Music was so loud you can’t hear yourself talk. Service was AWFUL- waitress took forever to take our order. When it finally arrived she never once checked on us or asked if we’d like another drink. My gnocchi was over cooked and mushy. We had to walk over to her where she was fussing with the silverware drawer and request the check. The restaurant was not busy and there were plenty of empty tables. This is the second time I tried this restaurant after a similar experience. Needless to say, I won’t be returning
Everything was perfect. Beautiful place, friendly and efficient staff, food was amazing.
Can’t wait to go back.
A new favorite.
We sat waiting for 10/15 mins before I had to ask someone to take drink order. The music was a bit loud. The food was great! My wife loved the scallop risotto and the skirt steak was delicious.
We went to REVEL for Mother’s Day brunch. There were 6 of us, 5 adults and 1 child. The ambiance is great! Our server was fantastic. But the amount of money we paid for the brunch was not worth it. We had to send a few things back which we never do. The chicken fingers and fries we got for our seven-year-old had a “burnt” taste like either the oil was bad or burnt and were inedible, and the creme brûlée I got as part of the brunch package tasted like it was spoiled was also inedible. The waffles in the chicken and waffles that were supposed to be “fluffy” were mushy. There was not enough lobster in the raviolis and the sauce was plain and heavy. The rest of the choices were a blur and nothing I can remember. We have been wanting to try Revel and were really looking forward to trying It for the first time but were disappointed. Our server tried his best to make up for our disappointment with our meals. We hope that the regular menu at Revel is better but probably won’t return there to try it.
This place is terrible and I recommend avoiding at all costs. Food is GROSS and cold, staff is rude. I was brought eggs benedict instead of the Royale Benedict and when I pointed this out they went back in and merely swapped the ham for salmon and brought the dish back out. As someone who doesn’t eat meat that was just gross and upsetting. Thennnn not only was the dish cold and the English muffin soggy with little bits of ham, but the eggs were NOT COOKED and were oozing the clear uncooked egg whites. My mother found a hair in her steak and eggs, the tater tots were frozen, everything came out cold. The wait staff were rude and unhelpful and the maitre d talked back when I was calmly explaining the issues. We were comped one entree price (which are highly overpriced for such poor quality) but it was not about the money. This place is horrendous all around.
The service was good - nice waiter. We were there for Mother's Day. Both my mom and I wanted the seafood omelette but unfortunately they were out of one of the key ingredients - the crab meat. Our reservation was 12:45 so we were a bit surprised they were already out of something. We both still had it and we were offered more of one of the other seafood ingredients (lobster or shrimp) so that was nice. Mimosa was great, the Bloody Mary was good too. Energetic vibe - a bit loud but fun.
Brunch on Mother’s Day was delicious. Appetizers were proportionate. Main course of chicken and waffles were plentiful. Had to take half home for leftovers. Bottomless mimosas kept coming...my glass was never empty. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back.
It was the first time my husband and I went here. My friend has gone a couple of times. Really Cool place , it is a little loud. But great for groups. The food was very good. Had the Tokyo Nachos with Tuna delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our dinners very much. The drinks were good as well, s little more expensive than other places we have gone to. Overall it was very good.
The food here was amazing. I have to be gluten free and my meal was fantastic so I decided to book a party here. Great wine list too.
This restaurant has the best food in NY, if you are looking for semi high class this is it!
I’ve been here serveral times and had great times. Our server Daisy was not focused! Her assistant didn’t help. She took half the order for half the parties separate time, no utensils for some guests, kept having to correct her with the orders. Just wasn’t attentive. Poor customer service. Celebrated a graduation which was stated on reservations and absolutely no mention of it or asked who the person was. Skipped desert because of that and the poor service!
The food was very good. The service was excellent. We went to try it out on restaurant week. The only unfortunate thing was that at least 1/3 of the choices had upcharges. We would have been happy to pay full price on a regular night, but we wanted to learn if we even liked the restaurant before we spent a small fortune there. It would be kinder to have left off the upcharges or put less expensive items on the menu if you (the restaurant) felt you couldn't "afford" the short ribs, skirt steak or salmon to be a loss leader. I'm sure many won't return because of the "bait and switch" of 29.95 turned into $42.99 or more.
