They do not use open table anymore for reservations and it was a private event so my birthday dinner was ruined as I came to their restaurant, greeted with a rude customer service, and had to find a new place to eat last minute.
Very expensive for what you rec
Pretty cool place loved the sliders and wings!! Kick butt drinks
The food was great, but the service was poor. Our drinks took forever to get and our waitress forgot to put in one of our entrees. She did not come back until we were almost done with our meal so the last entree didn’t come until after we were all done eating. She did take the item off the menu, but wasn’t very apologetic.
❤️ One of my favorites. Love the mimosas 🙃, the food is always delicious.
Rhyme or Reason has tasty brunch options as well as bottomless mimosas available. It is a cool spot to dine and listen to the DJ. My only negative is there are no turkey or chicken sausage options for non- pork eaters. We had a great time at Rhyme or Reason for a birthday Celebration.
Great waitress until the food came out and then we never saw anyone for our bottomless mimosas
Food was too saucy or contained too much butter/oil.
I recommend just going for drinks and dessert. Keep in mind there will most likely be a show be going on while you’re dining.
Great place for friends to hang or a casual date The specials are amazing and the food is always delicious, easily a new favorite.
Extremely loud music run by a DJ for Sunday brunch. Uncomfortable for everyone in our group (most under 30). Our server was happy to hear our complaint as it gave her an excuse to ask for it to be turned down. And it was a little, which we appreciated. But we noticed that within about 20 minutes, it was cranked back up. Had to shout to be heard. There are just too many excellent places to eat and hang out with friends to have to endure discomfort, and so for that reason we will hesitate to return. Our server was fantastic and the food was solid -- not crazy good, but good enough to return (except for the noise level).
I really had fun at Rhyme or Reason. The entertainment really made the evening. The two performers (a duo and a dj) were excellent. The food was great! The service was just ok- Our waitress seemed busy maybe (??) as we had to wait a good while to request drinks and then to get them. The only down side of the evening was when we wanted to order some more food and drinks we were informed that the kitchen was already closed and that they now had a limited drink menu. I wish the waitress would have warned us ahead of time.
My friends and I had a great time here on Saturday! I had the Soul Chick sandwich which was outstanding, and we shared the Kung Fu Cauliflower which we really enjoyed as well. Wine bottles were half off until 10 p.m., which you rarely see on a weekend night. I love the funky entree and drink names, and the servers even don velvet as a nod to the era. There was live music at the end of the night, which added on to the experience. A fun evening!
After finding a voucher on Gilt City, friend and I visited Rhyme or Reason for dinner. We enjoyed the cocktails and food, but the service left something to be desired. However, I believe this might have been isolated as it seemed other tables were faring better depending upon the server. I had "The 'Roccan Chick" which had really nice flavor despite being a bit messy. My friend enjoyed the "Rose Friend Chicken Sliders" and we shared dessert (no menu but the one option was tasty). The live music started later in the evening after the dinner rush - it was enjoyable but made it a bit difficult to chat, so I would plan the occasion accordingly.
nice place with cool atmosphere. very interesting interior design, food was ok. i highly recommend their shrimp tacos. nice and tasty. only one minus is their bar menu. not a big wine selection. just few to choose from, even by the bottle.
It was absolutely terrible. We arrived and we were at a table that was right in the sun. The hostess made a huge deal about us wanting to move and in the end did not move us. Then the music was so unbearably loud as there was live karaoke and you couldn't even hear the people next to you. Again they said they would not turn the music down.
Cool atmosphere but the service sucks.
Took maybe ten minutes past reservation time to get our table, and then they put a table on the stage for us which was weird. We requested to move and finally got a booth. Our waitress seemed like she had too many tables and the food came out pretty slow. Food was fine though.
The ambience was neat, though not super"70s" as I thought reading a review. The food was good, though portions were small for the price.
I hadn't heard much about this place until I saw a deal online and then me and my girls decided to have dinner here. Every dish was made to order and tasted great! You can't go wrong with the menu here, not one dish was bad. Kudos to the chefs! I was impressed with the decor and the spacing of the tables was great for someone that hates to eat their meal all up on someone. The music was a nice throw back and the staff seemed to enjoy their job.
Brunch with girlfriends. Service was slow to start. We learned that our server was training. The DJ was fun and created an energetic environment but it was way too loud. I lost my voice yelling to order and talk to my friends. We had two errors with our order and I had to refill our water because the servers didn’t. When the bill came we had an issue with “gratuity included” which was not reversed and it took forever to get our bill and leave.
The food (once correct) was excellent and that was the saving grace for this restaurant because I probably wouldn’t recommend it if you actually want to have a conversation with the people you eat with comfortably.
Surprisingly dead early Sunday, but warmed up after noon This place is so much fun, from the G spot game corner to the sassy food items. We had monkey bread to start (very good) and the croque ma'dayum and the chilaquiles. Both of those were excellent. The croque is on challah with really flavorful ham. The chilaquiles have a lovely green sauce and chicken. They do some cool collab dishes, too, we didn't get that one, but it looked good (ole pazole). Fiance had a tasty blood orange mimosa.
Great fun! Menu is good and a value. Wine specials were terrific!
Good food at this new restaurant in town. The service was excellent, but a bit pricey. If you're looking for delicious food out of the ordinary set in a modern, upbeat environment, Rhyme or Reason is for you.
The food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. They have 1/2 off bottles of wine on Saturdays (red and white). The hardest part was picking what we wanted because so many options looked great. We all said we would be back (it was our first time).
PLEASANTLY impressed! I am looking forward to returning!
Great music! Great Food! GREAT SERVICE! Even, whom I thought was the manager, was helping; but actually owner.
Food and atmosphere were fantastic. Our server was amazing.
This place made for a fun date night. Really good food and drinks, good DJ, lively restaurant atmosphere that turns into a bar/party spot for late night.
A little kitchy but the food was great. Definitely would recommend the mussels - interesting twist on a classic dish. Also great wine selection and they were half off bottles on a Saturday night which is unheard of. I'd pass on the Tuna Poke - stingy on tuna and I don't know why since it's not an Asian place but I thought it was weird they served it without chopsticks. Overall a good place to go! Our waitress and even the busboys were awesome and right on everything we needed.
5 stars all around !!!!! Our experience at brunch was unlike any dinning experience we’ve had in a while. We felt every detail of the restaurant was catered to us. The food was exceptional. We had the Chicken and donuts and the brisket hash. The bottomless mimosas were clutch especially with the variety of juices. The DJ was excellent and had the restaurant rocking. Our server Emily was amazing and personable. Great music and vibes all around.
Amazing brunch! So much fun
Kept hearing about this place, and with friends in town for the holidays, decided to suggest Rhyme or Reason. It was a great choice. The crowd size was perfect, the music was great, and the food portions and bottomless mimosas were excellent. Our server was awesome as well. The only downfall to the experience was the sun pouring in through the front window. Unfortunately, a shade was not available for a section of the window - and that happened to be the area where our table was, and it was very hot. Otherwise, a very enjoyable experience and would definitely suggest this restaurant going forward.
