Mis à part le valet à l'extérieur qui n'a pas apprécié que je refuse du lui remettre mes clés, tous le personnel était vraiment parfait et à notre écoute. (Nos ribs steak était exquis :) )

Cuisine excellente, aussi bien sur les plats de viandes que sur les fruits de mer. Service agréable et réactif, nous avons passé un moment très agréable.

Fabulous! To be able to have a much needed cigar before dinner at this venue was way cool! And then the dinner was wow! Try the clam chowder for sure! The steaks, rose sauce on the linguini with veal, the chorizo, the Mac and cheese, creamed spinach all amazing. All felt Covid safe. For the amount of restaurants that can’t keep staff and feel like there are not enough servers this was the opposite. So many staff all seeming happy and loving what they do! Very friendly. 5 star service, including hot towels at the end. Big thanks to Youssef & Willy for their hard work welcoming us in from Austin, TX and Toronto. They are open even on Christmas! We will be back before returning home. Willy made the Cesar dressing table side filled with love too. In a touch challenging world right now we appreciated how well run Rib and Reef is, and how the ambiance wa welcoming and positive!

Everything was “good” however I was just expecting “great” from this restaurant being that is has the reputation of being the best steakhouse in Montreal. I don’t mind spending the money however would like the quality of the food to reflect the prices and reputation - maybe they had an odd night.

It was very loud because it was very busy. The waitstaff seemed overwhelming. Also, it took 10 minutes to leave the establishment because my car was boxed in by the valet staff.

From the start we had to use valet parking, although I could easily have parked my car myself, which meant having to wait in the cold to recover the car, and increased Covid risk. Then the waiter brought the wrong menu, without the lunch Table d’hôte on it. Then they brought the steaks but mixed them up so my guest got my medium rare rib steak and I got the medium one. I must say the medium rare steak looked perfect and indeed my guest said it was delicious. It would have been a faux pas to then try and trade plates with her so I ate the medium one, without saying a word, but feeling I had just been cheated out of $160.00 The steak came with a tossed green salad which was nice and crispy, coffee and desert (a small chocolate cake). I could not have the cake, being celiac (gluten intolerance) and I was not offered any alternative. I had never been to the place before. Based on my limited experience I can appreciate this place may the best around if you like a good rib steak or sea food but one has to be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars for lunch for two, assuming you want appetizers and wine. The ambience is plush and quiet although the music is a tad to loud for me.

Very disappointed, was not impressed with the overpriced menu for the quality of the dishes. Some of the waiters did not speak french and we were presented and asked if English menus were ok.. Instead of asking French or English menus?

We dry-age it and butcher it in-house, We season it with our own blend of spices. We admit that mistakes can happen, but we always fix them on the spot if a guest is not satisfied.
