As tourists to Pittsburgh, Revel was highly recommended for a nice dinner in the downtown area. It was very quiet for a Thursday evening at 7 pm, prime dining time, which seemed surprising with the nice decor and beautiful bar area. Perhaps the rain deterred what would be the usual crowd. Anyway, we found the wine menu to be a very good value -- they even point out the $30 bottles! The vegetarian flatbread was quite literally the best flatbread we've had anywhere! I had the spinach strawberry salad with a crab cake on top for my main dish, and my husband had the steak au poivre. They weren't as top notch as the flat bread, but good, and both were a very good value. And the service was great!

I was extremely impressed with the service. The food was very good. I ordered a filet and it came out in a 4 ounce piece instead of an 8 ounce piece and before I could even pick up my fork, they brought me another full 8 ounce steak and apologized for the size of the first one. Great spot all around.

Excellent experience for a business lunch. Great wait staff and food was perfectly prepared, including for a person in our party with some special dietary needs.

Food and service were fantastic. Everything was fabulous and all the food was cooked to perfection. I mean filet, prime rib, omelette station, waffle station, plus all the normal breakfast and lunch items, salad bar, dessert table, and full bar. Variety of selections was top notch. One of the best brunches I’ve been to in a long time.

My pork chop was cooked perfectly and delicious. My husband’s steak was not cooked evenly and only half of it was medium rare. The other half was cooked well done.

The Brussels sprouts starter was delicious and a large amount of food. Highly recommend if you like sprouts! Wine selection was good and fair pricing. Service was speedy and attentive without being overwhelming. Only slight issue I had was the steak. It was cooked to the right temp, but it was tough and the toppings were a bit bland, so not what I was expecting for the price. Again, overall pleased with Revel and would certainly go back when I’m in town again.

Easter brunch was an overpriced continental generic hotel “brunch.” Not worth the price of over $400 for 8 people, where coffee and non alcoholic drinks were an extra charge. Salad lettuce was brown, pastries were dry. Would not recommend for a planned brunch spot.

Brussels app was delicious! We devoured it! Entrees were also very tasty. Got the blackened salmon and sirloin au poivre. Only drawbacks: Portion size seemed a little inconsistent and the cocktails did not arrive in the correct glasses (Cosmo in sniffer, gimlet in mason jar).

We had a poor experience at revel. Our server took 45 minutes to get our table of 6’s drinks fully to the table. They were out of multiple food items and didn’t tell us until like 15 minutes after ordering. Our server rarely came back to the table and seemed to avoid checking in. Took us two hours to finish a meal.. then took them 25 minutes to give us our bill after asking. 0/10 would not recommended especially if your serves is aliesha
