Revival on Lincoln
We had a great server. Everyone was very welcoming.
We ate here for restaurant week and it was awesome! Braised short ribs and shrimp and grits were delicious! The vanilla bean cheesecake and cocktails were amazing 😍
The food was absolutely delicious. We went during restaurant week so it was very busy and they were short on wait staff so service was a little slow. No fault of our waitress though. I have to say it was pretty noisy which might have to do with the acoustics. I would definitely go back!!
Food was good and loved the caramelized onion and mushroom soup. Service was a little slow, not sure if that was due to restaurant week, plan to spend 2hrs there.
My fiance and I enjoyed a dinner on the patio during Restaurant Week. We had a 3-course meal event menu to choose from. Everything was excellent...the service, the food and the atmosphere! We are
both vegetarian and very happy to have an option like the Vegetable Ratatouille. The desserts (lemon bar and Snickers pie) were incredible. The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful and historic, and the patio on a warm summer night was perfect.
The building is beautiful! We were amazed to see such an historical type structure in Bellvue - and the interior was decorated beautifully. The owner came to say hello as we checked in which made us feel very welcome. We had the French Onion soup and the grilled caesar salad - both were very good.
The braised short rib was excellent! Tender, tasty and the sides were a great accompaniment to the dish. The salmon was cooked to perfection and tasted very fresh and flavorful.
We had the WHITE CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING WITH CARAMEL SAUCE and the cheesecake for dessert - both made in house and excellent. The wine menu is extensive and prices are reasonable. We enjoyed the restaurant and will go back! We probably would have never gone there if it wasn't restaurant week - so kudos to those planners for allowing us to experience a great restaurant!
Our waiter Fred, the owner and the bartender were all terrific! Will definitely go again.
We went to celebrate closing on our house. We did make reservations and were seated right away. It was restaurant week and even though they were busy, I never felt like we had to find our waiter. He stopped by to check on us often. The food was amazing! We had the grilled Caesar salad which was unexpectedly delish. So much so, my husband is trying to figure out how to grill lettuce! The only small issue we had was the table arrangement. There was a beautiful window above our table but our reservation was right at sunset which meant I had to wear my sunglasses inside for part of the meal. We also checked out the back bar and outside space which were both very lovely. I would highly recommend this place!
Made reservations for restaurant week...food was very good. Enjoyed the venue very much. Will definitely be back.
I was expecting great and it was just OK. Nothing was bad, but also nothing I was excited about eating. The menu did an unusually poor job of describing the dishes.
We went for restaurant week and had been wanting to try Revival for a while. We were seated in the side building which was really disappointing. The restaurant itself is beautiful but there is no ambiance in the side building. Food was good but it was slow due to a large crowd for restaurant week. Very disappointing. We should have asked to wait for another table. We did have a reservation btw.
The food here was delicious, but the service was a bit slow. The acoustics are a bit off, probably because it used to be a house, so it does tend to be a bit loud. But the food is worth it!
Good but a little underwhelming again. I really enjoyed the entree except the giant piece of fat I had in my bowl. We'll give it another chance.
The ambiance was beautiful, set in an old vintage building with faint live music from the porch. However, the restaurant was so hot that my entire party had physical sweat on them. The food was fair, but every appetizer and entree was set on a huge bed of spring mix.. so the actual food aspect was small. Our server was kind and personable, but halfway through our meal, she brought the desserts. She apologized and said the kitchen forced them out on her, since they’d be closing soon, but to not feel rushed. As a server, I felt bad that she had to do that. The kitchen should not have forcefully made the guests feel rushed. Our reservation was only for 9:15 and we were eating at a normal pace.
Restored historic house is beautiful. Very loud because the place was packed. Food was good but slightly small portions, especially for the price. I guess that just means we will reserve this place for fancy, special occasions.
Beautiful night on the patio, great food, nice music, lovely evening
I got together with a friend for restaurant week. We originally were seated indoors. The tables were too close for comfort and I’m not sure if there was no air conditioning or if it wasn’t working but it was so hot and stuffy we asked to be seated outdoors instead. The staff were polite and made sure we were ok. They were pretty busy this day! The food was ok
My husband & I dined here during restaurant week. Everything was very fresh & tasty. Each course came out at a relaxed pace. They were quite busy but the server was outstanding. He kept us informed about each course & made sure we had plenty of water to drink. The drink prices are reasonable. I had a glass of their Cabernet Sauvignon which was awesome. For our main entrees my husband had shrimp & grits and I had the beef short ribs. Each dish was very awesome and full of flavor.
Loved the food and the server was excellent. Fred did a super job not rushing us, was very attentive and not annoying.
I'd definitely go back.
