Ri Ra Irish Pub - Charlotte

I LOVE this place! Bar is literally from Northern Ireland. All food is exceptional. Crystal that waited on us was very knowledgable about the foods, components, beers, etc. will definitely return.
Great food. The entire staff was very accommodating to the variety of ages in our party.
The food was delicious with a nice selection of drinks.
I have been going around to the Irish places in Charlotte, and this one probably has the best atmosphere. The food was very good (Pub Poutine was excellent, Lamb stew was good), but was a bit more pricey than some of the other places I've tried. Overall, definitely worth going, you won't be disappointed.
Lunch with co-workers on a Friday afternoon was a very pleasant experience from greeting upon arrival to the end of our visit. The food was great, perfect lunch portions, well prepared and presented beautifully. We will definitely go back for another Friday lunch break!
First night in Charlotte and we wanted to find a cool place to eat a nice meal. Although I made reservations (not knowing if we even need them or not) the place was practically empty. We were seated across from the hostess counter by the window and stair steps leading to the upstairs bar. We were very disappointed our table wasn’t inside where everyone else was. I would think if you were to seat someone st this table you would ask if it would be fine. Food was ok but no real problems. Our waitress was nice but pushy. She removed our plates without asking if we were finished. Maybe our experience would’ve been different if we had a table “inside” the restaurant and not in the hallway.
Food was great! Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back!
The noise level was loud due to Arsenal fans prior to the ICC match the next day so that is not a negative. Great atmosphere and dining experience.
First time there. Food, service was outstanding noise level a little high. But we were fairly close to the bar. We will definitely be back.😁
RiRa good as always. My husband loves the fish and chips. He devoured it, but the chips (fries) were soggy. The Kikree chicken good, nice garlicky sauce. They were out of Guinness blonde. We walk over after the matinee at Belk Theatre and will be back.
Whenever we venture downtown we eat at RiRa. The food is good and the atmosphere is just great.
Service was very good! 👍🏻
We were there celebrating my dad and had great service and food.
We have eaten at RiRa's previously and had a great experience for a large group. This time, we had a party of four and had a mediocre experience. The host wanted to seat us an odd U shaped booth at the end of the bar. We asked for another option and got seated in the back which was more quiet and better for visiting with our friends. Our waitress was not very enthusiastic about making menu suggestions nor did she seem to know the menu very well. The food was pretty good and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal, but the staff seemed a little 'off' on this particular Sunday evening. This wouldn't stop me from recommending the restaurant. It has personality and is very convenient to Blumenthal.
Severe storm delayed us, so we called to ask to push back out reservation by 1 hour and Jonathan could not have been more gracious about it. Out waitress was wonderful, she knew our time was limited and served us very quickly. My husband loves the Shepherd's Pie, and again it did not disappoint. Lovely spot uptown, very close to light rail station, Spectrum and Blumenthal.
Absolutely! Loved the food and the ambiance. Chose the wrong day as World Cup Soccer was on and there were lots of fans, so a little bit noisy (but understandable!). Otherwise, it was completely awesome.
Unfortunately, despite the fact we were super excited to try this place, we left extremely disappointed. We didn’t even order our main course until an hour after we had gotten there. We felt like the waitress kept forgetting us. In addition, she put in the wrong drink order multiple times for us, didn’t check on us at all, we will never go back. Drinks were also very inconsistent, we ordered the same drink and it would come out completely different then the first time it was made. I’ve been to restaurants and not have had the best experience, but honestly this was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’m very bummed.
Fathers Day, it was a great experience ! The Sheppard’s pie was delicious.
Everything was outstanding. Our Server, Amanda, was great. They were out of a few beer options, but she was able to find one we liked. We really enjoyed the fish and chips. It was fresh and prepared to perfection. The tartar sauce was very good. We'll be back!
The food was very good, service good as well. The seats were way too low to be comfortable and even though I made a reservation in advance I was not able to sit at a more comfortable table. The restaurant was too noisy for me but it is a pub so to be expected.
