This is your classic, everyday neighborhood French bistro run by Chef Paul Magu-Lecugy & his wife, Laura. That kind of cozy little place you’d imagine in Saint Michel or Saint Germain. Not smack dab in the middle of the 'burbs. But lucky for you, that’s exactly where 5-star chef Paul Magu will be paying homage to the French comfort food that he fell in love with as a boy growing up in Paris. I probably have had over 50 meals at Reve over the years. This is the only unsatisfactory - unacceptable dinner I have had here. Service was slow. Perhaps the kitchen is too small to handle the inside restaurant as well as the cramped outside so-called garden area. Outdoor seating is not comfortable. The chairs are too small and overly cheap. Also, my chair was not clean - the proof is the seat of my pants. I had lamb porterhouse which consisted of 2 bones with very little meat. I was tempted to give the bones to a nearby patron's well-behaved dog. The artichaut spread and opera cake were very good.

We really enjoy this restaurant and usually the food is outstanding. This trip it was ok for me. My husband enjoyed the sweetbreads but the chicken was ok and not traditional Coq au vin. Disappointed! The service was lacking and that was really disappointing . I think the chef and staff are ready for their two week vacation.

Ryan was a great server. He gave us good suggestions for food choices , including pros and cons. He had a good demeanor, not “stuffy.” We enjoyed the garden environment.

The atmosphere, ambiance, and service are top notch. The food is so good and nicely plated. We had the pork chop and the ever-delicious steak frits, along with a fresh and light nectarine salad. This is a favorite place to go for birthdays and anniversary, and we are never disappointed.
