This is your classic, everyday neighborhood French bistro run by Chef Paul Magu-Lecugy & his wife, Laura. That kind of cozy little place you’d imagine in Saint Michel or Saint Germain. Not smack dab in the middle of the 'burbs. But lucky for you, that’s exactly where 5-star chef Paul Magu will be paying homage to the French comfort food that he fell in love with as a boy growing up in Paris. This was our first time at Reve. We thought the food was good but not as good as places like Bistro Jeanty which is also a French restaurant located in Napa. The artichoke dip and pate were good. The Reve salad was fine but we found the dressing very acidic and lacking in balance. Our sever was ok. Not particularly friendly and seemed annoyed that we didn’t order cocktails. We’re wine drinkers and prefer that wine with dinner. The steak frites was very fatty but the fries were perfectly crisp. The rabbit which was a special was tasty as was the scallops and risotto. We enjoyed the patio dining.

Food was fantastic. But what sets this place apart is the servers. Ryan brought the menu to life, gave great recommendations, and just did an outstanding job.

The food was amazing and the service was top notch. We came for our anniversary and our server (Ryan) was knowledgeable, intuitive, personable, had great conversation. He gave us time to absorb the menu, paced the meal appropriately. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I have been dining at Reve for the past 9 years, with dear friends in the early years, and subsequently to celebrate our birthdays, wedding anniversaries and and even to ring in New Years (the limited bar seating is fun for that event). The food is consistently outstanding (Chef Paul Magu-Lecugy does an incredible job) and the service friendly and attentive. Reve is our absolute favorite small, intimate French restaurant. We hope it operates for many years to come.

After so many amazing reviews and friend recommendations, we were excited to eat there, but the food fell short in many ways. The french onion soup was good in flavor, but it was very watery. The mussels were blown open from being over cooked, the balance b/t cream and white wine was off, a broken cream sauce ended up dominating. My wife had the rabbit special, which was dry and tasted like it had been cooked a few days prior and then re-fired for dinner. The potatoes were dry and some were downright crunchy and not in a good way. Overall a disappointing experience. Maybe it was an off night. Wine and cocktail were great.

We've been dinning at Reve since it first opened. It has always been excellent, and last night was even better. It was outstanding! Everything was perfect!

We were a party of 5 and we sat in the outside, enclosed garden area which was very nice. I loved my scallops. The halibut looked good to and I would try that next time. Our server was great - very attentive and relaxed at the same time. I enjoyed the Pinot Noir wine flights. The french fries that came with the Steak Frites were perfect - soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and nice and salty. We had Opera Cake and Lemon Tart for dessert, both very yummy. I look forward to dining there again.
