Excellent food and wine in a lively atmosphere with attentive service.
A great place for celebrating Bastille Day!!! We always enjoy this restaurant with Paul & Laura & staff. Our waitress Sophie knows us so well by now - she is fantastic!!
Always consistently wonderful food! Loved the use of fresh seasonal and local fruits.
Marvelous food, charming server! We’ll be back!
It is ok good, not as good as many many places in the Bay area. Uninspired. Staff was efficient but not friendly.
I always enjoy going on a Tuesday night for the 50% off on bottles of wine.
Food was all on point. Service was warm gracious and didn't miss a beat. Drank some good wine and there is a great al fresco dining space.
Reve is a wonderful place for celebrating a special day. Going to Reve is like being in Paris having a great meal with equally wonderful service.
While the food was great, the outdoor patio setting was fantastic! Could have been a few more wines from Napa/Sonoma, Have already recommended it to both of my daughters. Look forward to coming back.
We go to a lot of restaurants (you can see how many on dishdining on Instagram) and this is one of our favorites.
First 2 courses were very good. The special main course was not as I had expected and a bit disappointing
We plan to return in the near future
The french onion soup, the beef bourgonoyne (sp?) and creme brulee were great. I wasn't in love with the sweetbreads.
The food is always good and the menu always has many interesting options which vary by season. The device is always good and personable. Good wine list and recommendations. We like to take advantage of the 50% off bottles of wine Tue and We’d so we can try wines we might not have otherwise.
It is our go- to special occasion restaurant. We just got engaged there on the 4th of July!
A charming venue in the garden now that the tent has been opened on the sides. Great menus!
The food was delicious it’s a great value service was a packable my favorite French restaurant
Our meal was super as always. Our waiter was not up to par. He missed putting down one of the entree’s and we had to wait after the others were served. They were also lax on picking up dishes when we were done. We go here often but it was off tonight. The food is true French and we’ll be back.
Great service and wonderful food!
My husband said the beef was the best he’s over had!
Reve's food is very French and very delicious. And it's such a quiet intimate place, fancy enough for a night out but casual enough that anyone would feel comfortable there. A very French wine list too --and all bottles are half price on Tuesdays so it was a great bargain. This is my favorite restaurant in Lamorinda, but it's tiny so reservations are a must!
The cold spring pea soup is so refreshing and perfect for a warm evening. The Bouillabaisse was a fun special and the peach/almond tarts was a wonderful end to the meal. Always a lovely dining experience!
this is second time we tried Reve. We enjoyed the food very much staff was very attentive and friendly. Only thing that was not pleasant was the seating. Tables were too close where you are bumping into other customers.
The food at Revé Bistro is amazing. Everything we had was delicious. We ate on the patio and it was really nice. The only thing I would do differently is I would add a vegetarian entrée and a vegan entrée.
There were three starters and three entrees at our table, Two of the starters included crab, and it seemed very little could be found. Of the entrees, two were successful. My Bouillabaisse was mediocre, and fish overcooked. Some tasted stale. Would never order it again, nor recommend it. This is my second time at this restaurant, and the first time was terrific. I'm going to give it one more try in hopes this was an off night.
Deliciously prepared French cuisine. Quality never fails here. I’ve eaten here often and will continue to do so. Tonight it was bouillabaisse and coq au vin, both very good. I love ordering mussels here too. Good wine list and cocktails.
Reve was a dream! Our waitress was kind, fun and accommodating. The food was exceptional, especially the rack of lamb. The rack had a wonderful lamb favor (some lamb is bland and flavorless) and the chef let its natural flavor come through and cooked it to a perfect medium rare. The fresh pea soup with crab was extraordinarily delicious and is a must have. I brought a twenty year old premier cru burgundy from my collection and was pleased to see a reasonable corkage charge of $25.00 on the bill . However, the carte des vins was full of reasonably price wine and had a good breath. My date and I shared a mousse au chocolat for desert and it brought a sweet end to a spectacular dinner. Chef Paul came buy and visited after dinner - summer menu is coming soon! Will be back for sure! Merci beaucoup.
Our first time dining here after a friend recommended it. Food was great -our server was fantastic- she helped us with food/wine parings - really enjoyed the experience- will come back again.
Reve’s cuisine is the most professional and authentic French cuisine around.
We went with another couple. Each couple had a member whose was celebrating a birthday. We had onion soup and pea/mint soup. The pea/mint was a cold soup that was flavorful and nicely minty. The onion soup had lots of cheese, good bread, and was slightly sweat as it should be. The 4 entrees were also cooked to perfections. The salmon was cooked just right. The bouillabaisse had a good variety and the person who ordered it ate every drop! The person who ordered the sweetbreads had never had them before. He was pleased by how meaty they tasted. The last entree was the rabbit which was tasty and easy to eat as it almost fell off the bones. The wines were 50% off on a Wednesday, so we got a bottle as recommended by the waitperson. It was fine, but not outstanding. Finally, we had 2 desserts. The mousse had a rich chocolate flavor. But it paled in comparison to the outstanding upside tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream. The tarte was the perfect way to end the meal.
We sat on the patio which was covered because it seemed too cold to be open without heaters. The patio was warm although we did not take off the light weight sweaters we had worn into the restaurant. It seemed to be a delightful place to sit and eat and wonderful meal.
Love, love, love Reve!! It’s our absolutely favorite restaurant/ go to!! Never a miss, always fabulous! Excellent service, food is consistently amazing!! OMG, you have to go if you haven’t been. Go again if you have ❤️
Lovely dining experience. Not too crowded or noisy this last Saturday evening. Sometimes it's noisy when packed, so having a 6:00 dinner was good timing. We enjoyed 4 different entrees and delicious wine. We'll be returning. N. Henderson
Reve is the best French restaurant in the East Bay. Period. Chef Paul does the most amazing dishes delivering on the French classics.
We went for our anniversary dinner. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were made to feel special. The food was spectacular especially the beef cheeks bourguignon! To die for! Great pre dinner cocktails and an excellent Pinot with dinner.
The food & service was outstanding. Loved the french onion soup & the in season braised vegetables. Only complaint is that the tables are very tightly organized...small place, that's why. Very cozy.
Our dining at Reve is consistently EXCELLENT!! Reve is our to go to restaurant on theatre night.
We started with fresh oysters and cold pea soup, which were delicious. Both of us had the special entree--beef bourguignon with beef cheeks which was outstanding with tender beef in a thick dark sauce and savory vegetables. Half price bottle of wine and mango and raspberry sorbet added to an outstanding meal. Our server Arlene did her usual great job. We sat in the patio outside which was very pleasant but for a noisy tow truck in an adjacent lot ( it left eventually). We'll be back.

This is undoubtedly one of my handful of favorite places to eat! Over-used term these days, but truly wonderful little neighborhood bistro. It delivers with an inventive menu with things like the rabbit w/ mustard sauce and roast pork loin (last night’s dinner) with expected favorites of steak frites, mussels, and coq a vin. Wonderful lamb rib chops!
They really make you feel like they’re there to delight you.
Sat outside, which is heated & much more quiet. Food is good, service was great and fairly priced.
Consistently great food and service.
