Friendly Reception Staff, our Waitstaff never made eye contact w/ me, did w/ my husband. Got my husband drink selection but I was not ask for mine. Food is mediocre, in presentation, taste. Pretty pricey. Will not go back. Also, the ambiance..as if I'm in Vegas. Did not get a good vibe w/ the environment. There's so mant faux trees.
Slow, poor service. Mediocre food. Strange Disney theme park feel space. Wouldn’t go there again.
We had a nice quiet breakfast before most people started coming in. A very nice/unique atmosphere.
Revue is offers several food concepts (Asian, Seafood, Italian et al) in a village motif, sort of a food court on steroids. You can sit at the bar or in several areas in the restaurant and order from every menu. The weekend brunch is excellent; not the largest buffet, but the food quality is first rate. From oysters on the half shell to brisket hash, the choices were all excellent. Best Brussels sprouts ever. Highly recommend.
It’s was a wonderful experience! Great service and great food. Looking forward to going back.
Late lunch so perhaps the crowd had come and gone. The best part was the help who guided our selections. Since we were willing to share and split items we were able to try several items from their various kitchens.
Great service and food!! Our waiter was excellent and made our experience great! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great brunch experience.
Great buffet with fabulous options! Highly recommended.
Revue has a very interesting environment, it’s like being on the set of a movie. Reminded me of my times at Universal Studios as a young child. The service was okay, but we did have some problems with the food. We ordered the garlic toast and it was brought out quite burnt. I normally would not have said anything, but it was inedible. We sent it back and asked for a new batch and again, it was brought out burnt. Unfortunate experience all around. I will most likely not be returning.
Pork belly rice, dumplings, chicken wings...
Cody was the definition of excellent personable service! The menu had a little bit of everything and tasted incredible. Loved the ambiance, felt like adult Disneyland... in a good way.
The food was delicious - thankfully! Administratively, pretty awful. I made a reservation for 10 people on Open Table and then it alerted me that it was for a high top table. I googled the restaurant and saw that some of the seating appeared to be high top at the bar, so I called to make sure that we were being seated at a real table (high top is fine...I just wanted to make sure the group was all looking at one another and not at a bar). When you call, it goes to a corporate office. I was told they didn't know what table I was at, but that we would get a call back later that day. Next day, nothing. So I called back again, same thing. Meanwhile, another friend called to inquire about adding an additional person to the table and changing the reservation an hour earlier. Even though she was really clear that it was for my reservation, they made her her own reservation and they said they could not add another person and not change the time. (So said person did not come). Then my friend received a call asking if where she was and if she was coming at the time they denied us! And there was plenty of room for our friend who decided to stay home! We got there and it was very quiet (lots of empty tables) so we were confused why we couldn't have added one more person or made our reservation an hour earlier! The staff must have heard us complaining because they graciously gave us 3 free appetizers, which was much appreciated. And, once again, the food is delicious. If the admin can step up a bit then it'll be a great spot.
This was our second visit to Revue for brunch and the experience was just as good as the first time. The food was delicious. The service was great. And I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant and the hotel.
For a quiet special occasion, ask to sit on the “porch”. Really nice!
We had an amazing experience here! Went with 6 of my girl friends and tried quite a few of their appetizers and ramen. Food was incredible and the staff were all so helpful and polite. Highly recommend!
I can not say enough good things about this restaurant, the food, and most of all our waiter Cody. Every single dish we had was incredible! From the ramen dishes, to pizza, to a huge array of appetizers we were not disappointed. The specialty cocktails were also on point! Our waiter was so kind to our group that was visiting for a bachelorette party, even offering us some complimentary sides to try, AND 3 types of cake with a congratulations message on the plate. He was really the topping on our great experience here! If I am back in Austin again, I will definitely go back to Revue
The environment is so strange. The interior of the space is modeled after a film set, which gives it such a weird ambiance. No idea what they're going for there. Fake building fronts, empty kitchens, fake film gear stacked up by the bathrooms... Just no idea what the concept is supposed to be. The service was decent, but because of the way the space was arranged, there were several moments we looked around and just didn't see a server anywhere. The food itself was unfocused. Tasted fine, but nothing exciting. Mix of Italian dishes, and ramen, poke bowls, etc... This place was just odd.
Easter Brunch was fantastic. The entire restaurant experience from the hostesses to our down to earth server “Caroline” was an amazing experience.
Eastern Brunch was amazing. I am not a lover for buffets but here they offer a la carte menu item delicious.
We stumbled upon Revue while searching for Easter Brunch in Austin. Their brunch menu was outstanding and by far the best price for what they were offering compared to other local spots. The food was delicious, the staff were great, the band was great (and not too loud!) and we truly had a nice experience. I’d recommend to anyone in the area!
This was the best Easter brunch and brunch we’ve had in Austin.
