We visited for Sunday Brunch. This was our first visit to Rhein Haus. The chicken and waffles was really bad. The waffle was deep fried, maybe prepackaged and frozen? The chicken schnitzel was also deep-fried, hard and without flavor. It was disappointing and a few of us ordered it. The burger was basic (no complaints though!) and the Hunter's breakfast was good. We also ordered the cheese curds and the giant pretzel. The giant pretzel was fun, but not special as far as flavor or texture. The cheese curds were my personal favorite out of the two. I would order those again! The games and the waitress made the visit worth it. Our waitress was so kind, helpful and had us completely set up for a nice meal. (It wasn't her fault the food was below average!) We had a blast playing games, and that is why we came.

Another great experience at Rhein Haus Tacoma. Claire did a great job taking care of us. We were glad to get eat here before they close their doors on May 15. We will miss this restaurant and Wally’s Wisconsin Tavern.

Table was ready right on time when other walk ins were being told a wait time of 2hrs. Service was great and delivery of order was timely.

It was great. Fast and service. We made a 4pm reservation but didn’t need it. Food was excellent and Pilsner hit the spot! Price was quite reasonable. Will definitely be on dining rotation in the future.

Service was okay, not terrible. Food wasn’t that great and the prices are a bit steep for average food. The food was much better before Covid so I’m not sure if maybe a new cook or what. Kids menu needs to be updated a bit. And please for the love of god gets some menus or at least offer if you have them. It’s incredibly difficult to read them on the phone when you’re like me who’s wears glasses and the lighting is low. I had to scroll back and fourth to order and ended up forgetting to order my own food.

We have been to both the Rhein Haus in Seattle and in Tacoma. The Tacoma location was fabulous and bustling with patrons in a German themed restaurant before the pandemic. The food was great to have a glimpse of German bar food. Post pandemic, the corporate owners have decided they needed to throw in the middle of the restaurant a "Wallys" which ironically is a Wisconsin themed restaurant where Wisconite's are trying to hold onto their German heritage?? Why would you want something twice removed in the state of Washington?? Well anyways, it appears that a few of the items that made the Rhein Haus special are lost. Hopefully they can bring back a few more authentic items instead of the poorly executed items they have now. Also, when the staff asks you what you want and busily walk off you assume they are going to be entering your order. After what seemed like a half hour, we had to remind our staff person of what we ordered. Even that was ordered half wrong and had to be redone.

I was disappointed with the service. It was slow with several mistakes. They treated the mistakes like they were commonplace. They didn’t bring things like menus when asked, brought the wrong food, didn’t refill drinks, etc.

Food was really good; drinks were really good. Service fell off at the end but was ok. We got the wurst sampler platter. The chicken andouille sausage was not good, but the others were amazing. Habanero cheddar was our favorite. I loved their French fries, thick cut, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Spatzle was delicious. We’re a little bummed we didn’t try this place earlier.
