About Ri Ra Irish Pub - Atlanta
Rí Rá- Atlanta is the complete personification of everything Irish. The bar has been carefully restored from old Irish pubs and related salvaged artifacts including the magnificent mid 19th century bar complete with Victorian snugs and the parquet floor from the Harland & Wolfe yard where the Titanic was built. The pub required a tremendous effort from numerous Irish craftsmen to complete the restoration of the key pieces. The pub took over two years and 11,000 hours to finish. A total of 40 tons were shipped from Ireland including an estimated 10,000 pieces for the Harland & Wolfe floor that was restored in Wicklow but reconstructed on site in Midtown Atlanta.

Ri Ra Irish Pub - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
This was my first time to RiRa and will be going back for sure! The decor is very authentic-looking and the food is great! I had the chicken breast with lemon caper sauce. I wish I could get the recipe! Our service was good, but the lights were so low we used our phone flashlights to read the menu. The light thing isn't a huge deal at all since the food was the bomb!!
We picked this place for it's location and style of food; we were not disappointed. The service was good and it was not packed, for a Saturday night in Midtown. We ordered a mix of appetizers, sides, and dishes. Although the waitress could have been a bit more attentive, especially since it wasn't busy, we really enjoyed our time there and may return for a date night. The shaved brussel sprouts we're delightful along with the Sheppard's pie.
I will preface this first by stating that I am not a big fan of Irish Pub food to begin with. Ri Ra is another pub that is hyped as being the place to go but my visit was uninspiring. The limited menu is over priced and the quality of the food was average at best. My turkey sandwich was dry and needed more cranberry sauce to moisten it. I stayed away from the Irish food because there was nothing on the menu that seemed exciting and I have a hard time paying $15 for corned beef and cabbage. It is peasant food, not lords food, after all. The French fries were subpar and cold almost instantly. This leads me to believe that the food sat in the window too long before being delivered to the table. No one else at my table was impressed by there food either and my daughter thought the price paid for a very small serving of Shepherds Pie was outrageous. The service started with a very unfriendly girl at the front desk who informed us that our table was in the back of the room as she looked over the top of her phone. What the hell has happened in this country when you can stare at your phone while working. I really wanted to rip into her because I had read reviews that stated the service was unfriendly and poor. Our server seemed to be just passing the time. He didn't write anything done and his memory failed him because I ordered onion rings and was served fries. I won't be back for the food.
I've been to Ri Ra many times before and been very satisfied. This was not one of those visits. The food was just ok. I had Shepherd's pie, a dish I've had there on several occasions, and it missed the mark tonight...very dry and lacking in flavor. No one's food was particularly good.
Unfortunately for us as well, our server was terrible. I'm uncertain if perhaps he wasn't feeling well that night, but he was off from the beginning. Zero personality. Few check ups on his table (there were 12 of us). Once it was time to go, every single check was wrong. We corrected him and he brought each check back wrong again. A coupon was handed to him and he proceeded to leave it on the table and walk away...I had to chase him. I'm a former server as well as a former restaurant manager and I understand that everyone can have an off day once in a while, but this was ROUGH.
I brought a large group here for a birthday celebration and we all left underwhelmed. As I have had multiple great experiences at Ri Ra, I am not dissuaded this time from returning, but I hope this is not the new normal.
Arrived to an incompetent front of the house staff who with only a half full restaurant spent 15 minutes deciding on where they were going to seat our party of six. The waitress was completely disinterested in making us happy. Drinks went empty for way too long and in general the food was mediocre.
Do not trust any gluten-free statements made by the menu or staff.
I had a reservation that was denied at the restaurant, I love a lively bar/restaurant, but the inside was so loud it was entirely impossible to talk, we were taken to the tables outside only to discover there weren't any available tables. We were then seated along the outside the restaurant at a lonely table literally on the sidewalk. We ordered food and were later told they switched from the dinner menu to the late night menu so we had to order again, we ordered drinks only to be told two or three times that they were out after a long wait each time. I don't blame the server, he was a very sweet guy, it was the running of the restaurant itself that was upsetting. Outside was cold, the food was cold, and it wasn't the experience I had anticipated. I loved RiRa in the past, but this past visit was awful and I don't think I will be back.
Bar was very loud but US soccer was in progress and noise was understandable. Ate in the empty upper dining room so our party of five could visit, we were early for dinner because of a Fox matinee. Service was great, food was good in general. Always reliable!
We went to remember our trip to Ireland. The food we had there was not spectacular, but like home cooking. We liked the look, service, the main entrees chicken with Brie and lightly breaded lemon caper chicken were good. The veggies okay. The Brownie with ice cream was really good. They of course have a good drink selection. We parked by the Woodruff Arts center and walked over and back.
Incredible - finally a chef that knows how to present, cook and complete an entrée. I ordered the all day Irish breakfast and it was fantastic and perfectly prepared. We were seated quickly, the staff was friendly and we had a great experience at this restaurant- I WILL BE BACK.
I've only hit Ri Ra a few times since it opened but I've been impressed each time. After this last visit, a postponed valentine's dinner, I will be making a point of visiting again much sooner. The food was fantastic and the service outstanding.
My only complaint is that it can get rather noisy when they are busy, i.e. any weekend. If you want to have a quiet or more romantic dinner make sure it's a slower weeknight.
Regardless I've always received excellent service and the food has been great.
I ordered something very simple. Fish and Chips. The fries were good but the fish had no taste what-so-ever. First off the piece of fish was HUGE. (who would complain about big portions of food though, right?) It was huge yet so greasy and the little bit of taste it did have was all in the crust. The servers were nice. Someone was being trained and I thought he did a great job. The actual restaurant was nice looking and had a great bar feel. There seemed to be something going on upstairs which seemed to be very loud but I expected that for a bar. I hate I parked a block away because I had no idea they validated parking. I wouldn't ever go back here though. Food just wasn't good to me.
A decent enough Irish Pub, and worth a try. However, be warned: EVERYTHING was significantly over salted. Hopefully the chef will learn how to fix that. My wife and I ordered appetizers and dinner. The first round was sent back -- we asked for plain chips instead. The main course we were told was already made, and sending it back would not fix the problem.
I'll give it anther try. Maybe it was just the weekend crew.
