Everyone in my party enjoyed our meal at Revue, however the service experience was subpar. From the very beginning when the waiter introduced himself, he acted as if we were a big annoyance to him and it tainted our whole dinner experience. While the food was good, there are many other restaurants in Austin with better service.
Wonderful selections and quality preparation. We would return for the food. The only down voted item to Very Good is about where we were seated...an awkward spot that maybe shouldn't have a single table...between the expansive bar and bakers prep station. So you have random people who have wandered into restaurant who want to look at the artisan baked goods...or you have restaurant staff whirling past to get to the kitchens... A plus maybe that you get to smell the crepes being made at that table!
We really enjoyed our time here. The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice.
Excellent food and service! Love the diverse menu. We will be back!
Group of 10 had a W O N D E R F U L time celebrating a bachelorette event. The staff was extremely accommodating and made our group feel so special!!
Cute decor, space for a group of 14 people last minute
I got the prosciutto and burrata sandwich and it was UNREAL!!! So delicious, the bread was warm and a little crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Salad was over dressed but no big deal.
Everything was perfect with the exception of a table with children being loud behind me and it's slightly overpriced due to the fact that it's in the hotel lobby, so you pay for convenience.
Highly recommend for lunch
The brunch has excellent options and is reasonable since it's all you can eat.
Unfortunately we didn’t get our food. Not a great breakfast meeting with a key customer.
I have been to Revue several times and have never been disappointed. The food is fantastic, the waiter was frendly and professional, and they even had live music. A great experience overall.
Our service was off. We were missing two of our orders and when our check came, it was significantly delayed. The first bill came at 815pm, and our last person (of 7) finally paid at 9pm. I’m not sure this place can handle multiple checks at a table
Something for everyone. Really nice service and atmosphere. We loved it!
Our experience at the Revue was mixed. It is sort of an upscale food court with a sit-down restaurant experience style. You could choose from any of the multicultural cuisine restaurants in one location. However, we were seated in what looked like a casual hamburger joint atmosphere with families with little children running around. This was certainly not what we had in mind for a nice Friday Dinner. The food and cocktails were very good, although the High-End Steak restaurant was off-limits and we were told we cannot order from their menu even though we spent over $100 apiece for our meal.
All in all a rather disappointing experience!
I hosted a small group and the service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place.
Our waiter was the sweetest. They didn’t have enough wait staff so he brought us champagne
Slightly marked down for a distinct lack of GF options (or at least a waiter who said there weren't many). What we had was very good.
Beautiful hotel and restaurant the buffet was wonderful. Nice food not your typical buffet.
Up scale food and atmosphere.
They went above and beyond for our 28th wedding anniversary!! It was awesome!
Bacon and eggs were excellent as were the potatoes and grilled cherry tomatoes. Although a basic breakfast, they were far above the norm.
Charcuterie and cheese plate were superb. The Caesar salad was too heavy on the lemon flavor for my taste.
A lot of variety in the various food stations. Lovely presentation of the dishes.
Over priced, but that is to be expected for the convenience of walking from your room to excellent food.
We must have hit our waitperson on an off night. He didn't seem to care we were even there. He was very disengaged and almost rude about any questions we had about the menu. After we placed an order for starters they arrived promptly. We finished them completely and had to waive him down to get him to take our next order. The food arrived for 3 of the 4 of us and mine didn't. We waited a few minutes and I encouraged my friends to start eating. Only when we found the waiter and tell him I never received my order did he seem to even care. To his credit he took my entree off of the check yet still didn't seem to want to be there. Not the level of service I'd expect at any venue inside a Fairmont Hotel. The idea of this restaurant is very appealing and food quality was very good. Once they fix the service I'd happily give this a higher rating.
Our server Miescha was perfect! I don't think I've ever had an experience dining out as great as with her! She was amazing!
Zack was the best part of the experience. I wasn’t impressed with the place.
