Our experience was a positive one, we had our team holiday lunch at Revel and everyone seemed to really enjoy the choice of restaurant. The food was really good with the exception of the homemade chips, which were too salty and we could not finish those. Our server was very attentive and personable. The food all came out how it was ordered. We will plan another team lunch for sure. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

The food was good, but I think our waiter picketed our order as only 1/2 the food came out and then we waited 15 minutes for the rest of it. So 2 at our table were done eating before the rest of the food good there. Nice kid though, otherwise I would have scored lower. He still got his tip and we did not complain.

Knew we were in trouble when we walked in and the host/manager never even looked up to greet us. Then took us to a table where dirty dishes still sat on the table next to ours. By the way, the restaurant was dead at the time. We then moved to a high top where we waited for a server to come which never happened. Went to the bar to get our own drinks. Then finally, after getting waited on, we wait for our food (we all ordered burgers) and they were all cold! Really disappointing!

Revel should not be promoted as anything other than a bar. It was incredibly noisy and crowded, even in the dining area. Food quality, value and service were fine, but not the place for a dressed-up couple's special night out!

Business Breakfast meeting with a party of 6. Our waiter was attentive but the time between ordering and food delivery was incredibly SLOW. And the orders showed up very piecemeal which forced some in the group to watch their food getting cold while we waited for other items to arrive. The restaurant was not busy at the time so it appeared to be a kitchen which was understaffed or just unprepared to handle multiple orders at one time.

Food quality was decent for the main egg entrees such as omelets, etc. But the "hashbrowns" were clearly some sort of frozen pre-chopped / tiny "potatoes" that were thrown into a deep fat fryer. Not the quality you would expect for the price! Considering that the breakfast is already overpriced, the slow service and mediocre food quality does not make this a very good option for breakfast.

NOTE - I stay at the Hilton Garden Inn almost monthly and have eaten many Dinners at Revel which have been quite good, so they are capable of putting out good meals with good service. But they really need to improve on their Breakfast.

I took my son to Revel to celebrate his birthday. We started with appetizers - the brussel sprouts and pulled pork crostini. Both were delicious, but be aware that they are called shareables and the portion of each will feed at least three people. For entrees, we had the bacon-wrapped scallops and mixed grill platter. Everything was fresh, unique and delicious. My advice is one shareable appetizer is plenty for two people if you intend to order entrees, too. Our waiter was a little disappointing. She didn't know enough about the menu items to give us any advice. Maybe she's new to the restaurant, but you expect a knowledgeable waiter at a place like this.

Ambiance, very good. Price, very good. Took almost 1.15 hours to be served. Most everyone was satisfied with their meal. Drink was sent back twice. Table we were seated at totally out of level and almost tipped over - they fixed this. We have eaten there three times. I don't know if we will a fourth. Service so slow we were worried we wouldn't make 8:00 event (we arrived at 5:45).

Order 4 small plates to come first and then 2 larger plates to come after. Server was very nice and comped is a round of wine for the 4 of us. The food however was not good. Scallops were ok but grits were cold, wings were horrifically dry, steak was chewy and full of fat, Brussels sprouts were ok but not very flavorful. First time, won’t be back.

i will say that the food was excellent but there were only probably 20 people in the restaurant and the food and drinks too forever. We split some communal plates and they were fun and different as well as very good but there really wasn't any reason for the service to be so slow. We would have had another drink had we been offered so just give yourself some time but I would go to try it out.

The atmosphere was great and the food amazing. Our only complaints are about the service. Our server didn't return to take my drink order after I had said I would be ordering something. Another server finally stopped and asked us if we needed anything after 20 minutes. We had to ask for napkins and silverware after we'd been there for half an hour - they hadn't cleaned and reset our table from the previous guests. Our server delivered our entrees and then didn't check on us until we were almost done and he didn't offer us dessert. Overall we felt somewhat neglected, but will give it a second chance because everything else was great!

Everything about the experience was sub par. Food cold. Service was lacking, even though I do feel training was occurring to a new server, but probably a better time to conduct that than on a busy Saturday dinner service.

Ordered the mixed grill but the steak came out cold as did the shrimp. Also ordered the scallops wrapped in bacon. The bed that the scallops were on was potentially the most bland thing I have ever eaten. Dry unflavored cardboard ish. Terrible. Couldn’t eat it.

After receiving the cold food, I weighed my options of telling the server knowing if I sent back I wouldn’t see it for another 10-15 minutes and by then would be checked out from the meal vs eating a cold steak and grilled shrimp. Option b was chosen as the waiter didn’t return for 10 minutes to check on the meal, at which point I knew if I sent it back then, that I would have to wait another 30 minutes for new food.

So I decided to make another reservation and mark it as a loss and move on from a bad restaurant that has much potential. I would not recommend but I do recommend training your wait staff better or kitchen staff to work as a team. I would rather receive my meal in two parts rather than having half of it (the more expensive part) arrive cold and lifeless. Also it is key to check on your customers. They shouldn’t have to look around and hope to locate one of your few waiters to have them resolve an issue.

What you save understaffing and under training, you lose in lost customers, lost tips, lost referrals from word of mouth, lost additional purchases due to good service, and lost opportunities for return business.

We had set reservations ahead and when we arrived we were seated instantly. The server was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered a burger, pork chop, and steak & frites. This is our second time coming to this location but, first at Revel. We will be back and definitely recommend it for a great spot for a get together

Food was great, service was attentive in the price of both the food and wine were very reasonable. It was not very crowded for a Saturday evening before theater which worried us because we would like to return and not sure if that volume of people on a Saturday night would be enough to sustain a restaurant.

Waitress was good, but main courses took forever to come out. The tuna sandwich was served still frozen.. and a 2nd attempt came out without any grill/sear marks. Other courses were good, charcuterie, brussesls, salad, soup, steak, but the long wait for entrees put a damper on the experience. Waitress tried to be accommodating. On complaint manager was apologetic, but no comp offered for >45min wait for entree or frozen fish.

Indifferent if we would refer to someone else. This was the first time my husband & I were there. Josh was a good server, however I plead with the manager NOT to have your server meeting on the floor for everyone to hear & while we are waiting for service. It put a very bad reflection on the place. We as well as other tables were there waiting for service. Finally ordered and got drinks 20 minutes later. Everything else was good. Just a shame for our first visit. We were on a time limit for the Carrie Underwood concert. Had reservations at 5:00.

The food was ok with a few interesting choices. Overall it was noisy, tightly bunched with bar patrons unafraid of raiding the dining area and a bit pricey for the offerings. It was rather uncomfortable with tightly placed tables and not really conducive to dining. It’s like the dining room is an afterthought to the alcohol. There are better in town for the money.

Even though we had a reservation, it was like they didn't know we were there. We were seated quickly and yet it took me staring down the bartender to even get glasses of water for our table. The bartender ended up being our server, but because she was busy bar-tending as well, couldn't pay much attention to us. The other servers did not seem interested in taking over either. The food was fine - but not terrific - and I've had better cocktails. The Hot Metal Martini was good but the Old Fashioned wasn't even drinkable. My husband did enjoy his salmon entree, however my salad was mediocre. I would go back if we were with another party that wanted to go there but there are plenty of better options downtown to choose from.

The restaurant was very pretty, quiet, nice setting. The food was great however the service was BAD. Our waiter was knowledgeable but also the bartender. It was not busy and there were plenty of servers. He was not attentive, took a half hour to bring our drinks and someone else finally brought our food after an hour. I would still recommend this restaurant even though we had a bad experience with a waiter bc the food was good they do however do need to pick up the pace on the speed of service.
