Ri Ra Irish Pub - Atlanta
Dinner: Sunday -Wednesday: 4:00pm - 12:00am (kitchen closes 10pm),
Thursday: 4:00pm -2:30am (kitchen closes 10pm),
Friday -Saturday: 4:00pm -2:30am (Kitchen closes 11pm)
A nice local Irish pub but food was average at best.
Went for our anniversary before seeing ET with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra — R Ra’s was perfect..right up our alley 🙂
The noise level was so loud that we had to set outside in order to hear ourselves talk.
Super slow service. Server took one drink order and went to get that drink before asking everyone else at the table if they wanted anything. She seemed more interested in talking to the hostess. Fish and chips had NO flavor- no spices! And I find it hard to feel like I'm at an irish pub while there's rap music playing....
This was my second visit both following Tech football game. It's a great place to gather with friends. This is a great place to watch college football. The beer selection is very good and the food is tasty as well. The fish and chips were outstanding and my wife's chicken dish was awesome.
decent food, but not crowded and super slow service.
Very friendly staff. Ordered peach cobbler for desert. Manager noticed they were out on ice cream and went out personally to buy some.
Three out of our four meals were disappointing, the AC was too high and service was very slow.
Food was not good. BBQ chicken wings, fries, and onion rings were ok. However, a pita sandwich and BBQ pork sandwich were not good. I would not recommend this place for food. After i left the place, i asked myself, why did i pay for the food that we got? The main driver behind meeting up with my friend here was location, which is great. Otherwise, people (customer service) were nice and friendly. They just need to improve on the kitchen game.
Maybe it’s just me, but when I walk into an Irish pub I want to hear Irish music. I can hear piped-in pop rubbish anywhere.
In town for work. Love pubs. Thought I'd check out RiRa with a friend. Everything was pretty awesome. Had a reservation. Got seated quickly. Super friendly guy checked us in (it was his first day).. the food was awesome. I had the cottage pie and I loved it. The only negative was I think there was miscommunication with the waitresses and they left us for like 20 minutes. No drinks. No food. No "hello". Nothing... we finally had to ask for help. Once they realized we were there- it was a pretty easy and good night.
We were just looking for a quick dinner and the food and price was very reasonable.
Nice neighborhood pub for good food at a very reasonable price. Actually, it's exceptionally well priced when you consider the neighborhood, quality and good portion size. Overall, nice pub in a nice neighborhood.
Decent food that took a long time to come does not make up for horrible service
We waited over an hour for our food. A table that arrived 20 minutes after us received their food 15 minutes before us. We had to ask a shift manager about our food. We received it cold. Our server was almost nonexistent. Shift manager discounted our entire meal, still was not worth what we paid.
I have been here before with my husband and have hade great service and great food. I took my parents and a dear friend for her 80th birthday, after which we went to see Hamilton. I described the ambiance, food and our past experiences. I was left looking like a fool. The menu completely changed for the worse. An Irish Pub with only a few Irish meals???? What happened to Bangers and Mash?? Appetizer list had the worst change, I don’t think there was an Irish item at all.
Really good spot for a business lunch! Location is very good. The service was excellent. Great appetizers and entrees on the menu. Overall good energy and atmosphere. I give Ri Ra a strong recommendation.
Staying in the Mid-Town Atlanta area, we found this restaurant while walking around. We stopped by for late lunch/early dinner before heading our for the evening elsewhere.
Since we stopped by on a Sunday at about 4:45pm, the place was not crowded at all. We were seated immediately and were able to get a table outside the restaurant.
Our waitress was so nice and super speedy with drink orders and food orders - this was probably because it was not yet crowded - so we lucked out!
We did the traditional pub fare - burgers! They were great - real big and juicy.
I had the Guinness BBQ Burger. It is a big burger, so have your appetite ready.
I imagine when the crowd gets going, the bar area must be a great place to hang out. Maybe we will try that next time.
Anyway, this was a great place for a casual meal. I can't say what the service is like when the place is real busy, but if you go during the "in between" time, you will enjoy yourself.
Being a Boston native and having maternal grandparents who were immigrants from Ireland I was expecting something Irish. First of all it was about 100 degrees inside the pub. Apparently their A/C was not working 100%. The food was good, the beer ok ... a few we ordered were not in stock. And the music/band .... there was nothing Irish about the band or their music. I have been to several Irish Pubs across this country and you always felt like you were in a pub in some town in Ireland. This place you did not. Very disappointed.
Incredible setting and wonderful service. I will definitely return again. Go Five Stripes!
Our waitress and the other staff were great
Nice place. Had fun. Drinks were a little pricey for the quality but not bad. Cool place!
By 6:30 on a Monday night, the bar side of Ri Ra was lively and nearly full. We had a very good Shepherd's Pie and Grilled Fish Tacos and an excellent Shaved Sprout Salad. Ri Ra has a great variety of draft and bottled beers (both Irish and other) and broad array of Irish whiskeys. We had the Guiness Foreign Extra Stout and the Glendalough 12yr, very tasty and not seen in most bars.
Cute place with good food
We were celebrating our daughter's good experience at an audition and stopped in for dinner. Our server (Rob?) was very attentive and welcoming to our 10-year-old, which you don't always find in pub. We expected them to have more beer varieties on draught, but they did have several good bottled selections. My daughter and I had the fish and chips, which was excellent; my husband had the Reuben, which he really enjoyed. The atmosphere was standard Irish tavern without being too dark. The noise level was moderate, but it started to pick up at about nine pm as we were leaving. I imagine the live band would add considerably to the din, but it must be great fun.