I went on Sunday for Brunch. This Revue only covers Brunch. Great place for brunching with friends. Plenty of delectable options and you can also choose from the menu if buffet isn't your thing. I tried to taste almost everything offered. I think the only thing I was a bit disappointed was the shrimp and grits. Just a different flavoring - personal preference. Nothing bad about it at all. I
If you are looking for a good brunch spot, this is the place to go. BE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS!
Service was strange. It felt like our waitress didn’t really know what to do. Ambiance was ok, seemed like it didn’t know if it wanted to nice, interesting, eclectic, homey, or like a Hard Rock Cafe
Well seasoned and presented food, great wait staff, cold cocktails and dear friends!
Friendly Reception Staff, our Waitstaff never made eye contact w/ me, did w/ my husband. Got my husband drink selection but I was not ask for mine. Food is mediocre, in presentation, taste. Pretty pricey. Will not go back. Also, the ambiance..as if I'm in Vegas. Did not get a good vibe w/ the environment. There's so mant faux trees.
Slow, poor service. Mediocre food. Strange Disney theme park feel space. Wouldn’t go there again.
We had a nice quiet breakfast before most people started coming in. A very nice/unique atmosphere.
Revue is offers several food concepts (Asian, Seafood, Italian et al) in a village motif, sort of a food court on steroids. You can sit at the bar or in several areas in the restaurant and order from every menu. The weekend brunch is excellent; not the largest buffet, but the food quality is first rate. From oysters on the half shell to brisket hash, the choices were all excellent. Best Brussels sprouts ever. Highly recommend.
It’s was a wonderful experience! Great service and great food. Looking forward to going back.
Late lunch so perhaps the crowd had come and gone. The best part was the help who guided our selections. Since we were willing to share and split items we were able to try several items from their various kitchens.
Great service and food!! Our waiter was excellent and made our experience great! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great brunch experience.
Great buffet with fabulous options! Highly recommended.
Revue has a very interesting environment, it’s like being on the set of a movie. Reminded me of my times at Universal Studios as a young child. The service was okay, but we did have some problems with the food. We ordered the garlic toast and it was brought out quite burnt. I normally would not have said anything, but it was inedible. We sent it back and asked for a new batch and again, it was brought out burnt. Unfortunate experience all around. I will most likely not be returning.
Pork belly rice, dumplings, chicken wings...
Cody was the definition of excellent personable service! The menu had a little bit of everything and tasted incredible. Loved the ambiance, felt like adult Disneyland... in a good way.
The food was delicious - thankfully! Administratively, pretty awful. I made a reservation for 10 people on Open Table and then it alerted me that it was for a high top table. I googled the restaurant and saw that some of the seating appeared to be high top at the bar, so I called to make sure that we were being seated at a real table (high top is fine...I just wanted to make sure the group was all looking at one another and not at a bar). When you call, it goes to a corporate office. I was told they didn't know what table I was at, but that we would get a call back later that day. Next day, nothing. So I called back again, same thing. Meanwhile, another friend called to inquire about adding an additional person to the table and changing the reservation an hour earlier. Even though she was really clear that it was for my reservation, they made her her own reservation and they said they could not add another person and not change the time. (So said person did not come). Then my friend received a call asking if where she was and if she was coming at the time they denied us! And there was plenty of room for our friend who decided to stay home! We got there and it was very quiet (lots of empty tables) so we were confused why we couldn't have added one more person or made our reservation an hour earlier! The staff must have heard us complaining because they graciously gave us 3 free appetizers, which was much appreciated. And, once again, the food is delicious. If the admin can step up a bit then it'll be a great spot.
This was our second visit to Revue for brunch and the experience was just as good as the first time. The food was delicious. The service was great. And I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant and the hotel.
For a quiet special occasion, ask to sit on the “porch”. Really nice!
We had an amazing experience here! Went with 6 of my girl friends and tried quite a few of their appetizers and ramen. Food was incredible and the staff were all so helpful and polite. Highly recommend!
