Ri Ra Irish Pub & Restaurant - Portland
We also love local and are proud to serve many local favorites from our craft beer selections that showcase just the right mix of imported Irish beers and regional favorites. Our food menu is comprised of elevated pub grub with a local twist.
Come in anytime for a pint, some food and some Irish hospitality. You are always welcome!
We do reserve a number of tables for Walk-ins, so if a reservation isn't available please call the Pub and ask for availability.

First time to eat for dinner. Food was great and such a lovely place and view.
Sunday Brunch always perfect at Ri-Ra
We liked the quiet and warm fireplaces. And great food!
Food was good, but seemed overpriced for what it was. Nice view of harbor, but it didn't have a particularly 'Irish Pub' vibe we expected.
We have been to Ri Ra many times in the past. So we had clear expectations which were not met. The menu was limited, the food mediocre and we left disappointed.
Reservation was at 5:30. Arrived at 5:15. Sign at entrance said, “please wait to be seated.” We waited about 10 minutes. People behind us waiting, too. Bartenders saw us. Nobody ever came over to help us. We left and went next door to eat. Not sure about what happened. Oh well.
We made a reservation for NYE thinking we would be upstairs however we got put in a table downstairs in the bar next to the band. It was impossible to hear and a completely different ambiance we were hoping for. I wish there was a way on opentable to know if you were upstairs or downstairs because experience is completely different.
Wonderful Christmas dinner! Lobster egg roll so good! Good venison pie. Not sure if fish got Gish snd ships was fresh but still good. Great selection of drinks plus had Smithwicks! Staff was pleasant and fun! Thank you😊
Even though it was Christmas, our waiter, Jack S, was right there when we needed something and was very personable. One wouldn't know there were many other tables he was waiting on, we were his "special guests.". The food was exceptional, and came promptly and pleasingly warm. I couldn't recommend RiRa more highly. This is our second Christmas visit and I'm certain not our last.
Christmas Day lunch with a friend, loved everything!
It was Christmas Eve and our waiter was so nice.
We did not feel rushed. The restaurant was decorated giving it a warm festive feel
We waited about 20 minutes to get any service and had to go to the bar to get drinks. There were a couple big things happening so it’s understandable! Otherwise everything was good!
Everything was great. Sever was very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. We had a nice view of the harbor (unfortunately mostly fog). Will definitely go back.
My group of seven ate at Ri Ra’s for lunch and really enjoyed the ambiance upstairs. Nice variety of dishes and drinks. We will definitely return.
Beautifully cozy restaurant! Loved the ambiance! Great for a girls night or date. Food was tasty- service was great although the particular server we did rush us a bit. Yummy chowder!
GREAT Avacado Toast, Seafood Chowder and Chicken Tenders
They were out of two f their Thanksgiving specials which is what we went there for. Not bad just not great.
Went with my family for Thanksgiving. Food was on point, reasonably priced and delicious. Ambiance was beautiful, my five year old enjoyed watching the boats come in and looking at the Christmas trees. Highly recommend !!
The food was delicious! However, $25.00 for a plate of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and gravy was overpriced. No rolls and butter, no cranberry sauce, staples of a Thanksgiving dinner. And for that price dessert and coffee should have been included. I would return to Ri Ra for their regular menu, but not for a holiday meal.
It was disappointing that they were out of the vegetarian Thanksgiving entree by 11:45 am.
Excellent waitstaff, excellent waiter, great ambiance, delicious chowder, the meals were good and filling.
Really enjoyed the dining experience. The atmosphere was incredible. The food was okay- not great but not bad. I had the grilled chicken salad and it was good but the chicken was tough. My husband had the fish and chips. He was not that impressed. Had the avocado toast for an appetizer and that was amazing. Recommend that highly. The waitress was very nice and very helpful. Overall a good experience.
Good dinner at RiRa but nothing special. Service was adequate but not very friendly. Fish & Chips is a huge portion and tasty. Fries are delicious! Chicken and dumplings was just OK. Would not get that again. Menu no longer has much of the traditional Irish fare it used to have. Only 2 dessert options so we went elsewhere for dessert.
Mice view upstairs
Good poutine and Chechen and dumplings
No Irish music, they said their may be a DJ
Had an enjoyable dinner with the family. Great ambiance- sat near the fireplace. Food was great- seafood chowder was delicious. Drinks were top notch.
Great service wonderful atmosphere was a bit pricy but it’s what you would expect would recommend and would go again
Great food and service. The view is outstanding and will definitely go back next time in Portland!
Surroundings were nice, light and airy. A good atmosphere and lovely food and drink all served well by Cameron.
Great food and great views from the upper level. We enjoyed our server too!
Samantha was a sweet heart, my date and I truly had a great time for meeting for the first time. I tastes his burger later that night 😉
We had a terrific waitress and the food was served all at the same time and hot.
Excellent food, great service, amazing view of the water from the second floor. Highly recommended.
Great ambiance with a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken and dumplings and my husband ordered the bangers and mash, both dishes were delicious. My husband also had the seafood chowder and he said it was the best he has ever had. I would highly recommend this restuarant to anyone visiting downtown Portland!
We enjoyed the view and the food. There was something on the menu for all of us. The Bangers and mash was excellent and the crab dip appetizer was a hit.
Service was fantastic, good food, good drinks! Will be back
We went there for a bachelorette party and the place was defiantly over packed or under staffed took 2 hours for food. The waitress was really great at doing her best, we had to request a meal to be taken off from the bill due to dry chicken and the manager never even came over. Other food we all got was great.
We met there at 6:30 on a Friday night and things were very calm and quiet for a while. A little later the place got very busy and very loud. There were lots of bachelorette parties and the place was packed! We expected it so it was OK but it made it very hard to listen and talk over all the noise.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fabulous. We sat upstairs overlooking the port.
Love this place! The down stairs has the bar and the music if you are looking for that. The dining room is upstairs where we had dinner with a nice view of the water, and quiet enough to hold a conversation across the table.
The portions were generous and the flavors were superb! Had a really great waitress Eden M, loved it so much we reserved a table for two days later. Only disappointment that night was our waitress Kaely L, she was not familiar with their draft menu and I had to show her on he menu that the beer I ordered really existed. We ordered an appetizer which we asked to have before our meals instead she brought it out at the same time as our meals. Will definitely ask for Eden M next time we go.
Have already recommended Ri Ra's to some of our friends.
Great spot with beautiful views! We went for brunch and the menu options were fantastic!
