Mussels: completely flavorless
Beef bourgunuon: overseer
Service was fine
Once again a beautiful dinner on the outside patio - despite a power outage. When the power finally came on they were able to bounce back and manage to serve everyone’s dinner quickly. Everything was delicious - kudos to everybody!!!!
Excellent food and service; a true taste of French cuisine.
Lovely French bistro in an unusual location but food and service were excellent.
Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was packed, inside and out. Our server, despite being overloaded, was friendly and knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. Food was excellent.
Thank you Reve for a wonderful bday celebration. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. The ambience was casual with an older clientele.
Food is mediocre at best.
Everything was good, but the star of our dinner was the gazpacho--WOW!! We have had gazpacho many times in Spain, this was as good or better than we have ever had. The mussels were very good, the broth excellent; my wife's duck was good--and the nectarine tart was sublime. The service as usual was outstanding--Christina, what wonderful service! A big plus was the 50% off the sancerre that we ordered, as we went on a Wednesday night, when Reve reduces the price on its wine list. We will definitely go back again, as Chef Paul did his magic once again.
My wife and I had a delightful time at Reve for our Anniversary. The ambiance, service, and food were exceptional. We will and have already recommended Reve to our friends!
Thank you for everything, we'll definitely be back!
Great dinner as always. Only headache is parking.
From our arrival the experience was welcoming and it was a beautiful evening to sit Outdoors. Our wait staff knew the menu and her recommendations were perfect. She recommended wine, appetizers and entrees. Everything was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed dessert too. Our large group enjoyed onion soup, shrimp salad, cheese puffs, mussels, halibut and chicken. Our dessert choice were fresh peach and apricot tarts. We were dining with friends from New York that complimented the choice of restaurant. A great experience.
Simply wonderful. I dreamt that I was in Paris!!!
The staff efficient, warm, and comforting. The food superb. Wine selection marvelous. A bit pricey, bit worth it on a special occasion.
Ambience quite charming. We will be returning, of course.
We’ve been to Reve several times and have always had wonderful service and food. This time was no exception. And because it was on a Wednesday we took advantage of the 1/2 price bottle of wine!
Temperature inside was cold. Food was ok but some selections were out.
This is the second dinner I have had at Reve and I was once again impressed. Both were special occassion dinners. The food and service was fantastic! I highly recommend dining here.
Food and service was excellent as always.
I felt that it was over priced for what they offered. I spent 80$ that included a cocktail, couldn’t taste the alcohol. Portions were super small and they were stingy with bread.
The hosting and table service was outstanding. Our server was well-trained in French, so could help translate some of the items. The wine list is heavily French and the reds lean toward Pinot Noirs, a more difficult grape to grow and have a successful wine. Our wine choice was one of the two from Central Counties in California and was plebeian. There are many, many more wines in that area that are dependably excellent and at the same price point. We started with cheese puffs and they were light and delicious. Then, came a salad for my partner which was large and beautiful. My onion soup wasn't what was expected. We think it was made with sweet onions and had no beef broth, so was more "veggie" than what we think of as traditional. The thinly sliced bread with baked-on cheese was very nice on top. Our entrees arrived; Beef Bourgogne for my partner and the 8oz. Steak Frite for me. The Bourgogne was built around beef cheeks which were larger pieces of tender beef but there were also small cubes of meat that weren't anywhere near tender. The rib-eye steak was super thin but well-prepared. It's rare to see a steak cut that thin, however, so it was disappointing. The fries were beautifully done. For dessert, we had profiteroles which were delicious. All-in-all, the ambience and clientele of Reve was very good and we had a "good" dinner but our choices were hit and miss.
Our hostess gave us a very friendly greeting & congratulations on our 33rd wedding anniversary. Our waitress & busboy were very attentive to our needs.
The waitress gave us suggestions on their specials & meal sizes.
Everything was Delicious from the fig salad, escargot, roasted beef, roasted chicken, deserts, & lemon drops. We recommend Reve for an intimate dinner.
Definitely recommend this restaurant. Our favorite restaurant. Have french fries to die for and unlike any you will have anywhere else. The entire menu is great.
Delicious and fresh French food served in a friendly and knowledgeable way. It is quiet enough for conversation which I appreciate.
I have been to Reve several times, initially on the recommendation of a friend. I have had only excellently prepared and very tasty dishes that are prepared in the French style. Lamb, duck, escargot, rabbit and, of course, steak and frites are usually on the menu. Then there are the desserts....one absolutely must leave room for delectable seasonal pastries! Overall, if you are looking for a great restaurant with a nice patio, look no further than Reve
Excellent food and wine in a lively atmosphere with attentive service.
A great place for celebrating Bastille Day!!! We always enjoy this restaurant with Paul & Laura & staff. Our waitress Sophie knows us so well by now - she is fantastic!!
Always consistently wonderful food! Loved the use of fresh seasonal and local fruits.
Marvelous food, charming server! We’ll be back!
It is ok good, not as good as many many places in the Bay area. Uninspired. Staff was efficient but not friendly.
I always enjoy going on a Tuesday night for the 50% off on bottles of wine.
Food was all on point. Service was warm gracious and didn't miss a beat. Drank some good wine and there is a great al fresco dining space.
Reve is a wonderful place for celebrating a special day. Going to Reve is like being in Paris having a great meal with equally wonderful service.
While the food was great, the outdoor patio setting was fantastic! Could have been a few more wines from Napa/Sonoma, Have already recommended it to both of my daughters. Look forward to coming back.
We go to a lot of restaurants (you can see how many on dishdining on Instagram) and this is one of our favorites.
First 2 courses were very good. The special main course was not as I had expected and a bit disappointing
We plan to return in the near future
The french onion soup, the beef bourgonoyne (sp?) and creme brulee were great. I wasn't in love with the sweetbreads.
The food is always good and the menu always has many interesting options which vary by season. The device is always good and personable. Good wine list and recommendations. We like to take advantage of the 50% off bottles of wine Tue and We’d so we can try wines we might not have otherwise.
It is our go- to special occasion restaurant. We just got engaged there on the 4th of July!
A charming venue in the garden now that the tent has been opened on the sides. Great menus!
The food was delicious it’s a great value service was a packable my favorite French restaurant
Our meal was super as always. Our waiter was not up to par. He missed putting down one of the entree’s and we had to wait after the others were served. They were also lax on picking up dishes when we were done. We go here often but it was off tonight. The food is true French and we’ll be back.
Great service and wonderful food!
My husband said the beef was the best he’s over had!
