Terrible service. Couldnt get server. Took hour for appetizers and when we got the hostess to find our server all the food was cold.
We went to RiRa's before a concert thinking that 1 1/2 hours should be plenty of time to allow to make it on time. Service was incredibly slow, it took forever to get our food and when we did finally get served everything was cold. The group at the table next to us got tired of waiting and left before the food came so they could get to the concert. They ran out of sweet potato fries and gave us regular soggy fries instead; took 30 minutes to get ketchup! Not a good experience.
Made a reservation at RiRa before a concert at the Spectrum Arena. The food was outstanding, although the service could have been better. Took a while to get the food. Drink order was wrong. The server brought the correct drink order after we pointed out the error and let us keep the incorrect drink without charging us. Overall, I would go back.
Awesome environment, very friendly staff, and delicious food! Lamb burger was to die for!
Good beer, great atmosphere and food was very good!
Didnt disappoint me. Nicely done!! Nice atmos, service, descent drink selection.
We love coming to Ri Ra because of its authentic vibe, tasty cuisine, and whiskey punch!
Excellent service and excellent food. Jonathan Murphy did a great job. It was the first time we met him.
I was very disappointed this visit to RiRa. The service was VERY slow and inefficient and they were not busy at all. We had to ask for utensils. My meal, the pork chop was dry and the potatoes room temp. The manager only took off $3.25 of my meal. It was not worth bringing home for a leftover meal.
There was a couple that had arrived before us and we got our meals before them. They ended up leaving before their meals came out. Good for them!! Bad for RiRa!!
Again, I am very disappointed. We love to visit our Irish roots every now and again. It will be some time before we return, if ever.
Six of us went during my sister’s bachelorette weekend because she wanted something fun, but not excessively fancy, over-priced, or wild. We arrived around 7:15pm on a Saturday night before heading to a comedy show. It was perfect. Everyone was able to relax, have a good time, try something different and delicious, and maintain focus on the bride. She and her fiancé have been getting into scotches and whiskeys lately, and one of the bartenders took the time to come out from behind the bar and over to our table to help guide her toward her selection without trying to up-sell to the most expensive options. Each staff member we interacted with seemed happy to be there, patient with our questions and indecision, and educated. Every element of my lamb burger was AMAZING, my Guinness was perfectly poured, and I hope to go back soon to share the experience with others and enjoy a Green Spot.
Such a great sandwich. And all
If the staff were very friendly and attentive.
This last day of Paddyfest had very energetic Irish dancing by a wonderful group of young ladies in beautiful costumes! The entertainment made the birthday celebration worthwhile. While the food was good the service was slow. Two of us had the Irish Benedict and that was good. The mimosas were very good.
Food was good but average for the price ($6 for two extremely small scones for brunch when you can get larger ones cheaper at Starbucks or Amelie’s). If you’re here for drinks, it’s a good place and environment but for food, better to go elsewhere in the city.
We had an incredible time celebrating St. Patrick Day at Ri Ra Irish Pub. The food was wonderful and the cocktails were perfect. The staff was awesome even in the middle of that huge party. Loved everything
I highly recommend. This is one class act establishment. Very friendly staff, the food is amazing, the atmosphere as well was conducive of a great pub.
St. Patty’s Day - fantastic music, festive atmosphere, creative drink specials. What better place to be?!;)
We’re in town to see the NCAA games on Friday and needed a place close to Spectrum to eat between games. Is conveniently located just 3 blocks away. Good food and beer. Staff very friendly, especially even when the place was packed. Definitely recommend to friends and family whenever we return to the Charlotte area.
My husband and I stumbled upon this place as we were visiting Charlotte for the weekend celebrating our anniversary and wanted a place for brunch. We didn’t realize their was an important rugby match and their were many people there already a little after opening.
Regardless, we received great service and the food was amazing. I loved that they went above and beyond for those wanted to watch the rugby game with a projector and nice size screen in the main area.
I absolutely loved this place and plan on coming when I can in future visits to Charlotte.
Came for the 6 nations match. Our breakfast and Guinness were awesome. So was the service. Plus Ireland won.
