   Working off the reviews, it could have been an off night, but I was disappointed in the menu presentation (very worn sheets and dirty), limited signage to get to the bathroom, the general appearance of the restaurant (in the bar, there was a mirror above the table with 5-6 scratches on it. My first impression was: could the owners have lost interest in this place? We ordered the green papaya and asparagus salad and the pea vine salad. They were both tasty enough but not " knock your socks off". The presentation was lacking. Our Coulotte steak 8 oz. was cooked to a very nice medium rare, but at least 3 pieces of it was grisly and chewy. The sunchoke chips were not momentous, the sauce- just okay. For $34, the dish lacked finesse. The service was attentive, and when I made a comment about the steak, the waiter was quick to respond and promised a discount but actually took it off our check. What a great waiter! Responsive to the customer's needs. I chose this place because I've heard great things about Rachel Yang. I've worked in a few restaurants in my career and not sure if I would return here. Sorry :(

   Such flavorful and innovative cuisine! We found the prices to be reasonable given the expensive Seattle restaurant market. We will be back.

   Came for restaurant week and the food was excellent my black cod and wontons were absolutely amazing! Service was solid, tables were a little close so it wasn’t totally intimate but still comfortable to talk. It was definitely pricey so expect to hurt a little from that but worth it now and again!

   Everything we tried was delicious. Great flavors and textures. We celebrated our daughter's birthday and they brought out a cake and candle, on the house.

   I had not been to Revel or Joule in years and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as I remember. The pancakes were mushy, the tuna overcooked, everything else was just ok (short rib bowl and dumplings, cauliflower) except for the crab noodles, which were tasty. I can get similar or better versions of some of these dishes at my local Korean restaurant, so I was disappointed. My cocktail special, the shiso mojito, was not good either. Watered down and no flavor. We had one of each dessert. The basque cheesecake had an interesting texture and flavor, but could have used a brighter sauce. The almond cake with the sauce wasn’t bad, but alone, ate a little dry. Not a fan of the fried ice cream. The ice cream had no flavor and the fried accompaniment tasted like fryer oil. Sadly, I won’t be returning unless they make some changes to the food and drinks. Service was ok.

    Outstanding food. Well-spaced tables. Excellent service. There is a 22% service charge which is shared by the servers and the back of the house. Additional tip is optional.
