Creative and really delicious! New menu, impeccable and friendly service. Weeknight in Asbury during the off season so quiet at first but filled up as the night went on for a moderate noise level. Clean, modern and simple yet very comfortable. The menu choices were beyond interesting. Lots of vegetarian and gluten, dairy free options along with plenty of meat dishes too. The chef here worked hard to deliver such quality combinations of flavor, lots of layers but uncomplicated at the same time.
Will definitely be back. The restaurant scene in Asbury continues to impress!
We've been here a few times now, and it has not disappointed. Food, cocktails, and service are all great. I suggested the lamb burger, or the shakshuka.
Great meal, great service, we will be back!
The food was fresh and different. Some of the dishes could have a little more spice or flair. The service felt a little rushed. The music was way too loud as was the overall noise level. It could have been a little more relaxing but I would try it again.
Great food, plates for sharing. Wine was ok. Servers were prompt and friendly.
Always amazing service food and drinks. Thanks for an amazing evening
Excellent small plates and mediterranean food. Cocktails very tasty.
Hummus was exceptional and haloumi salad terrific.
A bit noisy but generally a fun night.
This was our first visit as locals, chosen by friends visiting from NYC. Everything was divine & the transformation from Cibo e Vino is amazing! Looking forward to a return visit!
Really well prepared creative Mediterranean food. Server was very helpful. Nice atmosphere. A bit noisy when busy but not bad. Been twice and a good experience both times
Delicious tasting food! My 2nd time to Reyla's and looking forward to returning real soon.
Can’t speak to the dinner crowds but the brunch menu is unique, tasty, Greek/middle eastern influenced, and well worth the trip. Loved the boozy smoothie. They do different signature cocktails - all very tasty and unique.
Reyla is fantastic, food is delicious, fresh and sharable. Comfy sleek environment.
My only concern was, as I was walking in with my mother in law, that it would be too loud. It was, but our hostess said "check where you are sitting fist". We were in the back right corner . It was perfect!
I don't mind an energetic restaurant but she does and I love they have the option.
Food delicious. Bar great and service always lovely. We've been quite a few times and like it every time.
In the area on a vacation in September 2018 and picked this restaurant because of the Mediterranean cuisine. Everything about Reyla was A+. Atmosphere, service, wine selection, and most of all, the food is all interesting and delicious, made fresh and with tasty ingredients. The prices were very good as well.
Vibrantly flavorful “Med” cuisine cooked with passion and a very sure hand. Staff is cool and intuitive, place is sexy and the experience was just outstanding. 2nd time there- our first was right after it opened and we couldn’t wait to get back on our next trip to Asbury. It only gets better and better with these kids
Five stars overall.
Slightly late to seat us (15 min wait) but wasn’t a big deal. Only part that got us wondering is why were they late when they were many open tables already set up.
Service/waitress was perfect. She’s a long time friend of the owner and was full of great recommendations.
Chef is a genius. Food was wonderful. Explosion of flavors.
The halloumi and the duck were the highlights. The lamb was really good too.
Can’t go wrong with this place.
I would go back again in a heartbeat.
It could have been we ordered the wrong plate. the humus was amazing the burger was just ok. I would go back and try again
We also were seated in the back since we were a little party it was boring
Really great food and well priced (considering many other restaurants Asbury Park)
Amazing meal. Great for sharing and tasting a lot of different flavors. Our waitress was really great, too!
Reyla was a fun food experiment! My friend and I felt adventurous and ordered things we'd never tried (and some we had). The hummus was excellent, the pomegranate and lentil salad was also great. I had fish on a skewer with rice, which was savory. We ordered one salad that was a mixed bag, but we had so much fun sampling all of its new and exotic ingredients that we were practically on the floor laughing! The mint iced tea is tasty. The atmosphere is posh and blessedly quiet. I am so tired of loud music in trendy places, and this was a spot that you could actually hear each other talking. I would recommend it to anyone who is curious about what new middle-eastern cuisine tastes like.
I always love Reyla but we had a particularly nice dinner at the bar. The cocktails were delicious, the beef kabob magnificent and the service outstanding. Thank you!