My husband and I have made many trips to Ireland, and we enjoy its food, fun, and Smithwick's ale on tap -- all things we also are able to enjoy at Ri Ra. We have always had good service at Ri Ra, but this visit it was especially good. I recently developed some peculiar dietary needs, and Ellen, our server, did her best to understand those needs and to suggest menu items that would meet them. In the end, Ellen suggested something that was not on the menu but that met my desire for something that was delicious, special, and within my dietary restrictions. Thank you so much, Ellen!
Always a pleasure coming to the pub! Staff and all are the best as usual. Never a problem.
We had requested on our Open table reservations, to have them sing to our twins. When we got there I reminded the hostess. She said she would say something to the manager. We still had to find the waiter to get him to bring two desserts, but the singing never happened. Disappointed, especially since there was a place for special requests when we made reservations.
Best fish and chips ever! Also one of the few places that understands a shandy and how to get it right. We really enjoyed our pre-theater meal.
The fish and chips are fantastic!
Had a table 'held' for 6pm but didn't get seated until 6:40. Food was good but not extraordinary. Had a Guinness essential and it was ice cold which is way to cold for a proper Guinness.
Awesome as always!! A real favorite!!
Our main issue is that we had a reservation for a large number of people and when we arrived we were ignored for about 10 minutes by the hostess and then after confirming we had a reservation, the hostess informed us that they had no tables for a group our size. We were very frustrated because we made a reservation knowing it would be hard to seat all of us easily as a walk in. I was disappointed.
So convenient to grab a bite before a show! The theater is 2 blocks away! Made a res. through Open Table . Glad we had because it’s a busy bar! The tables are all bar height so not the comfiest but the place has a nice atmosphere and service! Food was OK, nothing to write home to Ireland about but surprisingly good value , especially for uptown. Meal for two with two drinks each was only $60!
The food was great. Our server, Tom, was very good and knowledgeable about the menu.
Food was fantastic. Would recommend the fish and chips. Service was good. The only problem we experienced was the noise level was not conducive to a date.
Great location and service.
Very authentic looking pub. Granddaughter loved the French toast, my burger wasn't the best I've ever had. Ordered medium well and after a real long wait it came out very rare!! Waitress was extremely slow.
Great experience all around. Veggie burger was amazing! I had the cucumber and radish salad as a side and it was fresh and delicious. Loved that there were many vegetarian options as well as clean grass fed beef and Icelandic fish. Great atmosphere and service. Will be back to try the fish (haddock) and chips.
Overall a very good experience. Host was having to clear tables to seat patrons. She did not seem to have any help. Otherwise the food was good and the server was nice.
A friend and I met here for a pre-theater dinner, primarily for the easy access to the theater on a snowy evening. We were seated by the cosy fireplace, which lent a lovely atmosphere to our dining experience. I was favorably impressed that the Pub was quiet, making it easy to enjoy conversation with my dinner partner.
We chose to share a starter of Traditional Potato Cakes, which were served with sour cream and a bit of mixed greens and balsamic reduction. The cakes were divine... I would return just to savor them again!
As our mains, my friend chose the haddock fillet, which was a very generous portion, accompanied by house made tartar sauce and hand cut fries. My choice was the Irish Cider Glazed Pork Chop with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. I must confess the mashed potatoes were not creamy as described in the menu. In fact, they were very dry, disappointing after experiencing the super creamy potato cheese cakes!
Our server was attentive and provided friendly, efficient service throughout our dinner. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our Irish dining experience, and are eager to return to sample more menu selections on offer.
We meet friends from Tampa relocating to Charlotte, NC what a great time indeed.
Was accepting reservations in opentable but when we arrived for our reserved time they said they didn't accept reservations and so we were not able to be seated.
Service was slow, I had Corned Beef & Cabbage. The Cabbage was cold and the Corned Beef was tough. It was a busy Saturday night. Nice atmosphere and upbeat mood. Would probably go again just for the convenience to the Symphony
As a group of six, in a booth in the bar area, we had an excellent time, great service & very good food. Our waiter was friendly and perfectly attentive and great at anticipating so we were never left wanting for anything for a second. The fish of the Fish & Chips was excellent. The fries could have been a bit crispier for my taste but everyone seemed to enjoy them well enough, so no harm. Hadn’t been in a long time but will be back very soon.
