Revival on Lincoln
We went there for my friend's birthday. I intend to return with my husband. It is such a lovely romantic restaurant.
Meeting with old friends
Food was good. It was very busy by the end of our meal but our waiter just disappeared. I’m assuming he was waiting on other tables but he completely ditched us. Food was overall pretty good. I didn’t care for the hummus with the bread..tasted store bought instead of fresh. Short ribs were very tender. Would definitely return.
A little pricey. Especially drinks. Food good. Waiter kept coming over felt like he was rushing us.
The food and service was very good my second time at the Revival.
The only thing was seated in the dark green room (dinner in the evening) I feel the room is
a little too dark it was hard to see your food and the person I was with. Just light the room a little bit more. With that being said I will come back even if the lighting doesn't change. I enjoy the Revival very much.
EXCELLENT and interesting menu/food! NOISY NOISY - Can you do something about this?
Overall, we enjoyed our two dinners, salads, soup and beverage. The service provided by Fred was excellent. We were originally drawn to Revival on Lincoln by the menu. We enjoy well-prepared vegetables and your menu offered many excellent options. The sauvignon blanc wine from New Zealand was also excellent. Even the complementary bread and hummus were outstanding.
The only negatives. It was very loud, seemingly too loud as it actually impeded conversation. The atmosphere, in terms of wall decorations, was very bland (minimalistic in a way) and did NOT add to our experience. The items were slightly too expensive, given the location and setting. We may still come back, however, because of the food, menu, and service!
The staff made the experience. Everyone was friendly, courteous, observant. Never hovering, ready when you were. The food was delicious.
The outside is imposing and welcoming at the same time. We were eager to go in and have a look around. Unfortunately, though, the interior we saw was institutional, not unlike a corporate lunchroom. What a terrific opportunity the owner had to create something memorable, but it was sadly squandered. The food was fine -- maybe not what you'd call innovative, but that's fine with me; it's tasty enough (the chicken I had was perfectly seasoned) -- and the service was excellent. If only they had devoted as much time and thought to restoring the inside as they did the outside, they would have a popular "destination" restaurant.
Beautiful venue! Food was delicious!
Way too noisy. Waiter was too busy to bother with a table of just two people. We had to keep flagging done the hostess for drink refills. Dessert took 25minutes come
The Revival was a great eating out experience. We went with friends, 3 couples title. The girls liked the cosmopolitans and the wine selections, the cocktails and beer selections were great.
The menu selections were original and outstanding, the serving sizes were perfect. Al in all a great evening out we were there for three hours and shared two great deserts.
A night out to be remembered.
First time here, and it wasn't great. The house was nice, good location but the food just wasn't great. Dry chicken, overcooked vegetables, overly sweet sauce. It just wasn't great, tons of great restaurants in Pittsburgh and nearby, this just didn't cut it.
Wow..this place was fantastic. I had the beets and greens salad and the bucatini. My husband had the soup and short ribs. Both were so tasty and perfectly prepared. We will be back soon!
Food was quite good, nice menu, attentive staff, and an overall quality experience. I will return.
The kitchen was backed up due to a private party but the service and food made up for the wait.
Second visit. Was not a good experience. Extremely noisy inside. Large group in the main room and then a group of six who had a little too much to drink sat next to us. Could not carry on a conversation.
Staff was overwhelmed with the large group. Took 30 min to get a bottle of wine and over 40 min for simple appetizers.
Don’t think we will be back.
The restaurant was nicely done. We enjoyed our food and the service was great. We thought it was a good value for the price.
It's the nicest place to go in Bellevue. Food is wonderful- fresh and tasty. I'll go again!
This restaurant has the perfect balance between being a formal restaurant and a fun but business-casual too.
We were pleasantly surprised with this gem. The food was wonderful and the service very good even though they were short staffed. They couldn't find our open table reservation when we arrived but there was no problem getting a table. Thank you Revival and we will be back.
We had received a gift card for Christmas and finally decided to go for dinner. The ambience and decor were amazing... the food was sooo good!! We are looking forward to returning and trying other items on the menu!
Revival is an amazing restaurant! Tremendous food, ambience, and service! Matt is an excellent server! I highly recommend for special occasions, or just a really special evening! 5 Star for us! Thanks!
The atmosphere was understated elegance, which was comfortable at the same time.
The service was very good and our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly.
