Fantastic time right before the Elton John concert! Food and service was great, and they were very aware we had a time frame due to the concert. We got there early but they were ready for us, and we never felt rushed.
We had a pre-concert dinner here (Elton John was in town) for 5 pm reservations. Restaurant was quiet and uncrowded when we arrived but by 5:30 it was full and lively. Our table was upstairs. Our server was outstanding. She was warm and personable and so professional. I had several questions about ingredients and she answered them all. She was quick to take our order and always kept us updated on the status of our food. We didn’t have to wait long for anything. Husband’s fish and chips were great and obviously made fresh. My corned beef and cabbage was also good altho the cabbage wedge wasn’t grilled as long as I liked. Portions were quite large. We each had a couple of Guinness drafts which were poured properly and reminded us that we need to go back to Ireland again for a lengthy visit. Ambiance was loud and lively but not annoying. We enjoyed our dinner here and hope to return again soon.
The food was a little too expensive.
Took way tooooooo long for our server to serve our table. Our drinks and food took forever to arrive. We had to flag down another server to get our server so we could find out why it was taking so long. The place was empty except for a party in the back on a Sunday evening. No excuse for such poor service. The steak lettuce wrap appetizer was tough and unedible. Sent it back. Manager was very accommodating but we ran out of time to order something else. Won’t be returning!
We had great service paired with excellent food and drink. Wonderful experience all-around.
Friendly service, casual seating outside on the deck upstairs. All that was just fine. Had the Dubliner burger, lamb burger. Got the side salad with it and that was good and fresh. Burger was OK. My companion got the shaved brussels sprouts salad with salmon as an add-on. Pretty skimpy salmon portion. Could not have been more than 4 ounces. Location is good if you’re heading to a show at the Blumenthal and don’t want to drop a fortune at the fancier restaurants in uptown.
The service was good although she had too many tables at once. The food changed, the Kilee chicken was dry and was placed on top of a cabbage bacon with mashed potatoes, the sauce didn’t have enough lemon- that was a surprise that they changed the vegetables, my other partners burger was over cooked and what looked like a child’s burger had we not mentioned it to them they wouldn’t have said anything but when we said something they said they were out of the original size and we were going to pay full price until we said something so they took $2 off. We have been going for birthday luncheons and lunch meeting and we were always pleased but it was such a disappointment because it was our favorite place to go. I sure wish they would have left the chicken dish alone that was the best.
I know it was a sunday night but they were out of pretzels and corn beef. So I could not have a rueben or corn beef and cabbage. Thats like a staple in an irish pub. But other than that it was good.
It took over an hour to get our food. They had only a limited menu before a show at Spectrum, and it still took over an hour. Pub Burger was less than a 1/4 lb of meat. I actually suspect it was a frozen burger. One person in my party never got his food b/c the waitress ran into the food runner, and we were unable to wait for a new order because we were going to the show. And when I say she ran, I mean she literally was sprinting across the restaurant & ran into him. There was no one in the restaurant. The manager didn't have much to say, but he did take a good bit off of the bill, but honestly, Ri Ra. Terrible
Don’t go there if a concert is in town. Limited menu. Several items sold out early.
Waitress said nachos would be piled high. Lots of carnitas. They came cold and a mess. So cold the cheese was dried up ! Service terrible. Took 15 minutes for a beer. Plus we looked online at the menu prior. Got there and had to pick from a limited menu. Won’t be back.
We go there quite often and have never been disappointed. Food and service are always exceptional.
Food was delish. Service was quick and efficient. Enjoyed everything.
Most pleasant with great service and relaxed feeling!
Food quality was very disappointing. My daughter’s chicken was over cooked and yet cold. Wife’s shepherds pie was not seasoned, and my steak tips were raw.
Overall service was very slow.
The menu was not as impressive this time as the menu last year.
Menu difficult to read. Mashed potatoes were cold. The place looks worn.
My wife and I went to Ni Na for a pre show dinner. Though we had an Opentable reservation we still had to wait 10 minutes for our table. The Shepherds Pie was good and the Fish and Chips were very good. Our server, Teela, was excellent! She was very attentive, friendly and provided great menu suggestions making us feel like valued customers.
