Ri Ra Irish Pub - Georgetown
Tables are small...trying to maximize seating in a smallish restaurant. Great food, good choices, competitive pricing
we miss the one in Bethesda but it is worth going to the one in Georgetown!
Despite it being Mother’s Day we received excellent service, and our food was hot and perfect!
Server was great and the food was wonderful. Hadn’t been before and would definitely go back.
We had a great time with our out of town guests. Service and food was above expectations,. Bar was interesting and we'll maintained
Expert service and quality food! Perfect for a special occasion with friends or coworkers. A must try in Georgetown.
The waiter was not very personable and the reatuarant appeared understaffed
Love the waitress. She is extremely funny and kind.
Excellent food! My salmon was delicious! Friendly service. Casual atmosphere.
Great food, great location, great scones, friendly service!
Great service, great atmosphere, and great value. Place was busy but not loud or hectic. The host greeting was highly professional and helpful.
The waitress was quick as if we were being waited on in a fast food table. It’s a beer/burger place with many TVs. The salads was awful. Won’t go back.
Emma was our server and she was AWESOME!! She was friendly, she recommended drink and food items from the menu, and she was timely throughout our entire meal on the 22nd of March. We will definitely go to Ri Ra again.
Stopped in for a quick meal. Great beer/ drink selections. Food was great. Our server was Emma and she was great.
This pub is terrific. The ambiance is close to that in Dublin, if you can believe it. The beer offerings are immense and of course Guinness was served just right, with the perfect head, temperature and taste. We had several things from the dinner menu. Mine was a perfectly done burger. We shared a dessert, also great. There was no music during the visit and I look forward to it on the return. The schedule is published. The prices are more than reasonable for Georgetown. I have spend a lot of time in Ireland and can tell you that Ri Ra Georgetown is as close to the Irish pubs that I have seen in this country. I moved here from Boston about a year and a half ago, if that is any calibration. I had lived there 38 years. Enjoy Ri Ra - St. Paddy's Day is just around the corner. I wonder if they serve green beer?
Fish and chips was better than expected
We really enjoyed our meal at RiRa. Our server Olive was fantastic - a real professional. She offered suggestions from the menu and was SPOT ON! She also suggested other restaurants to try for other meals. We used OpenTable to make a reservation, which I recommend doing - especially on a Saturday night, as it was crowded. The entryway is a little cramped, so you don't want to have to wait there long. We sat at a high top near the bar. It was lively, but we were still able to have a conversation- not too loud. We will return on our next trip!
Love this pub. The best fish and chips in DC.
The Fried chicken with Mumbo sauce was amazing.. The other dished that was ordered was POT PIE, A burger and Curry Chicken we all loved our food. The signature drinks we Average.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Reservation was on time with no wait. Drinks were difficult to get before dinner because of the large crowd but the bartender did his best. Food was great with prompt table service.
Awesome Irish Pub in Georgetown! The food was delicious and the staff friendly and efficient. The Whiskey Bar is an experience and highly recommended.
Outstanding experience. Food was excellent. Great service. Had a great time. Will definitely be back.
Dubliner lamb burger is delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever had in DC, and I've been here for 35+ years.
Always a good time watching European soccer, even if your team loses.
Nice place for lunch or for a drink! Had the shepherds pie and it was delicious! I also had their hard cider and it was really good!
Best Fish and Chips this side of Dublin. Perfect atmosphere for watching games.
The fish and chips were delicious, as was the Irish coffee. Super staff too!
Service was good, but food was pretty sub-par.
Whiskey Room is fantastic.
My husband and I keep ending up at places this week where the wait staff struggles with the basics. Perhaps these are seasonal or holiday hires without any experience? First, I will say the fried chicken and fish is crispy and everyone in our party loved their tasty meals. The fellas watched some of the Clemson game and our seats were super comfortable, and we all felt cozy and enjoyed the atmosphere for a couples’ night out.
However, our waiter struggled. He tried to take our drink orders immediately after two people in our party of four left the table to wash their hands. He did not come back for a spell. All of our orders were correct, but the appetizer we ordered with our drinks came out after we received our entrees. In a nice move, management comped the app. I ordered the Fish and Chips, which should come with tartar sauce, but the sauce failed to come with the entree, so I asked for some. We ended up with an up-charge for “extra sauce” on our bill because of this. Our waiter didn’t visit our table very often, which is usually okay when we friends get together to gab, but this also meant empty water glasses and a lot of confusion on our waiter’s part when my husband finished his second and last beer- we leaned out of the booth to get his attention and ask for the checks, but the waiter, finally coming to the table, quickly told us my husband’s beer was on the way. We had to make very clear that the second beer had already arrived, been drunk, and we had not ordered another. It took a few rounds, but we finally got the checks. We did not dispute the 50 cent sauce surcharge because it wasn’t worth it at that point.
Server wasn't there best- attentive or seem to care that he was supposed to be serving.
Appetizer was good, would have been great if it had been hot.
Dinner was very good - hot and good portions.
Love to go and watch a premier league match on the weekends. Great Irish breakfast and friendly service.
It was great! You have to get the shepherds pie, it was really good. It’s also located right in the middle of all the shops so definitely go shop all day and finish your day at Ri Ra. They got us a table with no wait which was good because we were hungry and ready to sit down.
We were in the back room
We loved Ri Ra! It was a great place for a Christmas brunch. The French toast was absolutely amazing! We loved our food and loved the atmosphere.
We love Ri Ra! The food is reliably delicious, and the live music is a wonderful bonus. Love the vintage Irish posters on the walls as well!
There were three of us that came to Georgetown after seeing Zoo Lights and wanted to eat before walking around to see GT Glow. My husband’s salad was mediocre, my son’s chicken was not good and I had the worst cheeseburger I ever had. I swear it was a a frozen patty. And you charge $14 for it? The meal ended up costing over $80. (Yes that included 3 beers.) I will never eat here again. There are plenty of places to get an excellent fresh burger that tastes good and not like carnival fare.
Also the rest room was a mess. Toiletpaper all over the stall floors, one stall had no toilet paper at all and one of the soap dispensers was empty. Sure didn’t seem like a nice place in Georgetown on a Saturday evening. And why do bars have TVs on everywhere during dining hours?
Fantastic service and gorgeous pub. We had a great time and the food was wonderful. Perfect for a casual Saturday night meal before a show at the Kennedy Center. I was relieved It wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t have group conversations. Will definitely go again!
Visited Georgetown for a quick Christmas getaway. Found this little place on Open Table and really enjoyed our Saturday Brunch. We loved the Chicken and Waffles with Maple Honey Butter as well as the Eggs and Bangers & Rashers.
One of my favorite pubs in the area! Nice selection of food and great staff.
Overhead speakers blasting the band at mega-volume into the dining area are completely unnecessary and unwanted. Strained my voice trying to carry on a conversation. Leave the band sound on-stage where it belongs with an appropriately scaled PA for the venue. The audience can come to them if they are compelling enough. Otherwise, let the customers enjoy each others company and a Guinness or two.
