Uncomfortable seating, loud music but great service and food. The items on the menu sound like strange combinations but everything we had was delicious! Will definitely return.
Such a fun place! The food is amazing and such a good value. Everything we got was delicious and we couldn’t decide what we liked best. The sautéed greens were a hit, the fried chicken was a mix of sweet/salty, the short rib rice bowl was a great size and had really good flavor, and the scallop fried rice was a surprising favorite with the asparagus addition.
Cocktails were amazing too! Mom loved the smooth operator and I enjoyed the Lay low.
My only recommendation- our food came out before our drinks (we did order them at the same time- so not a huge deal) but it would have been nice to split them out.
Also, I brought my parents and was concerned that the music would be too loud reading other reviews- my parents didn’t seem to have a problem (even when I asked)- would have loved to bring friends because it has a great vibe!
Will be back!!!
We shared small plates and entrees, in order to sample as much of the menu as we could. We particularly enjoyed the fried chicken, seaweed noodles, and the mu shu potstickers. The service was friendly and attentive. Our only complaint was over the noise level. This is a small space and the music (while good) was VERY loud. We get the theme of the place (boomboxes and an oversized cassette tape decorate the space), but it was nearly impossible to have any level of conversation with the volume it was played at. Just wish they had turned it down a touch.
That chicken is soooo good! Don’t be a fool - get the chicken.
Fantastic food and killer cocktails. The live DJ Saturday night was on point.
Awesome food, service was great, and I really enjoyed the in house DJ.
The food was great!
we are visiting from bc Canada, My girlfriend and I love Korean foods and we were excited to check the restaurant as it is Korean chef's twisted version of Korean street style food.
The interior, music(DJ), and the bartender were all really great. We got somaek and we were happy to se hite beer. But the food was disappointing and there were lack of Korean inspired foods.
1.Mrs. Yang's fried chicken, fried chicken, was pretty good with fried peanuts and the spice sauce.
2. 떡볶이, rice cake, was fried rice cake which didnt really have flavour on it. I liked to crunchiness of the rice cake. But the sauce was a bit bland.
3. Short rib rice bowl was a little better. It came with radish kimchi, short rib, rice.
I know where it came from but the flavour really didn't mix together. Also again the bulgogi sauce was bland too.
We were deeply disappointed by the food and hope that was just one time mistake on our food.
This is a super fun spot to take friends from out of town. It's young and hip, the music is loud and mostly hip hop. The food is really tasty and good spins on asian food.
This was an excellent choice for Asian Fusion Food. The meals were delicious, pleasing to look at, and prepared as you wait. Wait Staff was very attentive and was helpful with choices. I would definitely come back again
This is my 3rd time at Revelry, and I love it even more, now that I've tried almost everything on the menu.
The fried chicken is amazing, that goes without saying. Then noodles are divine, the kimchi pancake is a must, and the tuna bowl was exceptional. Bummed they were not serving the s'more after 10, next time!
Don't miss out on this place, if you love good food, great music, and a cool ambiance....Revelry is it.
Definitely will eat here again. Enjoyed the pleasant staff and presentation, and the interesting mix of savory and sweet in the Korean inspired dishes we tried. If you are a Kim Chee fan, you won’t be disappointed with the tasty and fresh picked cabbage served here. Definitely try Auntie Yang’s fried chicken—-huge portion of crunchy praline-garnished boneless chicken pieces was enough for two.
Fun place. We plan to eat there again. Service was friendly and efficient. Chicken and spicy beef noodles were our favorites. Creative cocktails.
Amazing food and great cocktails. Fun music and atmosphere
Love the food and drinks here. Mrs. Yang's chicken and the crab noodles are AMAZING, and if you make it for happy hour they have a drink called Too Close that is fabulous.
the food was great and very well priced during happy hour, as were the drinks!
Music was slightly loud. Service was great, attentive and friendly
Love the spicy chicken!!
Amazing food! excellent cocktails. great service. and....best fried chicken ever!!
The quality of the food is worth the price but the happy hour specials allow me to go more often and stay within my budget. The Mrs. yangs fried chicken was even better than expected and was the perfect flavor/spicy combination. That paired with a simple tallboy makes for a great happy hour on a Tuesday! Will be back!
Awesome vibe and awesome food. One of my fave places!