What a fun place for a group! We sat upstairs. Lots of character and charm. I had the pub burger and it was delicious. Others had the fish and chips and said it was great. Service was also great!
We just happened to make our reservation on the same evening Alan Jackson was in town, and Ri Ra was jammed packed with concert goers. It was fun see all the cowboys and cowgirls dressed for the concert! Our table was available on time, but not before Roman poured us a picture perfect glass of Guinness! Ahhh! Our server was really on point, even with the soccer games earlier in the day and all the concert people in the early evening. We ordered our usual, the fish and chips - best fish and chips to be found this side of the pond! Thanks Ri Ra...keep serving great food with great service!
We enjoyed a great meal at Ri Ra - our meals were delicious! The menu was a bit smaller than we anticipated but it offered a wide variety of dishes. The potato cakes appetizer was really awesome! Our server was attentive and made great recommendations for beverages. We'll look forward to visiting again!
Make reservation for 8 several days in advance - when we arrived on time, they acted like they didn't know anything about a reservation.
They begrudgingly got a table for 4 set up - I had to tell them again that our reservation was for 8.
The hostess was not happy or cordial.
Service and food was average - we won't go back.
We had a large group and everyone said they enjoyed their food. The food came out pretty much at once, which is difficult for a big group. Service was great; outstanding value. Thanks!
Had our table ready right on time as I requested! Thanks to the hostess!
Nice place for a weeknight meal. Atmosphere was really cool. I had the pork chop which was a little drier than I'd have liked but still good.
I LOVE this place! Bar is literally from Northern Ireland. All food is exceptional. Crystal that waited on us was very knowledgable about the foods, components, beers, etc. will definitely return.
Great food. The entire staff was very accommodating to the variety of ages in our party.
The food was delicious with a nice selection of drinks.
I have been going around to the Irish places in Charlotte, and this one probably has the best atmosphere. The food was very good (Pub Poutine was excellent, Lamb stew was good), but was a bit more pricey than some of the other places I've tried. Overall, definitely worth going, you won't be disappointed.
Lunch with co-workers on a Friday afternoon was a very pleasant experience from greeting upon arrival to the end of our visit. The food was great, perfect lunch portions, well prepared and presented beautifully. We will definitely go back for another Friday lunch break!
First night in Charlotte and we wanted to find a cool place to eat a nice meal. Although I made reservations (not knowing if we even need them or not) the place was practically empty. We were seated across from the hostess counter by the window and stair steps leading to the upstairs bar. We were very disappointed our table wasn’t inside where everyone else was. I would think if you were to seat someone st this table you would ask if it would be fine. Food was ok but no real problems. Our waitress was nice but pushy. She removed our plates without asking if we were finished. Maybe our experience would’ve been different if we had a table “inside” the restaurant and not in the hallway.
Food was great! Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back!
The noise level was loud due to Arsenal fans prior to the ICC match the next day so that is not a negative. Great atmosphere and dining experience.
First time there. Food, service was outstanding noise level a little high. But we were fairly close to the bar. We will definitely be back.😁
RiRa good as always. My husband loves the fish and chips. He devoured it, but the chips (fries) were soggy. The Kikree chicken good, nice garlicky sauce. They were out of Guinness blonde. We walk over after the matinee at Belk Theatre and will be back.
Whenever we venture downtown we eat at RiRa. The food is good and the atmosphere is just great.
Service was very good! 👍🏻
We were there celebrating my dad and had great service and food.
We have eaten at RiRa's previously and had a great experience for a large group. This time, we had a party of four and had a mediocre experience. The host wanted to seat us an odd U shaped booth at the end of the bar. We asked for another option and got seated in the back which was more quiet and better for visiting with our friends. Our waitress was not very enthusiastic about making menu suggestions nor did she seem to know the menu very well. The food was pretty good and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal, but the staff seemed a little 'off' on this particular Sunday evening. This wouldn't stop me from recommending the restaurant. It has personality and is very convenient to Blumenthal.
Severe storm delayed us, so we called to ask to push back out reservation by 1 hour and Jonathan could not have been more gracious about it. Out waitress was wonderful, she knew our time was limited and served us very quickly. My husband loves the Shepherd's Pie, and again it did not disappoint. Lovely spot uptown, very close to light rail station, Spectrum and Blumenthal.