We visited for the restaurant week promotion. The choices were pleasing to everyone in the group. Unfortunately, the steak, which was an up charge was chewy and over cooked, the chicken and chorizo paella didn’t have much chorizo, eggplant chips were very greasy. The atmosphere was much better than the food. Since we were a group of 6, the tip was already included and our service wasn’t as attentive as it should have been. I would probably not go back.
We were having a weekday dinner during the restaurant week. Mike was our waiter and did a good job to take care our drinks and order. The mussels were cooked well and serve hot. Black linguine with seafood were both tasty and spicy . The paella was a disappointment that was obviously not cooked in the pan. The staff were friendly . The place may be too noisy to have conversation. This place is great for groups.
The hostess was rude. They left me a message to confirm my reservation even though it was already confirmed through Open Table. When I called back I was hung up on by two different people. The restaurant was less than half full so it’s not like they needed the table. Then when we got there they never told Open Table that we showed up and I got an email saying I missed my reservation. The food was good, not great. It was so noisy in the front that we asked to be moved to the back room. Unfortunately I probably won’t go back.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The octopus with warm chickpeas was just amazing. Everyone loved the food. Service was well-timed and friendly, drinks were great.
The marinated flatiron steak was really good - ordered medium rare and it was perfect!
First of all, the ambiance was amazing. Each table had beautiful yellow tulips in the center, which complemented the teal chairs perfectly. The chandeliers added the right amount of lighting. It felt upscale but cozy and welcoming at the same time. The menu was diverse, so a good place to go if you have people with different palates. The food was delicious! The service was attentive, but didn’t rush us out when we finished, so that was nice. Definitely have to go back again!
We went on Easter Sunday with a party of 6 and a 13 month baby. The staff was very accommodating and the food was excellent. The noise level was a bit loud, but the room was not full at 4:15 in the afternoon so we could hold a conversation. The only petty gripe was that the online menu did not match the house menu, so I could not get the lobster bisque. Bottom line is not to get your hopes up online.
Easter Brunch was amazingly delicious! A feast for the eyes AND stomach!
Very nice Easter brunch. Food was amazing and service was terrific. Nice time for all.
Food and service great as always. Will be back.
Terrible service for ambiance and cost of food. Skirt steak was like wasting a leather sneaker, Jordan I’s!
I was there on my lunch break. The bartender was very helpful and wheat she suggested to eat was perfect.
Had the tuna special for lunch and it exceeded by expectations. There were so many things on the menu that we wanted to try, so now we have to go back numerous times!! Waitress was beyond wonderful!
Greeted with a smile, great service and a terrific dinner.
Can’t go wrong at Revel.
Great ambiance. Always wanted to check it out here, But was disappointed. Quantity of food was good but the quality was not great! Food came out very fast but I didn’t like my dish or my date dish. The music was way too loud, not sure if this is just a Saturday night thing. But if you’re going on a date and want to have a conversation without shouting this is not the place to go. So it seemed like everyone was shouting. Great ambiance but don’t think I’ll be going back there.
I chose REVEL to have my birthday dinner in February; now I need the food and ambiance on regular nights. Fine dining close to home!
Need to install shades in the front windows . The glare of the sun was very disturbing during the meal.
Food was not great but the vibe, ambiance and service were good
Pros: Revel has a wide menu with something for everyone. Makes it an easy place to go. I haven't gone to Revel in awhile, but will be back in the near future. Great service, good food, fun drinks. It was a great way to enjoy our Friday night.
Cons: It is noisy. Prices are on the high side.
The food was excellent, and great sized portions, actually enough to share ,service was wonderful, will definitetly be back!!!
Drinks came out after food. Drinks were good, the waiter didn’t even check on us. I asked for medium well, I got medium rare. Server said he couldn’t give us a discount because no managers were there. Food was cold. He offered us free gelato instead. Place is super overpriced for crap food.
I was at Revel on a date. The food, drinks and service were good. We’ll be going back.
My fiancé and I had our 4 year anniversary dinner. The food was incredible, the service could not have been any better, the only issue was the room was fairly noisy. Not at any fault of the staff of restaurant, we just maybe should've asked for a table in the back room.
Amazing service, food and drinks! Love the ambiance and definitely the truffle fries!
