About Ri Ra Irish Pub - Georgetown
Rí Rá Georgetown is crafted in the warm pub style of 19th and early 20th century Ireland and custom-made with salvaged material straight from Ireland. Each rescued artifact has been carefully restored in County Wicklow, a scenic area just south of Dublin, and then shipped to Georgetown. We offer an impressive line-up of traditional Irish music & cultural events, a comprehensive drink list and fare that defies pub standards.

Ri Ra Irish Pub - Georgetown Ratings and Reviews
Ri Ra was a good choice for an out-of-town group who likes beer! We didn't get a chance to try the whiskey bar. Food was inconsistent--The burgers were good, but the shepherd's pie was not - very disappointing for an Irish pub. Fish was terrific, but onion rings were so greasy they were inedible. Wait staff were friendly, but orders were wrong (may not have been their fault). Would have been fun to hear a live band on a Saturday night, but they weren't scheduled until 11 pm... way too late for an out of town group.
We eat a vegan diet and at lots of restaurants it's hard to find something "interesting" on the menu to eat other than a simple salad. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the RiRa menu has a few options for vegetarians/vegans, so I give them credit for that! The Brussel sprout salad was really good.
A group of us got together and met at this spot for dinner on a Saturday. Decently crowded but luckily we had a reservation so we had a seat instantly. Food was great, my only complaint would be they forgot our appetizers and were brought out with our dinner, which was disappointing. Our server was very nice but seemed scattered and would forget our beers, etc. Decent place over all!
Mixed review. The staff was welcoming, service was very attentive. Our appetizer order of the bangers was really tasty. The basil calamari sounded interesting, but while it was light and crispy, it was a disappointment because it had no basil flakes nor basil flavor and we ordered it because it was described differently then traditional fried calamari. Our group of 3 had the pulled pork Cuban, the shepherds pie and the beef ribs. All three meals were just ok. The shepherds pie was swimming in the herb gravy, and the mashed potatoes on top were soft, not browned. The beef on the ribs did fall off the bone, but the meat was more blackened and tough then tender and BBQ glazed, although the sides of sweet potato mash and grilled asparagus were good. We finished with the chocolate mousse which was decent. Two things to note - my husband and I were already seated when my 21 year old son met us at the restaurant. When he arrived (at 7pm) he was carded by the bouncer at the door. He told the bouncer he was just there for dinner and the bouncer said it didn't matter. I am not sure what would have happened if he wasn't 21 - perhaps we would have had to retrieve him at the door? And second, I ordered a glass of Cabernet but our waitress misheard what I ordered and brought me a Chardonnay instead. When I pointed out that I ordered the Cabernet she immediately said she would bring the correct glass, and to keep the Chardonnay as well with no charge. I appreciated this gesture. The service then and throughout the evening really was top-notch.
They're right when they say they were voted for best fish and chips in DC - it was fabulous - reminds me of fish in chips I have in Australia. My friend had the fish and chips - but I got to try some. I had the best avocado on bread with tomatoes and goat cheese - it was delicious. Very friendly Irish wait-staff we chatted to for quite awhile, and fabulous charity cocktail - $6 with $2 going to charity (their regular cocktails were about $12). Highly recommend.
Wow! EVERY single thing we ordered was DELICIOUS! We started out with a couple appetizers and decided to make it our supper so ordered a few more. Everyone at the table shared everything so we were able to have a bite or two of about 8 different appetizers. Honestly I can't even pick a favorite because they were ALL SOOOO GOOD!! Very impressed with food, service and cocktails! Decided to go back the next day because of the great experience.
Pretty snazzy for an Irish Pub. I really loved the décor. My husband and I will definitely be back with some friends who are Irish Whiskey lovers. The selection is AMAZING! The menu is very limited, but the dishes were yummy. The service was very friendly and quick.
My family and I went here for both Easter and Mother's Day brunch. It wasn't busy at all but we made reservations just in case. The menu is nice for either breakfast or lunch. My mom had the Avocado Smash which she absolutely loved. We would definitely return.
