The food was delicious and the service was wonderful!
Awesome atmosphere for the intimate to Instagram crowd. The food is amazing! Plenty of classic and modern Mexican dishes to chose from. Loved the non-alcoholic “drinks” as well, very tasty and complimented our meal perfectly. Bring a date or invite your Insta-followers, neither won’t be disappointed.
Everyone in our party was happy with their food. I was disappointed that they changed the menu the day before and I couldn’t get what I wanted. A little pricy for Mexican but quality. Overall happy. I got the braised short ribs and they were awesome. The sauce is very good.
The food and drinks were tremendous, but I sat at my table for 12 minutes before anyone came by to take a drink order, and then another 9 minutes to get the drink. This was my first poor service experience, I assume a fluke because I love all of my other experiences here!
Yummy food, hip ambiance and good service!
Terrible service. Great food.
Love this place! Food was amazing and service was great. Can't wait to go back.
Excellent all around!!!
Cocktails were fantastic. Some food was terrific (ceviche, steak, dessert), but the carnitas tacos were a little dry, needed something creamy to moisten them. We'll definitely be back; overall a nice experience.
Service was good but food was very mediocre. Had a group of clients in town and would not recommend this restaurant.
It was good but pretty expensive for Mexican food.
Team event. Had great server. Very helpful.
First time diner. Met a friend there before theatre. Our server was very cordial and made some great suggestions. We were there during happy hour, but ordered off both menus. We both had the charred octopus and it was tender and flavorful. I tried the tamale. It was the largest tamale I have ever had and I was not disappointed. I probably would have added salt had it been on the table, but it wasn't and I didn't ask. My companion had the yuca and carnitas and enjoyed it. I loved the classic margarita with mezcal, but the reposada old-fashion was incredible. The only down side of the experience is that our server seemed to disappear. He checked back, which was great, but then he never came back to the table. I'm sure he was busy with another table, but I had to track down someone else to finally get our check. All in all, I will return. It was very good.
Our entree (whole fish huachinango veracruz which served 2) was excellent but we were given no spoon for serving the sauce, nor any plate for the fish bones). The ceviche appetizer was good, as was the salsa that came with the chips and salsa. However, the tortilla chips had clearly been fried in rancid oil. We were brought new ones (twice) but neither the wait staff or kitchen staff seemed not to understand that making a new batch in the same rancid oil was not going to produce a better result. To their credit, they did not charge us for the chips and salsa. Don't know if the matador cocktail was made (in?)correctly, but it did not have the spicy edge expected from hellfire bitters. Instead, the smokey (think campfire) taste (and smell) was so overwhelming that my companion needed to send it back. Again, to their credit, they didn't charge us. All in all, a mixed bag.
Food was amazing, dessert was amazing, staff was very attentive without being annoying and price was good for the type and amount of food you get
St. Valentine’s Day
Server was very polite. Took him a while to come back to our table to tend to us. Food was pretty good though the chorizo in the queso fundido could’ve been strained better as it was very greasy. Drinks were yummy. At one point while I was sitting at my table the hostess called me and said that I didn’t pay my tab. She called the wrong number. However it altered the mood of the table. Very pretty set ups to look at.
Another great meal before the theater. Food was excellent and the service was great.
This restaurant might have potential if they do a fairer job of matching entree serving-size to menu pricing and stop charging $21 for a 3-sip martini - no exaggeration - the standard size martini glass was about 1/3 filled! The service was good and the ambiance modern and comfortable.
Great spot! Their happy hour is fantastic- we got ceviche, chicken tinga tostada, and pork tamal. All were fantastic. For entree I got the chicken mole and was very impressed. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful place. I enjoyed the Grilled Octopus very much. Compliments to the Chef. Get the meat platter it's good for 3-4 guests. Drinks are great price. Highly recommended
This may be our new favorite Hispanic restaurant. From the great vibe and excellent service, to the wonderful food and tequilas, this restaurant has it all. The dishes are authentic, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Our waiter, Zac, was helpful in suggesting different tequilas to try. Best part was a happy hour that ran until 7 pm throughout the restaurant, and on a Saturday no less. You will not be disappointed if you try this restaurant. BTW parking is in the same building as Reyes.
Excellent! Brought foodies from Miami and they raves!
Had a great time. Sat outside on a beautiful night. Odd that lights inside the restaurant were turned off and staff disappeared with no indication to our table that the restaurant was closing and we needed to leave.
Checks were closed out, however dishes and final signed checks remained on the table on the patio with doors locked and what appeared to be an empty restaurant. Uncomfortable leaving.
One of the best restaurants in the uptown area. Took long to notice this one. Great ambience. Perfect for a date night. Food is 10/10.
Reyes Mezcaleria came recommeded from my hotel while visiting in town on business. It was excellent!
The atmosphere & ambiance had a great vibe, the food was yummy (shrimp toacos) and the margaritas were extra yummy! Check it out!
Our server was excellent
Food was excellent. The wait staff had us waiting a while initially, but they made up for it by giving us free chips and salsa. Get the chicken adobo! The ceviche was excellent as well.
Not always easy to find a good restaurant open on New Years Day so we were so happy to discover y'all. Great food. Great design aesthetic. Great music. Great service. Will definitely be back.
Had a great dinner here with my wife and friends. The queso was unbelievable...can’t wait to go back
Great experience, per usual!
We went for a birthday and it was beyond great. The food was wonderful and they surprised us with a birthday treat at the end. Our server was perfect and attentive. The decor was really cute and modern. I will be coming back.
Prices have gone up since the last time we were there (in May) but the food is excellent, service is excellent, love the ambience.
What a delightful dinner with my daughter and a friend. We had a great table, the food was delicious and the waiters and staff, amazing! I’d gladly recommend this restaurant, for all the occasions one might have to celebrate, or for catching a great meal, in a lovely atmosphere. The lounge/waiting are is beyond charming, so cozy and inviting. I can’t wait to return.
I stop by often primarily because of convenience, great ambience and reliable food. I have the sense that the food used to be better. My only regular quibble was hoping they would switch from flour to corn based tortilla chips. Salsas are excellent. Too bad about the chips. Entrees are not cheap. This is a $20 lunch. At my most recent visit I had the corvina salad- essentially a pretty good caesar salad with a piece of pan seared corvina on top. Except for the mild spices on the outside, the corvina was almost tasteless. As I worte, I have this sense (maybe true or not) that the food used to be better. Enchiladas are a fair bet. Carne asada is decent. No competition for this sort of restaurant downtown. It's a beatiful space. I just wished the food would rise to the occassion.
Hostess were very rude. Restaurant was half empty and would refuse to provide seating for two extra guests that joined our party of 12. Thanks for crappy service on my birthday.
Family trip
Entree came out literally 5 minutes after we were served our app. No, no and NO ! Had to send back the app so the entrees wouldn’t get cold. Isn’t this part of ‘Expediting 101’? Ruined the meal.
This was a very good meal. I found it to be a bit expensive for what you get. The margaritas were tasty but very small for the price. The menu is not your typical Mexican which we loved! We will be back.
The food is SO good! The apps are a must and the fish entree is my favorite. The only downside was getting drinks was very slow and given no explanation. We would’ve ordered a lot more if it didn’t take so long
