Exceeded our expectations! Crab cakes were all crab and very little filler.
Food was excellent, atmosphere warm and welcoming, waitstaff attentive to a diner’s needs. A welcome break from a difficult year.
What a great event to help me celebrate St. Patrick’s. I love “tea time” and the scones were incredible. I am looking forward to yoga tea to , which is cool Ning later in the spring.
Revival on Lincoln is my favorite restaurant! The owner is amazing, the food is outstanding, and the bartender makes the best drinks on the planet. The atmosphere is perfect for a cozy date with your spouse or a nice family gathering. I have never had a bad meal here. I’m already looking forward to my next meal there!
We found this place on open table and it turned out to be a very fun/unique experience. Food was above average, service was excellent and met the owners on the way out. Cool concept and an enjoyable date spot. Give them a shot.
Only small issue was parking, but that’s to be expected.
Top notch experience... Immensely welcoming. Overall a wonderful establishment 🙏
John has an excellent team, both front of the house, and back. Food is always consistent and well prepared.
Outstanding food. Skipped the first course, which looking back, was probably a mistake. Should have tried the lobster bisque :( As for the main courses, both the crab cakes and steak medallion meals were impeccable. But since we passed on the first course, we took advantage of the third course — dessert. My date opted for a chocolate cake of some sort and says it was delicious. I don’t eat chocolate, so opted for the strawberry shortcake. It was uh-may-zing. Make sure you bring your inside voice for the dining experience. The place is super quiet and even the slightest loud noise could wake the dead (if you know, you know). Also make sure you play the “room game”. Try to figure out if you’re dining in a former viewing room. It’s both cool and creepy to wonder if you’re breaking bread in a spot where bodies laid in repose. Either way though, it’s phenomenal food and a great space.
Great time food was all really good and service was fast.
Great! Balentines day menu was delish
We went for Valentine’s Day and they had a prix frixe menu. The service was great. The food was ok. My husband had the lobster bisque that had an overwhelming tomato taste to it. I had the beet salad which barely had any dressing on it and was bland. The crab cake was good but salty and cold. The chateaubriand was overcooked and a little dry. It reminded us of a banquet dinner.
Was there for valentine's day. The food and service was top notch. Will definitely be back.
The restaurant is very nice and has a really nice welcoming feel to it. We were there on Valentines Day weekend and had the pre fixe menu which was the only option. The bisque was fantastic and my wife said her salad was amazing. The issue was with the main course which was good but not fantastic. The crab cake was delicious but the filet and spinach were very bland although it is difficult to make a filet flavorful to begin with. The drinks and desserts were very good. We will go back again to try other menu items in the future.
quaint atmosphere, friendly staff, quality food and drink and reasonable price. what more can you ask for.
Was there for Valentines Day. The menu was fixed price. The food was good, but overpriced for what we got. Even though our server was very nice, the wait time to receive another drink or another fork was rather long.
We happened upon this restaurant and got a table for their prix-fixe Valentines dinner. It was a set menu and the food was delicious. They had an extensive cocktail menu and good wine selection. The staff was exceptionally helpful and attentive. The setting itself is warm and inviting. We will definitely be back.
Would have been MUCH more pleasant without the musician playing the melodica in the entry hall.
Amazing food. Everything was perfect. Filet was the best I’ve had in my life
The building is very unique and the ambience was wonderful. Our food was delicious and the service was top notch. Would recommend to anyone.
All around great place to eat, very enjoyable experience.
Dined here for Valentine’s Day. While the ambiance, drinks, and service were great, the food was just ok. The chauteaubriand and potatoes tasted very good, but the portions were very small. The crab cake was mediocre, and again, very small. The strawberry shortcake dessert did not taste good - it was extremely heavy and dry and the icing had no flavor; however, the chocolate truffle was delicious. My husband and I were still hungry after dinner. The small portions were not worth the price. I have had chateaubriand many times - including prepared table side. The portion is then split. This was not the case. My husband and I got tiny slices of chateaubriand that they must have cut in the back and served to multiple tables - it was not split for two. The menu stated that it was, and that was very misleading.