My wife and two sons went for lunch. We made a 12:30 pm reservation and were seated right away. We ordered within five minutes of being seated. Our order did not come until approximately 1:20 pm. The same was true for the tables seated immediately before and after us. The table of two next to us, who arrived about 15 minutes after us, finally left before getting their order. We would have left except we did not have time to start our lunch process over. We were not given any idea that there would be a delay until approximately 30 minutes into our wait, at which time we were told the kitchen was backed up because of a table for 15. The wait was long and unacceptable, but not being made aware of the wait during a lunch (after which I had to return to work and the rest of my family had a planned outing) was the part that was truly unacceptable. They did "reduce" the bill some although I think a free meal would have been appropriate. If we were made aware of the potential wait, we could have made numerous other plans. This had less to do with the server (who remained attentive during the wait).
Really lovely pub with a wide selection of Irish whiskey. Amiable, efficient service and Brilliant Irish breakfast shared with Irish visitors! Excellent homemade soda bread too. We’ll be back!
Great food! Service was a little slow, but it was busy.
It was very quiet in the restaurant, service was good, food is good and drinks are a good value
This was my first time to RiRa and will be going back for sure! The decor is very authentic-looking and the food is great! I had the chicken breast with lemon caper sauce. I wish I could get the recipe! Our service was good, but the lights were so low we used our phone flashlights to read the menu. The light thing isn't a huge deal at all since the food was the bomb!!
We picked this place for it's location and style of food; we were not disappointed. The service was good and it was not packed, for a Saturday night in Midtown. We ordered a mix of appetizers, sides, and dishes. Although the waitress could have been a bit more attentive, especially since it wasn't busy, we really enjoyed our time there and may return for a date night. The shaved brussel sprouts we're delightful along with the Sheppard's pie.
I will preface this first by stating that I am not a big fan of Irish Pub food to begin with. Ri Ra is another pub that is hyped as being the place to go but my visit was uninspiring. The limited menu is over priced and the quality of the food was average at best. My turkey sandwich was dry and needed more cranberry sauce to moisten it. I stayed away from the Irish food because there was nothing on the menu that seemed exciting and I have a hard time paying $15 for corned beef and cabbage. It is peasant food, not lords food, after all. The French fries were subpar and cold almost instantly. This leads me to believe that the food sat in the window too long before being delivered to the table. No one else at my table was impressed by there food either and my daughter thought the price paid for a very small serving of Shepherds Pie was outrageous. The service started with a very unfriendly girl at the front desk who informed us that our table was in the back of the room as she looked over the top of her phone. What the hell has happened in this country when you can stare at your phone while working. I really wanted to rip into her because I had read reviews that stated the service was unfriendly and poor. Our server seemed to be just passing the time. He didn't write anything done and his memory failed him because I ordered onion rings and was served fries. I won't be back for the food.
meh. it sounded better online than what it actually was. a sports bar. with bar food. and servers who can barely be bothered to answer a question. wouldn't return, but we were looking for something close to the fox theatre. will not return.
I've been to Ri Ra many times before and been very satisfied. This was not one of those visits. The food was just ok. I had Shepherd's pie, a dish I've had there on several occasions, and it missed the mark tonight...very dry and lacking in flavor. No one's food was particularly good.
Unfortunately for us as well, our server was terrible. I'm uncertain if perhaps he wasn't feeling well that night, but he was off from the beginning. Zero personality. Few check ups on his table (there were 12 of us). Once it was time to go, every single check was wrong. We corrected him and he brought each check back wrong again. A coupon was handed to him and he proceeded to leave it on the table and walk away...I had to chase him. I'm a former server as well as a former restaurant manager and I understand that everyone can have an off day once in a while, but this was ROUGH.
I brought a large group here for a birthday celebration and we all left underwhelmed. As I have had multiple great experiences at Ri Ra, I am not dissuaded this time from returning, but I hope this is not the new normal.
Aoife was a great server - fun and attentive. Made my fathers day that much better!
It is rather a sport bar. Lot of people were getting eccited by a succer game.
Boisterous crowd watching a soccer game. Live music. Crowd participation. Great atmosphere
Excellent food and service. A little noisy during soccer games, but that is the fun!
Arrived to an incompetent front of the house staff who with only a half full restaurant spent 15 minutes deciding on where they were going to seat our party of six. The waitress was completely disinterested in making us happy. Drinks went empty for way too long and in general the food was mediocre.
Do not trust any gluten-free statements made by the menu or staff.
I had a reservation that was denied at the restaurant, I love a lively bar/restaurant, but the inside was so loud it was entirely impossible to talk, we were taken to the tables outside only to discover there weren't any available tables. We were then seated along the outside the restaurant at a lonely table literally on the sidewalk. We ordered food and were later told they switched from the dinner menu to the late night menu so we had to order again, we ordered drinks only to be told two or three times that they were out after a long wait each time. I don't blame the server, he was a very sweet guy, it was the running of the restaurant itself that was upsetting. Outside was cold, the food was cold, and it wasn't the experience I had anticipated. I loved RiRa in the past, but this past visit was awful and I don't think I will be back.
Wow! We had great food and a wonderful experience. We were there during happy hour, sonit was quite loud. Once happy hour ended, the ambiance was more succeptable to conversation.