Great authentic food. Service was good but had to wait for drinks and had empty glasses for too long.
Traditional Irish Pub feel. Service was good, food was ok.
Very good indeed highly recommend frequent visitor to this place
Every thing was really good as far as the food. The service could have been better, one person order an apitiser and it took almost an hours to get to her. Me and two other guest had ordered a meal and had gotten them and finished befor hers got to the table. When it came it was craker and a variety of sliced meat and cheese. When the band started to play they were so load that the part of the var we were sitting in was empty in about 2 min. The only reason we were still thier was we were waiting for the bill. These are the reasons I was not happy with my experience at Ri Ra pub.
We had a late afternoon family reservation for 9 on Mother’s Day. We were seated upstairs, which suited everyone, especially the kids.
The food was delicious, as usual. Our patient server gave our large table 3 servings of chocolate desserts to celebrate the moms. Every employee we encountered was kind and helpful. I will always suggest Ri Ra’s.
They were very understaffed. So the Mothers day experience that we went for just wasn't there . Our food came out cold and my husbands order got lost so he didn't even get to eat with us . The bartenders didn't even know the prices of drinks that they were advertising. Tried charging us $8 for mimosas that were advertised on the bar at $5 . When we pointed this out they seemed disturbed we noticed . The whole place just had a chaotic vibe . They were suppose to have Irish music and dancers , dancers were upstairs were no one was , and no music at all .
Good food. Fun atmosphere. A little loud, but expected.
Service was a little slow, but was Mother's Day lunchtime, so not surprising.
Had a good time!
Service was horrible. Waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged. It was a Saturday night around 6:30 and the place was dead? Food was decent though. They are struggling with service which could be the reason no one was there on a sat evening
We went based on the website saying the full menu would be an option and it wasn't.
We had a lovely visit. The food and ambiance were exceptional and we will definitely be back.
I love the atmosphere and the staff was great but our table tilted and the cold air was blasting at us.
Service was horrible. Received Half of our appetizers after our entree arrived. The other half we never received. No knowledge of beer, or even which beers they carried. Very dark with uncomfortable seating.
Tasty food. Theatre partner (-10% For Blumenthal theatre attendees w tickets!), nice servers, Smithwicks on tap,
Service was great, food was delicious. Great place to eat!
Once we arrived, the reservation made through Open Table, was not in their system. They were, however, able to seat us quickly. I ordered a cider that was on the menu, but they were out of it, so I chose another one; which, on it's face, is not a big deal; however, when my husband ordered a Budweiser Reserve, she brought him a regular Budweiser. He pointed out to her that it was not a Reserve, and her response was, "it is the Budweiser we have" and walked off, leaving it on the table. The food was adequate, but nothing special, and the service was very slow. A manager stopped by to ask how things were and we shared the Budweiser story, so he took it away, but it still managed to find its way to our bill. I pointed that out and she removed the charge, but was very curt in responding to us after that exchange.
My daughter and I were going to a concert yet wanted some IRISH food/ drink.... this place was amazing. Wood from Ireland, authentic Irish dishes, i could go on and on but instead will return.
The food is always amazing there! I have tried almost every dish and every single one of them has been so great so never disappointed.
Me and my family were celebrating my birthday. We had an experience, what I am hoping was an off night with newer workers. The waiter seemed occupied with her other tables and not really wanting to come over to us and the bartender had to have been new because she was a bit lost. Over all I am calling this an off night and although we didnt end up eatting we would come back and hope to try again.
We went here for lunch as part of a team meeting. The food is fabulous, the staff was attentive but not overbearing and the atmosphere was great for lunch. The walk was just a few short blocks and it was a beautiful but chilly day so we walked outside but could have walked inside most of the wAY. You can't beat the fish and chips or shepards pie. The pretzel bites and spinach artichoke dip was enough for our party of 8 to share and very tasty.