Galentine’s day tea
Everything was extraordinary. It far exceeded all of our expectations
Outstanding service and ambiance that can’t be beat. Love the themed teas they are doing this time of year!
This was our first time visiting Revival, and we had the Valentine's Day special meal. It was very good! Crab cake was the best I've ever had, and the roasted beet salad was spectacular.
Service and cocktails was good. I was disappointed with the quality and value of the food. It was a 125 $ Valentine’s meal for two and it reminded me of cafeteria quality food. Uninventive, bland, and overly expensive. Perhaps it’s better outside of the holiday?
This is a lovely restaurant in a historic building. Beautiful Ambiance and the food Is consistently delicious. Extra bonus is the very creative cocktail menu. Definitely recommend
The food was wonderful and the fixed menu was neat for Valentine’s Day. We just felt very rushed through dinner since it was all fixed menu. We had our first course before our drinks even came. We finally had to tell the waitress to wait to bring dessert because just wanted a moment to enjoy our drinks. Other than timing of serving it was great.
Wonderful date night
Such a lovely dining experience! The entire staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure our evening was perfect. They offer a link to scan on your menu to learn about the history of the building, which was very interesting. Above everything else, the food and cocktails were fantastic! Highly recommend and definitely will be going back.
Definitely a special place with excellent service and great food. Cocktails a highlight. We will be back!
My husband and I fell in love with the food and atmosphere when we came here several months ago - there’s something about the house, we just enjoy being there. Our friends wanted to try it so we all went out for dinner. Everyone loved their food and the drinks were great - both alcoholic and non. Always like the list of cocktails that the bartender creates. The 1st course options of soups and salads have been amazing every time. There were giant lumps of crab in the bisque and a lot of them. I was told the Pancetta and steak entrees were excellent. I was a little disappointed in my choice of Salmon w lentils and creamed spinach but there was definitely a lot of that as well. They certainly don’t skimp on portions but you don’t feel overly full when you leave which is a plus. Revival is constantly changing their menu and we love to try new things so we’ll definitely be back.
This was our first visit and won't be our last. Our visit was during Restaurant Week 2021. The menu provided many many choices which is not always the case with some Restaurant week restaurants. The beef and porchetta entrees were cooked perfectly. The lemon bar and pecan pie deserts were also very very good. And Bridgett's service was attentive without being obtrusive. We are looking forward to another visit very soon.
The Revival takes its name seriously, in several dimensions. The building was formerly a private mansion and a funeral parlor (not at the same time). You will be seated in one or another of many comfortable welcoming rooms. The cocktail list inherits from the heyday of classic cocktails. Try the Ohio River Boulevardier. Then decide on a meal. The mix of flavors and beauty of presentation on the plate is not like anything you can find elsewhere. The breadbasket comes from BreadWorks and our server made the hummus to spread on it fresh from scratch, which was very delicious. In short, the decor is elegant and historic, the chef is creative the bartender is clever, the waiter is well-practiced and, by the way, you can chat up the owner when he comes around to your table. A wonderful experience.
The food is amazing and the drinks are very creative. Our server was phenomenal. The only negative is... When we first arrived there were a lot of people in the room which made me nervous (medical condition) but after a few mins it did clear out.
Food is phenomenal and so are the drinks. Always a good experience!
Food was good but I would have liked slightly larger portions; however, the service was great & the atmosphere (nicely decorated historic building) was well worth the visit
As always dinner was amazing! Our server was 5 star , this establishment is beyond beautiful and I always look forward to my next visit
Each member of our party tried a different Restaurant week offering. All 4 of us were happy with our choice.
Love the food, service, cocktails, wine list, ambience. They only thing we have been disappointed with is the desserts.
