Food and service is always good
Celebrating a friends birthday. After ordering the ceviche we realized that it has barely in seafood in it, it was served with a huge bowl of tortilla chips but barely any seafood plenty of garnishes though. The drinks came out quickly however they lacked any booze inside. Finally our waiter didn’t seem to want to be there and before I could finish the order, he scurried away.
Our tacos were quite good but other than that I wouldn’t come back.
Holy moly their food and drinks are top tier. I like to order chicken at good restaurants and see what they can do with it. I got the half crispy chicken and was not disappointed, probably one of, if not the best Ive ever had.
The food was ok. The portion for the price was over rated. We ordered two tacos. It was 12 dollars for two very small tacos. Nothing else. All other sides were additional. I ordered fish tacos. Tasted pretty good but the fish portion was small and looked like a fish stick. The service was slow and it was not very busy. The food was pretty good but I don’t think worth the price
Maybe because it was the evening of Easter Sunday, but everything was much slower than has been our normal experience at Reyes Mezcaleria. The food was, as usual, excellent and perhaps the reason it takes so long is that everything is made-to-order. Luckily, we had great company and had a good experience.
Unique Mexican food, not your typical cookie-cutter place. The entrees even include wonderful fresh fish selections, prepared in authentic mexican style. We made it just in time for the happy hour, which I also highly recommend, but if not, go for a nice and relaxing dinner filled with wonderful flavors to try!
Food was amazing
Food was ok. Not what I expected. Decor was pretty. Drinks were meh
Guest on patio where we were seated had a big dog who was barking loudly. Even though there were just two of us our table on patio was very small. Otherwise, great experience. Always.
The whole snapper was delicious!
Very great restaurant and they accommodated all my special requests and even called me to make sure everything was according to plan. Highly recommend and will definitely go back.
All of the appetizers and small plates were delicious! But the meat in the carnitas tacos was so dry and the duck enchiladas were fatty chewy pieces of duck lacking any flavor. If we ever come back it would only be for the elote.
Service was great. Really enjoyed the food and drinks. Highly recommend checking it out!
Awesome service! Went here for a birthday and they treated very well and the food was amazing!
Requested special note for anniversary on table when making reservation. Upon arrival no note. Besides that, good experience
The drinks, food, and service were just average.
So disappointed. Another wanna be fancy place without any taste. Come on. Stay true to your culture. WTF!
Not as good as usual. I’ve visited this restaurant weekly for several months before COVID-19. After COVID-19, the drinks are not the same and the second was not as good. I don’t think I will return.
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful!
Awesome atmosphere for the intimate to Instagram crowd. The food is amazing! Plenty of classic and modern Mexican dishes to chose from. Loved the non-alcoholic “drinks” as well, very tasty and complimented our meal perfectly. Bring a date or invite your Insta-followers, neither won’t be disappointed.
Everyone in our party was happy with their food. I was disappointed that they changed the menu the day before and I couldn’t get what I wanted. A little pricy for Mexican but quality. Overall happy. I got the braised short ribs and they were awesome. The sauce is very good.
The food and drinks were tremendous, but I sat at my table for 12 minutes before anyone came by to take a drink order, and then another 9 minutes to get the drink. This was my first poor service experience, I assume a fluke because I love all of my other experiences here!
Yummy food, hip ambiance and good service!
Terrible service. Great food.
Love this place! Food was amazing and service was great. Can't wait to go back.
Excellent all around!!!
Cocktails were fantastic. Some food was terrific (ceviche, steak, dessert), but the carnitas tacos were a little dry, needed something creamy to moisten them. We'll definitely be back; overall a nice experience.
Service was good but food was very mediocre. Had a group of clients in town and would not recommend this restaurant.
It was good but pretty expensive for Mexican food.
Team event. Had great server. Very helpful.
First time diner. Met a friend there before theatre. Our server was very cordial and made some great suggestions. We were there during happy hour, but ordered off both menus. We both had the charred octopus and it was tender and flavorful. I tried the tamale. It was the largest tamale I have ever had and I was not disappointed. I probably would have added salt had it been on the table, but it wasn't and I didn't ask. My companion had the yuca and carnitas and enjoyed it. I loved the classic margarita with mezcal, but the reposada old-fashion was incredible. The only down side of the experience is that our server seemed to disappear. He checked back, which was great, but then he never came back to the table. I'm sure he was busy with another table, but I had to track down someone else to finally get our check. All in all, I will return. It was very good.
Our entree (whole fish huachinango veracruz which served 2) was excellent but we were given no spoon for serving the sauce, nor any plate for the fish bones). The ceviche appetizer was good, as was the salsa that came with the chips and salsa. However, the tortilla chips had clearly been fried in rancid oil. We were brought new ones (twice) but neither the wait staff or kitchen staff seemed not to understand that making a new batch in the same rancid oil was not going to produce a better result. To their credit, they did not charge us for the chips and salsa. Don't know if the matador cocktail was made (in?)correctly, but it did not have the spicy edge expected from hellfire bitters. Instead, the smokey (think campfire) taste (and smell) was so overwhelming that my companion needed to send it back. Again, to their credit, they didn't charge us. All in all, a mixed bag.
Food was amazing, dessert was amazing, staff was very attentive without being annoying and price was good for the type and amount of food you get
St. Valentine’s Day
Server was very polite. Took him a while to come back to our table to tend to us. Food was pretty good though the chorizo in the queso fundido could’ve been strained better as it was very greasy. Drinks were yummy. At one point while I was sitting at my table the hostess called me and said that I didn’t pay my tab. She called the wrong number. However it altered the mood of the table. Very pretty set ups to look at.
Another great meal before the theater. Food was excellent and the service was great.
This restaurant might have potential if they do a fairer job of matching entree serving-size to menu pricing and stop charging $21 for a 3-sip martini - no exaggeration - the standard size martini glass was about 1/3 filled! The service was good and the ambiance modern and comfortable.
Great spot! Their happy hour is fantastic- we got ceviche, chicken tinga tostada, and pork tamal. All were fantastic. For entree I got the chicken mole and was very impressed. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful place. I enjoyed the Grilled Octopus very much. Compliments to the Chef. Get the meat platter it's good for 3-4 guests. Drinks are great price. Highly recommended
This may be our new favorite Hispanic restaurant. From the great vibe and excellent service, to the wonderful food and tequilas, this restaurant has it all. The dishes are authentic, fresh and perfectly seasoned. Our waiter, Zac, was helpful in suggesting different tequilas to try. Best part was a happy hour that ran until 7 pm throughout the restaurant, and on a Saturday no less. You will not be disappointed if you try this restaurant. BTW parking is in the same building as Reyes.
