen in local restaurants. We were disappointed that it was not available although a Viognier that was recommended was a good substitute. I would go back as it's a restaurant with a unique menu though the choices will not appeal to everyone.

   Very disappointed with service and food quality. Previous visits had been good but this was awful. Food was sloppy, below temperature and extremely slow despite being only one of two tables at lunch. Risotto dish was a practical joke

   We went for a birthday brunch. Three of four meals were cold and overdone for eggs. Waited a long time for food as they were setting up buffet. We ordered off menu. Won’t be going back. Staff were accommodating with issue but we will not be returning.

   The service at Ricarda's Oakville was really great. We had a nice time sitting out on the patio for brunch, and the servers were all attentive and friendly. 4/5 stars only because the out of the 5 entrees we ordered, 2 were overcooked. Though nothing was physically burnt, and technically still edible, the eggs benedict was over done, with the yolks dry and crumbly. The lamb burger was also cooked a little too long, so the burger itself was dry and fell apart. Our friends ordered the croissant sandwich and Ricarda's breakfast, which were both great. Our little one had french toast, which was mediocre, not bad by any means, but not restaurant quality, and definitely not an item we would order again. We were a bit disappointed as we heard great things about Ricarda's, but had what we would consider, a very average food experience.

   Our family was celebrating an anniversary and birthday and it was the perfect place! Great time and great food! Really enjoyed our experience at Ricarda’s Oakville!

   I liked the patio but felt it should be softened a bit. Plants go a long way to do this. Our waitress that served us was great but there was an argument going on with her and the girl that should have been covering us. She was not very good. Food good but not memorable. Even though we sat on patio I checked out the dining room. Beautiful, lots of ambiance there. I may return for Sunday jazz.