The food was exceptional in flavor, preparation and presentation.
We were a little undewhelmed by the the cocktails.
A fine dining restaurant in a marvelous old building, so great to see the restoration and renewal, the outdoor dining was very inviting. Outstanding Grilled Cesaur Salad, we both loved it and would return just for that dish. Cornbread Eggs Benedict was a delicious update to faithfull brunch dish. Mixed reviews on the Shrimp and Grits. While the shrimp and poached egg were done to perfection the carmelized onions and sherry glaze overwhelmed the dish with sweetness . Some heat would have balance it out. Wait staff were friendly and accommodating but needs just a bit more training on the "details" that make a dining experience just that much better. Overall a 4 out our 5 experience.
Sorry to see the brunch is being discontinued. It's a current favorite and first choice on a Sunday morning. Hope it comes back later in the year.
Excellent food, had the salmon. Will be back to dine again. Beautifully decorated.
The building is beautiful and the interior is equally beautiful and clean. We had a seasonal appetizer of shishito peppers, they were great! We ordered the 2 offered soups, the specials of the sirloin and sea bass, the short rib, and finally the creme brulee. Everything was delicious. Our waiter was great, but his fingernails were extremely dirty. Some other waitstaff was lacking proficiency but overall, we were extremely satisfied and will be visiting again.
We were seated at a quaint table in the bar next to the service door to the patio. It slammed closed about 3x per minute. The staff was oblivious to it. Cocktails were good. Cheese plate app was also excellent. The wait for main course was extraordinarily long. The beef rib was divine. The pork chop not so much. It tasted like it was fried in bacon grease. The wine list lacks imagination. We drank a Zin from Paso that was good, not great. After dinner we waited a long time with empty glasses for the check.
The location and building is awesome. Great venue. The owner is on site. It was hard to see teaming amongst the staff. The menu is safe. I feel it could be so much more creative. I’ll give it a second chance sometime down the road.
Bottom line is that I expected to be amazed and I wasn’t. But I think with a few tweets and a little imagination, I just might be.
Expensive but unique experience. Food is good. Service is a bit slow. Lovely ambience
Good food. Live music. Very reasonable. Will return.
My wife & I have been several times now. They have a good drink program and we’ve always been happy with the food. Nice people and a beautiful building. You should check it out.
Excellent service from Sean. His recommendations were perfect and he was very attentive. The food was delicious. The pork was moist and the bacon on top was a Perfect touch. The shrimp is always a nice choice and we’ve enjoyed it at previous visits.
Cocktails Before dinner were tasty. Enjoyed the ambience
We went for a birthday but have been several times before. By far our favorite restaurant in the area. We’ve never had anything but an amazing meal. Their salmon and short rib are always amazing but they seasonal and nightly specials are always good. Their mussels, pork belly and cauliflower salad (when it’s available) are some of my favorites. Their drinks are always perfect. And as a parent with a picky kid, their kid menu is perfect to keep them happy ( with Graeter’s ice cream for dessert). And not to mention they did an really great job on the restoration of the building. Looking forward to seeing what the upstairs works out to be. The patio is nice (I think more people would sit out there if it was covered but on not to hot or rainy days it’s beautiful). Their side room is good for a small to medium party.
These people were incredibly accommodating. I had a reservation for 2, arrived as 4, and ultimately we were 6. No problem. Two arrived after most patrons had eaten on a weeknight, and were able to order dinner. We sat outside in wonderful weather and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
This was our first visit to Revival but will not be our last. The surroundings are lovely, the staff very attentive. The brunch menu has some nice twists on familiar classics. I had the cornbread eggs benedict. While I found the cornbread and tomato? jam combination a bit sweet, the dish was overall creative and tasty. The accompanying green salad and potatoes were just right. My friend enjoyed the shrimp and grits and we didn't mind at all the Mr. King added another sip or two of Cava into our empty glasses. We will have to return soon to try the dinner menu.
Perfect place for brunch!!
We had eaten here previously and everything was fine. We arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated on the patio. For the next 25 minutes no one came to our table. The waiter served other tables around us but never made eye contact or spoke to us. Another couple next to us who arrived five minutes after us received the same treatment. We left.
We loved our first time at Revival. The food and service was great. Thank you, John, for giving us a tour of the building. We'll be back soon.
Expect quality over quantity. Sensible portions excellently cooked.
