Good quality was amazing; just wish the portions were a bit bigger
The beef dish is unparalleled in quality, tastiness, tenderness and overall deliciousness as is the sea bass which is buttery and light and melts in your mouth. Pricey but worth it. As for the tofu soondubu: meh, but that is perhaps the dish itself. The japchae also rather uninspired, but kind of delightful for a vegetarian. The ban chan were all fresh and surprising, piquant and tart and full of umami, and they make their own in house gojuchang, notably different from the all too common OTC variety. Very cool new place with excellent, attentive, friendly and professional wait staff. Highly recommended over all.
We were dining in for friend’s birthday celebration.
All staffs were super nice and friendly.
They explained each dishes well, all dishes were tasty beyond pretty looks. Definitely new style modern Korean BBQ, we will be back for next special occasion! Thank you for hospitality.
Our clothes smell of food afterwards, need better ventilation
It is a great location and the food is amazing! Would recommend to anyone for a 4+ person meetup
You don't get as much banchan as other Korean restaurants. Meat intensive but very good overall. Recommend.
Horrible experience with too many problems to list, but let me give you a snapshot anyway: loads of servers hanging around but they don’t want to serve and just prefer to chill in the background so they won’t make eye contact with the customers…had to ask for items several times. Some of the items that we ordered (specifically the appetisers) were really really bad: the shrimp seaweed pancake was inedible and should have been just thrown away, then the noddles with mushrooms and beef was so so sweet that it’s obvious they just sweeten everything to make it taste good.
The meat itself was nothing to write home about either, too chewy and definitely didn’t live up to the promise of better cuts of meat on a higher price point. Literally left pieces of meat on the grill because I couldn’t chew through the fat and the sinews. These places who do Korean BBQ in this way that it seems they are ripping their customers off are a disservice to the entire industry.
Will never visit this place again and will stay away from any restaurant that these owners create in the future. I also don’t think this restaurant will have repeat customers, with their silly price point and lack of service. Go to Cote or to Baekjong, but not to this place.
Excellent food and service. Definitely come back as much as possible
The best Korean BBQ I’ve ever had with an atmosphere that is better than any in the area.
The best kbbq in the city. Fried rice at the end was the best.
Banchan and meat were all so good. Service was great. Elevated for Korean bbq, which is a nice change as Korean bbq places tend to feel kinda grungy. Sesame ice cream was sooo good! Definitely coming back!
Delicious and great ambiance, but the service (the server messed up our drink order on separate occasions) and food portions make it a bit hard to justify the high costs.
Great food. Great Service. Absolutely recommendable. Willing to revisit
Good service and good taste:)
Number one!!! Top class!!! BBQ place in manhattan!
Loved the interactive presentation of meats tableside, however the restaurant had very poor ventilation for a barbeque restaurant. The grills did not have an oil collector (usually a hole in the corner of the pan) so oil was splattering everywhere. Overall, a beautiful presentation of side dishes, stew, etc. and great quality meat, though on the pricier side.
This was my first time having korean bbq and it was amazing. Our servers explained to us what everything on the table was which was great. The whole experience was wonderful, I very much enjoyed watching my meat be made right in front of me.
The marinated galbi was amazing, but all other food was mediocre. Very nice and attentive staff.
Overall, for the most part*, great experience! The host and staff were very accommodating with my reservation requests long before the day, then at dinner the atmosphere was really nice, not crowded/cramped at all. Everything about the food was delicious and presented so well, like a nice show, including the tartare, BBQ itself, and the fried rice at the end. The waiters were attentive throughout. The food was so delicious, and the black sesame ice cream was a great way to end the meal.
*The only snag was lack of alignment between waiters: we ordered cocktails initially because the first waitress assured that they were under happy hour pricing. But after receiving the bill, the final waiter said it was only Mon-Thurs (not written anywhere on menu) and refused to budge even though we told him it’s what the initial waitress said, after we asked her to confirm too. So that was annoying, I expect restaurants to at least customize or accommodate when there’s been a miscommunication (especially when wholly on their end).
But I’d take that at as a single waiter’s mistake rather than the whole establishment’s, and still rated it 5 because I’d definitely still go back and give it another go.
The food was excellent, but a bit costly. I would definitely come again for a special occasion.
The staff was amazing. The quality of meat was ok but not something that I would get again and pay $50pp. Have had better for less.
Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. We ordered the marinated rib and it is a must try!
The place was very welcoming and service was flawless.
Great food, the marinated rib 7 was really good.
Was okay. Price was expensive for the amount of food. Did not like the requirement of having a minimum of two orders to use the grill. Wanted to try different food but was unable to due to requirement. Also, not sure if the fried rice was free or not. It was not on the menu and waiter was unclear.
Food was very fresh and delicious. I’m from Japan and picky about the food. I was still happy. 👍🏻
Well designed restaurant and quite helpful staff compliment the food .
loved this! Will definitely go back here. Was delicious, clean, and well priced.
This was a celebratory dinner and all my guests were quite impressed with this restaurant - food was excellent and tasty. Service was great - waiters could be a little bit more accessible to questions about menu options. One suggestion: you may want to consider a combo ice cream order, since you only have two flavors, which were great by the way. But to get a tasting for both, it would be nice to have that option of mixing both flavors in a serving, this way customers would have some idea which they would prefer the next time around. Overall experience was great and satisfying. Highly recommend to friends and will definitely be back!
A nice decor and pretty good service. Meat quality is good though noise level is a bit high
Winner winner KTown Bbq Dinner!! I’ve tried several KTown spots, but this place is amazing leaving others in the dust. Don’t miss their marinated galbi as it’s a unique flavor unlike other places. And a follow up highlight is the fried rice cooked in the grilled meat juices...and add the cheese. Go big or go home!
A. M. A. Z. I. N. G. 😌
Quality cuts of meat! Portions of meat are not too big. Definitely try the marinated and non marinated kalbi!
Delicious meats, entrees and banchan side dishes. Excellent service.
Overall it was good except none of servers tried to speak in english at all. I guess it’s because prob I was Korean at our table but except me, everyone else(rest of 4 people) was all non-Korean and native speaker for english. I made it clear from the beginning that I’m the only Korean at our table but even after that, the server just kept speaking in Korean till the end of dining. Obviously I had to translate every words which was no prob, but I wish they could try to explain about dishes in english since it’s the restaurant in U.S. And also thought it could have made better impression for the people who had never been to Korean restaurant before. It could be almost perfect experience. The food quality was really good tho.
A new restaurant with excellent BBQ Korean ribs. The service was top notch and the restaurant was very clean and modern. Food was excellent and 7th rib was special. Try it!
Fun spot to share BBQ with friends outside the hustle and bustle of 32nd street. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