Do not waste a penny at this location. The place had a a few tables occupied and with a 6:30 reservation there was plenty of seating, like 90 percent of the place. They sat us initially on a wooden slat bench that was better suited for punishment than comfort, when we asked to move to a more comfortable table, and yes we used our please and thank you's the hostess shared a tight smile and said ok, and moved us. The waiter was a completely rude A-hole, did not great us, say hello, offer specials and while I was still talking about my order just took our menus and walked away "while I was still talking to him". The only time he gave us a fake smile and thank you for coming was when he brought the check I am assuming because I am so stupid that I would not remember his crappy service. Do not waste your time or money on a rude waitstaff and curt hostess. It was too bad because we made reservation in advance because it was suppose to be good. The Hummus was so so and the Watermelon was underwhelming. The cocktail was very good which almost changed our mind to stay, but then the waiter came with our Hummus and Watermelon with his same crappy attitude and hostility that we settled up left hoping when we passed by the next day their would be a business closed sign on the window. We just want to thank you guys for screwing up our dinner plans.
Delicious food. Not many options for kids though. Wish they had a less spicey kids menu so we could eat here more.
You can not modernize Arabic food. It’s as traditional as time. Little twists here and there yes but not overhaul it and not leave the basic staples.
we loved it, service was outstanding, and the food was delicious, the cocktails were inventive and not overpriced, really great, would return for sure! A+
Food So so. Too bright to loud . Service slow . Not on top of my list.
The watermelon appetizer was great. Portions were very small. Waiter didn't seem interested in service.
The menu was limited but every dish we had was delicious. Recommend the duck gyro, watermelon and olives. crudo was fine but not as special.
The waitress we had was great.
The server approached us twice - once to take the order and once to deliver the check. Disappointing service.
One of my favorite restaurants in Asbury. The menu is great for sharing with friends, service is superb, and the best part... you can have a nice leisurely meal without feeling rushed. Every item I've tasted has been delicious.
Whole fish dish was outstanding! Staff very helpful in suggesting dishes.
Delicious and different menu
Our server was great - very friendly and knowledgeable. I thought the food was normally good - what you would expect from a restaurant in Asbury Park - of decent quality, unique flavors... something different to try. Some dishes were better than others... we liked the L&L. We tried a bluefin tuna crudo and half of it had sinew so we couldn’t eat it (the white tendon-y stuff that typically is present in tuna, but when there’s too much makes it hard to chew). The plates are all for sharing, and definitely order a lot of them if you’re hungry because the portions are small as many other reviewers say. In terms of value I would say it’s a little expensive considering the small portions. I would go back with friends if I wanted a lively atmosphere and drinks, and some things to pick on/share. It’s was a very social, loud atmosphere on the Saturday night that we went. It’s worth going to check out, just remember to make a reservation on weekends because it gets crowded - but don’t be surprised if you arrive and have to wait 15 minutes to be seated anyway (our table wasn’t ready upon arrival). Enjoy!
Delicious fusion food and innovative cocktails! Great for sharing. A bit loud, but only because so many people were there enjoying themselves.
First time and will be back! Really good, creative cocktails. Tapas style dining that brought dishes out as they were ready. Octopus and beef kebab were standouts. Austere decor but totally reno’d from the previous iteration. New favorite in AP.
Good food, good service. The octopus and eggplant dish was excellent. Tasty drinks as well.
Reyla can be counted on for delicious food, an evolving menu, unique options, fresh ingredients, knowledgeable & attentive staff, and a warm atmosphere. My husband & I have enjoyed Reyla for our anniversary celebration; friends & I have gone for birthdays, and we’ve also been there just to share lots of small plates that are always full of flavor & surprise. Reyla respects a reservation; the wine list is unique...all in all I’d highly recommend Reyla!
Wonderful and friendly service. Food was amazing - delicious with interesting matching of foods and spices but not overwhelming.
We have eaten here multiple times and it is always a great experience. This time we started off with hummus. We tried the turkish version with pancetta. It’s served warm. First time we have ever had warm hummus. You have to try it. It’s a whole new experience. The eggplant was excellent as was the octopus. In addition to a great kitchen they have a great bartender. My one piece of advice is some restaurants want you to order everything at once and then they deal with the timing. It works better here if you do the opposite and just order 2 things and as you finish those then order more food. The kitchen is very quick to respond and you avoid the not enough room on the table problem. Very easy to run out of room since they give you a bottle of water, you’ve ordered a drink and a bottle of wine.
They have the most carefully prepared and imaginatively conceived food we have eaten in the area. Definitely, worth the expense. Nice staff and good ambience.