The food was amazing. The decor is just right. And the service was top notch. The owners came over and some with us. The wait staff too extra lengths to work with a child in our party who is a picky eater. All in all, A+
Celebrated my mom’s bday with brunch. Food was great. We sat on the patio. It was a beautiful day and the atmosphere was perfect. The service was a bit slow. But the servers were very nice.
Really enjoyed the experience at Revival. The owners have done a nice job on providing a variety of different seating options (outdoor, high top, standard, etc) as well as creatively decorating the place for an enjoyable dining experience. The service was solid, though as things got busier, seemed like they were still ironing out some kinks in busing, etc. Not a big deal. Food was excellent from the salad to the daily special which was tuna and scallops with unbelievable green beans and a creative salad. Outstanding. The lamb bolognese came in second, but was still tasty. Quaint and welcoming, should hold its own as the revitalization of Lincoln continues.
Food was very flavorful. Service was excellent. Server knew menu well and offered good explanations and suggestions. Kitchen staff accommodated need of one in our party to have meat cut into bite sized pieces. Table and floor space were ample to allow guest with mobility issues to dine without cramping space of nearby diners.
From the first night they opened as a local resident have been going here food is and has been outstanding. Up until Friday service was very good, we had to eat onion soup with a fork, forgot our flat bread, brought the wrong drink. So was not a great night. Seems to be a complete turn over of staff. A bit sad to see this as it helps to have staff that know the place and the regular customers. Sadly the owner seems to not have the approach that the customer is always correct or even the most important. But the food is impeccable if the rest can be over looked. Hope it can make it, really enjoyed the first few months of great food good service and friendly faces.
I love dining at revival! The food is delicious, the service is amazing, and it’s a nice quiet place to have either a romantic dinner or to chat with your friends.
Great place. Good food. Great value.
This was our first time at the restaurant. We enjoyed the evening overall. We thought there were some interesting cocktails so we tried some, and they were excellent. While the wine selection was not extensive, there was a very good selection. Again, the menu was not extensive but there was a nice selection of entrees and we all thought the preparation and taste was excellent. We will definitely return and highly recommend Revival on Lincoln.
We had dinner there for my birthday and it was amazing. The ambience was great. The outside musician was very good and the food was so flavorful. We were very impressed and we will absolutely dine there again.
Our food was excellent and the entire meal itself was a great value. The noise level in the dining room was a little loud, but manageable. We really enjoyed Revival on Lincoln and we recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful location, bustling with diners. The food was outstanding with service to match! Will definitely go back.
Beautiful restored mansion. Great food and good service. What more do you eant?
Delighted with the menu - limited but prepared wonderfully. Ambiance is excellent and outdoor seating is a bonus. Definitely makes the list as one of Pittsburgh ‘s go to destinations.
Ordered the beef special medium rare; it arrived well-done. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he agreed, and then, instead of offering to replace, said that he would "tell the chef." When I persisted the waiter brought the exact same pieces of meat back, even more well-done. I then insisted upon a replacement, which was prepared , but even though it was not well done, it was so "chewy", that I could not eat it. I took it home where I was told that it was so tough that it was being given to the raccoon. No offer of any sort of financial adjustment or free dessert was made.
Great food and service!
Our whole party thoroughly enjoyed our food, drinks and experience at Revival. While it was my first trip there, my friends have all been there several times and recommended it. We went for brunch. I'm looking forward to going for dinner in the near future.
Excellent food. Outside seating was great! We have been happy with all of our brunch and dinner experiences here
Great food. Great atmosphere. Parking was easy for Sunday brunch. Would go again!
The restaurant is a very elegant place to dine. The service was top notch and the waiter was very helpful in deciding what to order. The pork chop was outstanding and so tender. It was to have sweet potatoes but since I do not care for them, he recommended the mashed potatoes and it was a great pick. The sangria was very light and refreshing. My friend had the special and she really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food.
This is my third visit to Revival - but certainly not my last. Brunch was a delight. Nice menu selection, friendly & efficient service, and the food was great. I very much appreciate the "Revival" of this beautiful building.
Beautiful old house however I don’t think there is AC. I was very hot while eating dinner. I was sweating and couldn’t really wait to leave to get cooled off. I ordered a meat entree and asked for medium well. I received medium rare so didn’t eat it. The waiter didn’t come back till everyone was finished with dinner pretty munch. He noticed it wasn’t cooked right and asked if I wanted to send it back. At that point no since everyone was done. So took it home and gave it to my husband who likes it that way. The potato and green beans were good and the appetizer was good as well. I would give the place a second chance maybe go back in the autumn when I won’t be so hot inside the restaurant.
Hi Amber, we apologize - we had an issue with our HVAC system which has since been repaired.
