I can’t begin to describe how lucky we are to have this restaurant in BHAM. First off, it’s located in the Pizitz Building which puts you right in the heart of the city within walking distance to just about anywhere you want to go. The service is superb, the wine is out of this world (I am a huge wine snob), the canapáys are scrumptious, the appetizers are literally to die for, the entree is out of this world, and the desserts are just phenomenal. Every single course tastes beautiful. We went for our anniversary and they pulled out all of the tricks to make a woman smile and feel special. We’ve been to tasting tables and most of them are about the food looking pretty and checking boxes. Chef Jacob’s food is beautiful yet it also tastes like Heaven. Chef Jacob is accessible and will accommodate food restrictions without judgment. Another fabulous thing about this tasting menu is that you don’t have to pair your drinks with food, you can order whatever drink you want AND you don’t have to sit with strangers. They offer private seating. We left stuffed and satisfied. The staff graciously took photos to document our experience and genuinely wanted to treat us like kings and queens. Run, don’t walk to Rêve. It’s the new go to restaurant in BHAM.

Appreciate the creativity of the food and the effort made by the chef. Ultimately I was not blown away and for the amount of money charged it just needed to be better. The steak with horseradish cream was fabulous and the creme brulee was outstanding. I was a bit disappointed in the wine pairing because they gave a very small amount of wine (smallest I have ever experienced across four continents) They really need to d better with that as well.

Reve is more than just food. It’s on a different level in terms of service, creativity, and execution of the experience they’re trying to create. We celebrated our 10th anniversary here and the staff made it very special for us. Their 10-course tasting menu was truly outstanding. So many highlights but my favorites were the caviar potato and the petit pois. We enjoyed the approachable nature of the food and staff. This restaurant is somehow just as at home here in Birmingham Alabama as it would be in the 6th arrondissement of Paris.

We had the most wonderful dining experience at Reve. The hostess called the day of our reservation and confirmed our dinner selection (10 course tasting menu), allergies, and even informed us of parking locations. Our server was so professional, friendly, and very aware of when to check on us. She was so informative and well versed in all of the courses in their preparation and the ingredients that were in all of the selections. The dishes were so well thought out, delicious, beautifully prepared, and each course perfectly complimented the course before. Each course flowed out so smoothly. It was perfect timing in between each course. The head chef and the pastry chef each came out to speak to us and carefully explained the course, the preparation involved, and the ingredients. The restaurant is very stylish. This is the perfect place for an incredible meal and the way that all fine dining should be!

Truly, a great experience! We were just looking to try somewhere new, but coming across this place has been awesome! We will definitely be back many a time. The service was impeccable, the food was absolutely wonderful and we really fell at home there even with the top notch cuisine. It didn’t feel stuffy or pretentious in anyway it just felt like a beautiful experience. We really enjoyed meeting the Chef, Jacob, and Kate the pastry chef. They are a delight, super knowledgeable, and super hospitable. Also, Callie, our waitress was wonderful as well. We highly recommend going to this top-notch restaurant here in Birmingham!