Revue posted an Easter brunch menu online for a set price of $65.00, including entrees. When we arrived, we were handed a special menu for entrees (listed online as free) for an additional cost of $25.00 each. Overall the food was unimpressive (bacon was half raw and not safe to eat). Service was HORRIBLE. We were half way done eating before server ever approached us. I literally got up and got my own water pitcher twice as the server was inattentive. Finally, the "free" parking they promoted was not provided, as the parking pass the server finally gave me was expired, so parking cost me $17.00. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. Even making reservations was problematic. We had to change times so lost our table seating and had to sit at the bar. Revue website said no openings, Opentable said bar seating available. So I called to confirm - took 15 minutes as person on phone had NO IDEA that they had opened up bar seating. VERY POORLY run restaurant.
When we checked in with our reservation our hostess failed to greet us warmly. When we were seated we were presented with absolutely no context about the buffet, if we would have a server, what was included, etc. We looked around to see several other tables receiving supreme service with instructions, smiles and water immediately. Our server seemed shocked when we mentioned that we had not been given any instruction. It’s a shame that the hosts were selective in who they treated well and who they did not.
Great Easter buffet! food for every palate and the staff was very attentive and nice We all loved it and will
Definitely go back!
Food was excellent in quality & variety. Service was very friendly & above average. The only issue we encountered was an uninterested hostess, which meant that we did not find one food table until the end of our meal. This was not a problem as we were stuffed full anyway. But as the food tables have various locations, I would advise the hostess or the wait staff to review where all stations are before diners order. Having said that, we are ready to go again. Best value we have encountered in Austin in a good while & yes, we will wholeheartedly recommend to friends.
The food and atmosphere are great but the staff is completely checked out during the breakfast and lunch hours. Happy hour and dinner time are much better. Staff during earlier part of day are inattentive and act as though you’re bothering them. Plus we had to ask for help a few times to find our wait staff member from a busser and the hostess stand. When we did that it was like we were in the wrong because we didn’t want to wait for upwards of 15 mins for water to be refilled and checks to be brought. It was a bit ridiculous. Waitress sighed a lot. It was really strange as our table was in very good spirits and kind to her. Not sure what was going on but it was unfortunate.
I have been to Revue several times, but the last time was in November. I remembered my server, Rachel, but I was amazed that she remembered being my server. Once again, her service was outstanding. I was also surprised, too, that Mike, one of the bartenders, remembered me. This was the first time I was there for the Sunday brunch. The buffet was good, but needed replenishing when we were there. We also ordered several items of the small plate menu and they were all delicious. My friend visiting from Chicago was also impressed with Revue and was glad that I had selected it.
Great variety of small plates. Brie is an excellent waiter!
The food and service were impeccable. We came to brunch for my friend’s birthday, and we were treated with complimentary champagne and dessert. Bryan was a fantastic server, and I would list this as a must-do brunch for anyone coming to Austin.
We had the best time here! Our waiter was so nice and we had the best service. They provided appetizers and cake on the house. Would come again in a heartbeat!
The fried egg sandwich was delicious and the atmosphere was really laid back and cool. Those were about the only positives... there were tons of dirty tables so the only seating was at the bar. Nobody mentioned to us that there was a buffet or a brunch special they do so we ordered off the menu... when we found out about the buffet and brunch special we were disappointed because it was a much better deal and would have been a great experience for first timers. The bartender would not serve us alcohol but the other manager looking dude was serving the people next to us beer and Irish coffee.... my husbands pancakes were a little on the crispy side and lacked any flavor.
Needless to say we were highly disappointed in our experience.
Went for Bachelorette dinner and was just ok, nothing outstanding and wished we’d chosen somewhere else. Service started out great but was lacking towards the end of our meal.
It was okay. I was visiting from NY with friends and nothing was that exciting but the brussel sprouts!!! Those were amazingg
We went to Revue to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. The brunch was excellent and at a good value. We will most definitely be back.
A solid brunch option, the buffet is good with a variety of options, nothing standout but overall pleasant. Staff was friendly and fast. I would come with a larger group.
Food was basically an attempt at gourmet buffet. The menu is the most diverse menu I've ever seen in my life - mix of Italian, asian, and American all rolled into one. The decor can only be described as Universal Studious backlot tour. Waiter played a 2 hour game of hide n go seek during our meal. At one point I wanted to send out a search party. Overall I just walked away confused and not very satisfied with dinner. On a good note we did have a great discussion with the dessert counter attendant on the way out which was the best part of the service by far! She was fantastic, they need more people like her there.
The food was really super. I chose the tofu bowl and shrimp gyoza. Fresh ingredients and a lovely mix of flavour and texture.
I’ve had brunch there before, but our service has been way better. It was my father’s 60th birthday, and I was hoping for better service. Our server, I believe his name is Alif or Asif, (Sunday-3/10-brunch time), he just didn’t seem to care to be there. He didn’t introduce himself. He also didn’t care much to check up on us. For the experience that we’re used to, it was disappointing especially when it was such a special occasion. The individual servers who helped deliver some of our food were very polite and kind. We also ordered some of the brisket tacos. They came out cold and didn’t have as good of a flavor like we’ve had. Again, it wasn’t an awful experience but definitely a disappointing one.
Came for the Sunday brunch. It was great mix of all you can eat and ordering small plates. I felt like I had to try everything. I definitely left full but satisfied.
Food was decent at best. Not worth the price.