I love the food at Revelry! I always dreamed of coming back so when my friends decided to visit from Hawaii, I had to take them here. The food was the best part of the night, however, our seaweed noodles were chewy and hard to eat. I didn’t complain because we were hungry and the Yangs fried chicken masked the weird texture of the noodle. The drinks were made very well. Our server was nice and welcoming but not gregarious. Overall, I’m giving this experience a 4 because the noodles could’ve been cooked more and the service could’ve been a little better.
Did the Portland Dining Month menu and the food was outstanding. Only complaints are the wait staff 1) could’ve provided more info on my husband’s drink (to let the juice cube melt some first) and 2) brought our frozen and hot desserts out mid main course and offered to take our mains away when we were clearly still working on them.
Nice place, nice staff. DJ was in the house when we were there. The food was great.
Amazing food and loved the vibe in the restaurant! I can’t wait to go back!!!
This was the BEST Dining Month value we have had in years of participating in Dining Month! The amount of food was very generous, unique and delicious. The drink offers were unique and very tasty.
The service was the surprise element - the gentleman at the door greeted us warmly and was very quick to accommodate our desire to change tables. The woman who was our server did so with a lack of warmth, cheer or even interest. It was our first time at the restaurant and any questions we tried to ask were answered briefly and curtly. The food saved the day - it was outstanding!
Amazing, yummy, fun! Had a great time. Have already told several folks about Revelry :-)
Disapointing. Not chreap. So-so food. Very small portions.
Revelry is one of those rare places where even though we tried 9 different dishes, there was nothing we wouldn't happily order again. The friend chicken was a favorite among favorites.
So delicious! We enjoyed the dining around Portland deal. The deal came with kimchi, yams, carrots, fried chicken, Dan Dan noodles, pork rice bowl and lava cake....portions were generous. We were so happy to have had enough for lunch the next day. Can’t wait to go back!
Went there for dining month and the service was top notch. We we with two young children and they were totally accommodating and even asked if we need to adjust the spice level for the kiddos. The cocktails were great, food was plentiful, and ambiance was nice. The friend chicken was delicious and paired with the ginger chicken rice bowl, simply delicious. Loved it.
This was the first time we've dined at Revelry - great food, good music - excellent drinks - good service. It's not the place for everyone as the music is definitely R- Rated Hip Hop which I really like, but I could see other guests that were "uncomfortable" with the explicit lyrics. Probably should have a warning label of some kind. I wouldn't have wanted to take a work guest there. But the food was outstanding!!
Went for Portland dining month- outside of one of the appetizers you really could look elsewhere. They lead with the fried chicken with peanut brittle which honestly is it’s shining star. Unfortunately, they lead with this which sets up the palet for more bang in flavor but the follow up appetizers are bland and do not match up to the fried chicken. Ironically they go with strong flavors like Pickling and horseradish but it’s very bland after a heavy vinegar based spicy chicken. Lastly is a noodle dish I had and it again had lots of pickle and vinegar and veggies and even diced apple which seemed both like a lovely sweet addition and an after thought to finish what they had it in the kitchen. It was out of place. The chili was almost spicy. Dessert was a tiny drizzled mint guava pop. The drizzle overpowered the pop and the sprinkles were worthless-like why? And the mint you could smell and not taste. I won’t return to this place unless it’s for the chicken. Not worth my chance at Portland dining month.
The fried chicken was amazing, the rest was just OK.
Hipster Korean food. I took hs students from rural Oregon. Loved the fried chicken, of course. The rest was very tasty for me, not so much for the kids.
The food was excellent. I went for the portland dining month thing and it is such a great value for 33 bucks. I left full for certain. The chicken is so yummy and the egg yolk on the rice bowl is magic. I got the molten lava cake for dessert and it was mouth watering. The cream on top had me savoring each bite. My only complaints are that the cocktail I got was not very good, the place is too loud, and I did see the bartender randomly touching the mouth portion of wine glasses when they were bored. Overall very good and I will return.
Food is yummy. Drinks and one of thr food items are a bit overpriced.
Food was great but the ambience was assaultive with music that was “ mother f-Ing this and that and the “N-Word” every other word.
I love Revelry! The atmosphere and food is really playful. I love the modern take on Korean food. The spicy fried chicken is amazing and I hope it never leaves the menu. The cocktails are also great. The pricing is spot on!
Had a great meal. Thanks
We love Revelry but had not so good service this time. We had a reservation for 6:45 but didn't get seated until 7:30. The food took another 25 minutes, not good at all. Although we love the food, we don't want another experience like this...
